Such an AMAZING experience!! I called to get a quote in Jan and the price for dog sitting was wayyy cheaper than I thought it would be! Especially for like 5 days! They were also kind enough to offer a grooming for Felix while he was there! (Additional grooming charge, of course) he really needed to be groomed so that helped a ton for us! When I went to pick him up they had made a report card with the times he ate and how he did while he was there. They said he loved playing with the other dogs and was well behaved! I will say he seemed kinda sad when we got home.. I think he was missing his new friends.. so safe to say he loved it there 😂❤️ thank you so much for making our experience so amazing! I will definitely be using Hawthorne Pet Den again in the future! If you aren’t using them yet, you’re really missing out on an amazing AND affordable experience!!

They seem to be great for my brother’s dog when we take off somewhere fair price real friendly staff. Wish they would do like the other one he used to and post the pictures of the dog always helps him relax having seeing his ball of energy dog having a blast playing with other dogs also be warned don’t fall your gps my brother tries and it tries to take a road that does not let you access the facility.

So on 11/30/23 I bordered my Great Dane Duke at Hawthorne pet den I was on vacation until the 12/6/23. While I was on my way to pick up Duke my mom got a call ( it’s should be noted that I’m the primary to be called if something goes wrong). They called my mom and said that Duke had bloody discharge coming from his nose and discharge coming from his eyes and they couldn’t get him to stand up. Keep in mind he was in good heath before taking him to Hawthorne pet den. When I got there and asked what was going on they were only concerned with getting paid and wouldn’t let me see Duke until I paid $180. After paying they told me that Duke had started symptoms on 12/5/23 and didn’t call me. They told me Duke wouldn’t stand up and that they needed help with him. When I went back Duke was laying in a Kennel covered in snot and drool and looked like he was about to die. The kennel was disgusting and they didn’t even try to clean him up or his kennel. While I was trying to get Duke to stand up they only told me to call them if what he had was contagious. They didn’t help me get him up or even try to help get him in my truck. Once I got him in my truck I took him to the vet and they told me that he was severely dehydrated and had a respiratory infection the vet explained that he would have caught it from another dog. Keep in mind that Duke doesn’t go around other dogs and is the only animal in my home. So whatever Duke caught he got it in Hawthorne Pet Den and they haven’t posted anything that they have had sick dogs in their facility. And I understand that things happen but it was the way they responded to the incident. We had to pay an over $500 vet bill on top of the $180 stay and all the owners told us is that they were sorry. Now I’m sitting with Duke who was perfectly fine before going into Hawthorne pet den is now having a hard time breathing and standing and won’t eat anything and will barely drink any water. Like I said I understand things happen but if there’s a sick dog in there facility they need to let people know and also when a dog is going through a medical emergency they need to call the owners. It should also be noted that they told me that Duke had been eating treats and some food until the day prior to picking him up but all of their stories changed every time I spoke with them and the food that I took in with him had barley been eaten and he lost over 10LBS. I’m just trying to warn anyone that was thinking about putting their animals in Hawthorne Pet Den that their employees don’t take care of your pets and lie when you confront them with an issue and the owner won’t do anything to help so please don’t risk taking your pets there.

Freddy's and my favorite place to visit! The staff are friendly and easy to talk to, are upfront with costs of services, and my dog does not seem stressed when he comes home. If you need a place that cares about your dog this is the place to go! Thank you for being such a great place!

If I could give this place no stars I would. We brought our dog here while we left on vacation. He was only here 30th-6th and in that short time he became unrecognizable.No attempt to notify or reach us was made when he started to fall sick or stopped eating. The only call we received was the day of the 6th as we were already on our way to come pick him up. They let us know he was having trouble getting up, eating and not acting right. When we arrived they REFUSED to let us back to see him until we paid. I guess money is more important to them. Once we paid we were brought back to him- in a kennel that was absolutely FILTHY and had a horrible smell. My dog was covered in snot and drool. He clearly had been sick for a while.We immediately rushed him to the vet where he had a temperature of 108°. Still having a tremendous amount of snot mixed with blood coming from his nose. The vet gave him IV fluids as he was horribly dehydrated and malnourished. He now is taking steroids and antibiotics. When we called Hawthorne pet den to get an explanation of what happened, we were told nothing but changing stories and empty apologies. At no point have they offered to cover or help vet bills or refund his stay.This behavior and treatment of our dog, let alone any animal is absolutely disgusting. Had they simply called earlier he would not be struggling to breathe like he is. Had they let us know we would’ve been able to get him into the vet sooner. This whole situation was preventable and should’ve never got to this point. They even had permission SIGNED to get him vet attention if needed (why have us sign if you have no intention of getting him help). I am completely disgusted with this business and the behavior of these so called “animal lovers”. DO NOT bring your dogs here. They will be neglected.

We just love the staff here at day care. It's nice to be able to drop off our 2 dogs, Lola and Freddie, for a day if we have a lot going on. It's also nice that they have groomers when they are in need of a bath and nail trim. I am glad we can have that done in one place. Thank you for all of your help.

Our girls love going here and are soooo excited when we drive up to the building. We trust Hawthorn with them, and don't worry about them when they're here. For our furbabies, I'm petty sure it feels like their second home.

