After purchasing products from you I have questions about application schedule. I’ve tried calling both Meridian and Nampa stores for the last several days and only get recorded message saying you are busy. Just checked Nampa store on line and it says not busy. I don’t want to play phone tag with you so guess I’ll just wing it and hope I don’t kill my lawn. You do know you have competitors, right?

Nampa is one of my favorite Zamzows stores! They really know what they're doing. I've never been disappointed in the help or products here. Their houseplant inventory is abundant right now 🤩. Lots of beautiful plants that I haven't seen anywhere else! If you're looking for reptiles please GO HERE first before looking at places like Petsmart. They really care for their animals and won't let you leave with one unless you are fully ready and educated on care. Unlike places like Petsmart they won't let someone buy an animal if it is too young or not yet adjusted to its environment. They may be a bit more expensive than chain stores but from experience now I know it is all worth it!

I like Zamzows. I went to look for an Aloe Vera plant and lo' and behold I found one! It was probably 4-5 yrs. old. I was astounded by its size and beauty. They also have animals in there.

Parking lot is a bit hard to get to, looks like the area roads were closed off into that area. But, it is a great pet store and some of the best yard and garden supplies supplies I have ever seen.

Evan was soooo helpful. We came in completely clueless about how to take care of our lawn. I have never met anyone more knowledgeable about the proper feed, seed, and nutrients specific to our issues with our lawn. Mind blown! Thanks Evan! Definitely going to be our go to lawn/garden center

The dog food prices keep getting more and more outrageous! I have mentioned having some sort of loyalty program like other places to which I have been told they have talked about it in meetings but have no plans to start. A sign in the store reads that they think their prices are fair 😄

The nampa store has a surly woman named CC or CeeCee. I asked for help with aquatic plants. It's roasting hot out there and nobody came. So I went back inside and 2 female employees are having a chit-chat. If you are having a personal conversation on the sales floor and a customer asks for help, rolling your eyes and saying "we are really short staffed." AND CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION is flat out rude. To then cop an attitude and be snide is not going to make things better. She was like a surly teenager. By the time we get to the aquatic plants there's 4 other people and she actually says "okay which one of you was first" and even the other customers looked at her like "uh, someone brought you out here." I was planning on a large purchase but she was so horrible I got the bare minimum for my pond and left. She snapped and snarked everything I said. It was demeaning and hostile. That isn't the vibe I'm used to at ZamZows. Why be in customer service/sales if you don't like people.Awful experience.

They've got a pretty decent selection if you're looking for pet or garden supplies. I marked it down one star just because it's a little more expensive than what I would like to spend for most things. But I'm a bit of a cheapskate, so you can take that with a grain of salt.

Great job Zamzows and staff! We decided to bring our puppy on a field trip/shopping trip. This location is beautiful and so clean. Every single employee was so friendly and helpful! We chatted about axolotls, learned the best way to help urine spots in our lawn and our puppy got so much love! Thank you for having an amazing staff in a world where “no one wants to work”.💗

Recently moved to Caldwell, and this might be my favorite Zamzows store I’ve been to. Tremendous selection, friendly staff and a terrific store manger (Ken) who went above and beyond to help me out with getting soil for my new raised beds. Feels good to have this great garden store right down the road.

The store was great! Awesome selection of pet and plant supplies but customer service, especially at the cash register, needs to improve. We were treated with no respect when checking out and 2 of the cashiers were very arrogant and had bad attitudes, not the way I wanted to exit the store. On a happier note, the pet associate was extremely helpful, had a great attitude and made it obvious that he loved his job!

I've been going here for years for pet supplies. Decided I wanted a lizard but wasn't sure what I wanted. I was very impressed with the service Rayden provided, not only talked me into getting 2 lizards but hooked me up with a really nice setup and was extremely informative about literally any reptile you're interested in.

