This Youth Ranch ROCKS! Jeff went WAY above and beyond the call of duty when I called trying to get the phone number of a local business. I can't think him enough for his willingness to go the extra mile on my behalf to save me a 1.5 hour round trip! We will continue to shop at this amazing thrift store every time we are in the area. Thank you Payette Youth Ranch and your incredibly valuable employee, Jeff!

The prices at this store are ridiculous. I've been to all of the Youth Ranch stores in the Treasure Valley and this store has higher prices than any of the others. I don't even bother going here unless I happen to be in the area and want to laugh at the used $18 hats and $50 printers.Go to the Youth Ranch in Ontario if you can't make it to the ones further east.

Really nice thrift store. Very clean and organized, with a lot of items to look at. Ty hd staff was very polite and the stord was not busy at all, so you had plenty of time to look for treasures. Definitely worth the drive from Boise for an afternoon getaway.

Consistently higher prices than anywhere else in the Treasure Valley. Expect to pay $18 for a nice blouse, $7 for t shirts, $13 for pants. All this stuff is donated. Free. So why the higher mark-up? 🤔

Third or fourth time I've stopped by and they a closed, despite posted open hours. Not to mention the heap of other annoyances like dollar tree items being sold for $4+, or them refusing to let you bring in water bottles in 100 degree weather but allowing non service dogs in.

I recently took some seniors in to shop. The seniors are on a limited income as most of they're income goes to the facility. One wanted to get some leggins, the price was $9.99, they was worn and old. I explained that, we would go to Ross or the Family Dollar where she could get 2 for the price and new. My seniors couldn't afford the prices for used, when they can get new else where. They also didn't have rest rooms, however the local bar a few doors down was nice enough to let them come in and use the rest rooms. I understand maybe one rest room down, but both?Needless to say, I won't be back. Shame on them for not allowing our seniors to use the rest room. They do have rest rooms that work. Pricing used clothing at new prices. Very disapointing, and I have shopped Idaho Youth Ranch for years, also donated.Time to rethink where I donate and shop.

While we were donating items, a very rude and disheveled kid approached my husband and I, told us they couldn't take our things because of the time and to take it back. We will be donating somewhere else from now on, Payette Youth Ranch accepts donations when it's convenient for them.

I've been donating kids clothes and toys 2-3 times a year for the last 3 years or so, usually around 2 big bags full...never had a problem, employees were always nice and appreciative but not last week, as they didn't accept my bags because it was out of their "donation time"...like seriously, your whole business lives of donations and you turn people away giving you free stuff?! Needless to say I'll be donating my stuff somewhere else from now on!!! Apparently its because it gets to full in their backroom and an employee has to go through everything first...well, here's a solution to that, how about having that employee start that process first thing in the morning or hire an additional person!

I love the youth ranch and the people here are always so nice and welcoming BUT the prices here are absolutely ridiculous. I usually don’t buy anything I like because it’s too high or I could just go buy it brand new, which is why I go to thrift stores so I don’t have to spend as much. They have the highest prices I’ve seen at a thrift store which is really kind of sad considering the stuff is donated. I don’t understand how one youth ranch can have super cheap prices (like down in Nampa/Boise) and this one have triple the price on things. It’s so disappointing and I hope one day that will change.

If you are looking for a bargain don't bother shopping here. The prices are HORRENDOUSLY HIGH! i didn't see one single item that was less than full retail cost and many items were 50-100% higher than retail. Reverend Crow would roll over in his grave if he knew that this store was being run this way. The whole point of the youth ranch stores is to support the mission of helping our youth and adoptions as well. You can't make money for those programs as customer after customer leaves with nothing. Just while sitting here writing this review 7 customers left empty handed and i watched several others leave while i was walking around. Even little old ladies were saying how outrageous the prices were and i watched so many people pick items up check the price and say no thank you. This store needs new management asap or it'll end up costing the youth ranch large sums of money to pay rent on a building that might as well shut down because it's just rediculous the way things are going. Shop at the other locations because the kids need money to fund the programs and its a total waste of time shopping here.

Yeah, I won't be going back. I found a few things in there that I wanted and the guy at the register was a little rude. All I had was $50 and my change wouldve been like $27. He said he didn't have the ability to break the $50. If they don't have $27 in their drawer for change then the manager needs to evaluate that. The stuff I was buying was over priced anyway. I said void it and walked out. You don't want the business then lose the business.

It's a great place to get good second hand stuff. They let the kids pick a book for free, which makes it a place my kids really enjoy, too. The only draw back is that they charge a bit much for shirts and pants (I think you can get them about the same at Walmart - depending on the brand). Most other things in there are pretty fairly priced as far as I've noticed.

My mom, daughter, friend and I used to shop at least weekly at youth ranch, but prices have risen so high that none of us shop there anymore. Also I have a problem with cleanliness. Won't go back

The prices are getting a little high but I think we should blame inflation on that, I LOVE THE SELECTIONS HERE ++PLUS it's right next to a bus stop, so convenient!!!

Clothing over priced. Saw a Victoria Secret sweater for $25.99 washed up and definitely used. Not worth the price. Also saw a nike sweater used and not in new quality for $35 dollars. Do the people who do the pricing there not realize that the actual websites of these clothing have these items for new and marked down to about the same price? Whoever the lady was in the back offered another child a free book but not my daughter who was the same age and standings next to the child. Very rude. Will not return.

Clothes are organized. Shelves get gone through alot. But they put out items all day. Fun to see what you can find, each time its like a new selection of goods. And they always have a color tag discount. I Like the one in Ontario and payette too. Staff friendly and helpful clean organized store just a fun experience.

The poor rating is for my donation experience. I tried to donate my queen bed frame and the lady rudely stated that they might not take it because of the rust. There was no rust. Then I proceeded to put some flattened boxes in the cardboard recycling bin. She told me that I couldn't put the boxes in the nearly empty bin because that bin is for store use only. I will never donate here again.

Big store. Nice people. Fair pricing. Great cause. People who complain about prices should realize they have overhead not like a garage sale. It’s hard to have a thrift store with a large store front and make enough to still support their charity. Thanks

I got a case of IBS right after my arrival. They were refusing to let me use the restroom. Knowing I wasn't going to make it. I just insisted. While arguing my case I'm crapping my freaking pants. I was about ready just go sit on their couches and chairs. When she finally let me use the restroom. They are lucky I'm not vindictive. Next time they might not be so lucky... Every Youth Ranch I've been in has bathrooms. Also I was harrassed about my 4 lbs Yorkie THAT IS A SERVICE DOG. Won't be going back there. And seriously thinking of calling corporate to report this.

Good selection, good prices, clean and friendly staff. If you need a certain item most likely you will get lucky if you check the store weekly.

Prices are steep for a thrift store. And they represent like they support programs for kids making it ok for ppl to pay their steep prices but my understanding is some of the orginal 6 kuds programs they use to fund some of them have been shut down..? But new stores continue to pop up... maybe board members are getting extra rich or idaho is running out of children in need of help. Not likely. Also most other thrift stores provide community support in one way or another but not the idaho youth ranch. And wait theres one in Ontario why shouldnt that be an oregon youth ranch im confused. Also their directors above store level have singe unorthodox tactics for running such a shop your not at macys people your at the youth ranch meant to help but who is this non profit really supporting?? I think its supporting its board members very lavishly

Pricey for modest selection in any small town USA. However, the staff have always been warm & inviting and we thank them for that😉