We just left our little guy for 12 days while we went on vacation and he came home happy as can be. We were worried about him because he has some separation anxiety but he did great. Highly recommend the Hawthorne Pet Den ❤️

Our Maggie loves going there. They are always so friendly and accommodating. We turn into their parking lot and she gets so excited. We use them for daycare and boarding and know that she is always well taken care of

Came to Pocatello for a little vacation and my husband and I wanted to do things that wouldn’t allow us to bring our dog. We dropped her off here for the day! The staff was super friendly and the place looked super fun for dogs! My dog came back so happy and tired. They have the cutest report card at the end! Will definitely be going back!

Excellent staff that not only cared for our big 140 lbs. Great Pyrenees on his first extended boarding visit, they loved on him like he was family! Their rates are exceptional, and they truly love on your fluffy companion! Book fast; Hawthorne Pet Den is too great to stay empty!

We have never used a pet kennel before for going out of town, I’ve always been extremely suspicious of all of them. This time, we decided to use Hawthorne Pet Den and I am not disappointed whatsoever!!! One of my friends works there, and she was so nice to send a worried furbaby momma pictures and videos! And when we got back, we were told how well they did, the friends they made and how they acted. Our dogs haven’t really had a chance to be introduced to many animals, when we take them to dog parks there’s seldom dogs and they usually leave quickly. Being told how well our pups did with their new friends meant the world to us. We even got a report card for how well they ate. I really love how well Hawthorne Pet Den works, how family friendly they are. We picked our pups up a few hours ago and they’ve been sleeping since! Money and time well spent. I highly recommend!!!

Hawthorne Pet Den is a great facility for pet boarding. We boarded our Labrador Retriever there overnight. I had told them that due to our impromptu trip out of town we might be staying an extra night and we might needed to board our dog another night. They were very accommodating and said to just let them know. We ended up coming back the next day and received a progress report on how he did. We feel or did was well taken care of and will strongly consider boarding him there for or next or of town trip.

It was great, dropped my dog off for a bath and grooming. Staff was kind and courteous. They were finished quicker than expected and was pleased with results. For me, it was worth 50 dollors. We'll continue to return on a monthly basis. Best if you call to set appointment for they get real busy at times.Ask for Ti-Anne. Recommended.

Unbelievably wonderful place for your special family pet! We've been bringing our dog here for about 7 years nearly every day when my wife and I are working as well as boarding him for vacations. If you're looking for a place to board your pets in the Pocatello area, look no further. My dogs Levi and Nellie boarded here when we stayed in Pocatello last July. They had a great time and the staff was awesome. The prices are more than fair and there's no additional fees like some other boarding options. I wish I had a place like this near my home!

I recently took my two dogs there while I had to leave for a work trip. Easy to get them in! My dogs love that place. And they take great care of them. During the day they are able to play with other dogs and go out side where they have some pools and space to run around and play. Over all an excellent place to take your dogs when you have to go out of town. Or even just for the day.

We first came here when other options in town got too expensive. One of our dogs is very timid and scared by almost everything.The first time we dropped him off I had to carry him inside and he had to be carried back by the staff to get him to leave my side.By the third time we dropped them off, both our dogs ran into the pet den and right in back without even looking back to say goodbye.Their excitement for their visit was endorsement enough for us. Clearly they love it their and the staff is always so welcoming and excited to see them.I highly recommend Hawthorne Pet Den.

Echo always LOVES going to daycare. I wish that we could bring her more often as she enjoys interacting with the other dogs. The workers also love our dog. We feel grateful that we have someone to trust when boarding or using the daycare. I highly recommend Hawthorne Pet Den.

Let me just start by saying I cannot recommend this place enough for dog boarding. I have a German shepherd that, putting it nicely, is a difficult case. She's skittish with people she doesn't know, borderline aggressive, and won't play well with other dogs. I always thought boarding just wasn't an option as it would take just the right hand and someone willing to do it. But a friend recommended me to try this place a while back, and I love the people that work here! They've turned my 5 year old girl who was previously refusing to change into a dog I can actually manage around others. I've boarded her here a few times now and the care and patience they show for her is endless. She loves going here. Gets excited when I pull up to the driveway, always seems happy when I pick her up. She's dancing around being friendly to all the ladies. Even the dogs. I've had to board her elsewhere before because they were booked and my dog just wasn't happy. No one shows the care that these wonderful people do. And they're so gracious about it. They keep me updated, they take the extra mile to make sure she's okay and happy and that I'm informed. They put up with me calling every day like a worried mama to check on her, and always seems more than happy to give me her progress report. Thank you for being so great with my girl!

We love Hawthorne Pet Den I have been taking my girl to Hawthorne since it started. I dont just trust anyone with her. My girl loves it there and she is so happy and content when I pick her up. She is one that doesn't just like anyone she would let me know if she didn't. She is a very active dog.The owner and staff love and care for the dogs as if they are theirs. My girl has them trained to rub her belly she loves her belly rubs. If she gets sick they call me or one time she broke a nail while running and jumping and they called me right away. The owner is awesome and compassionate and easy to talk too.

SO happy we found this place. Prices are affordable, staff is friendly and you can tell they care about the animals. They even left a little "report card" about how our dogs ate and how they behaved while there. I would highly recommend.