I have been very happy with every experience here.Update to my review I left 4 years ago. We are still very happy with this location and the staff and products that they have. This is where we go to get all of our cat and dog food as well as supplies for some of our other animals. If you have never been or haven't been in a while may I suggest stopping by and perusing the aisles. If nothing else you could get your favorite loved one a little gift. #Supportlocal

I came in on a Wednesday night very interested in a sweet little ferret, but wasn’t 100% it was a good idea and wanted to check with my partner. Since it was close to closing, they offered to hold her until the next day when him and I got off work...I periodically called and checked in to make sure they were still holding her for us and they were! Super thankful for how kind and accommodating the staff was with us and I’m so excited to have a new addition to our family 🙂❤️

Friendly, helpful staff! I spend most of my time in the fish/aquarium section. Cheaper prices, more selection and their fish seem to be healthier than pet stores. They have a better selection of live aquarium plants too. So glad I learned more about Zamzows. Go see for yourself!

My daughter wanted a bunny and was told there was multiple to choose from when we called so we headed over there and was told two where on hold and only one was available, they then told us that one was off holding but we kept getting tossed back and forth. Now during this time I looked around at the fish they had and was shocked to find one fighting for life caught in the net, I helped it out but two workers where just talking and one was holding a snake. We finally got a definitive answer about the bunny and where able to buy a different one, we found out that the one they had and we wanted was on hold for five days. The person who finally helped us out was actually someday knowledgeable but kept talking about her hedgehog, which I have no problem with but we spent an hour in the store and honestly just wish I bought my daughter a hamster instead of spending 300 at this store.

Raiden was phenomenally helpfull!! Very knowledgeable and direct to the point honest.. We came in with intentions of purchasing a ferret or two and we left more than satisfied with Cid and Bear! This store used to be one of my favorite Zamzows but since Rachel left the pet room it has gone downhill. Not sure what went down but this company could greatly benefit from someone knowledgeable especially in the pet room. Rachel knew everything from fish to reptiles to birds and could answer any questions you had about any of the species with ease. It was easy to see that she knew her stuff and researched beyond just the basics. Now we go in and they don't seem to know the answers to basic shrimp questions and the tank quality of the fish and shrimp overall is poor.Its unfortunate most zamzows are this way but they don't seem to want to hang on to valuable employees.

The customer service here is above par. The selection is pretty good for pet and lawn products. Garden selection is pretty small.Sale tactics can be deceptive. Was expecting a 10% off all pet products as per the signage "all over" the store. Got to the checkout and no discount was given. Was told I had to buy a bag of pet food to get the discount. Despite the signage not indicating this. I spoke with corporate regarding this and they apologized and said it was an error on the part of the local management. Ive been hesitant to return to see whether they have fixed this issue with future sales.

For the love of God, educate your employees. As a first time ferret parent, I was told that Premium fussie cat brand food was sufficient. Now my ferret is sick. Partially my fault for not properly researching before purchasing but we fell in love aeconds of seeing a ferret.DO NOT FEED YOUR FERRET CAT FOOD. FERRETS EAT PROTEIN . Only protein.

We have been to this Zamzows location multiple times in the last few months trying to decide what we are going to do for our new lawn and garden. They are always very knowledgeable and willing to help. Zach has helped us decide what to get for pests and for planting our yard every time we have gone there and he isn't every pushy. He just gives us his advice and answers any questions we have- amazing customer service!

We buy our dog food here (Grandma Z's) and pleased with their lawn and garden options. However customer service is lacking big time. I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting while a girl was on the phone taking an order. An older lady came to help check people out and instead of helping me (I was first in line) she helped 4 OTHER FAMILIES CHECK OUT. The girl on the phone asked if she could help me because this old lady was ignoring me and she was told to call the phone order back and help me. The lady continued to check out other people while I waited. So unbelievably rude. I may stop buying their brand of dog food because of this, not going to shop somewhere that treats their customers like trash.

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Nice selection of small pet supplies for my gerbils. Only place in town I've found that carries all of the individual Kaytee CritterTrail pieces without having to buy full sets. They also carry bulk pet food; a great buy compared to the pre-bagged commercial variety.

Not at all happy with these guys. Ordered some Dog Food about 10 days ago,didn't hear anything from them so I called yesterday and was told that it had just arrived. Went in to pick it up today and was then told it was never ordered. This kinda stuff irritates the hell out of me, especially when I have to drive in 30 minutes from the homedale area to pick it up. My time is valuable too folks! I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
