I recently found out that this place offers pet grooming so I decided to give them a try. The groomer was very friendly she was good at comforting my pup since it was his first time getting groomed. It took her about an hour and my pup looked and smelled so good after. I will definitely be taking my pup back again.

After years of waiting for his own pet, I finally took my son last week to get rats. We went Thursday night and picked out 2 rats. The girl seemed very helpful and knew we had not owned rats before so told us what cage to get (the most expensive one of course) and said it was perfect for rats. We didn't know any better so we got the cage and 2 rats. We noticed the rats could fit through the bars after we got home if they tried, but didn't seem to really try so we didn't think it was a huge deal. Saturday night (TWO days later) one of the rats died suddenly. After some research online, we figured it was a respiratory illness that she most likely had when we got her. This was my son's first pet and he was very heartbroken and traumatized. Knowing rats are happier in pairs, we got a second rat from Zamzows. Very quickly, both rats were easily hopping in and out of the cage. I did some more research online and read on every site I looked at that rats shouldn't be in cages with more than 1/2" between bars. The cage the girl here told us to get was 1" between bars. Now we have to spend even more money on a new cage. The owner of the store was very rude and will not let me return the cage and will not offer anything for my son's poor pet who died after only 2 days. I'm extremely unhappy and will NEVER shop here again and will share this experience with everyone I know. Poor animal care, poor customer service, preying on inexperienced customers... I wish I would have done more research on both rats and the store before I went here.

Took our two dogs for grooming. Caitlyn did a great job at a very reasonable price. Have already made their next appointments. Customer service at checkout was very good and friendly. Thank you Pets & Co.

They are dishonest, rude, and will rip you off in two seconds. I was not impressed when I went there. I saw a rare tarantula species being sold and she was very small (too small to display any identifying markers) and had no water for 3 days. I went back on the 3rd day to check if she had received water because I was worried.I wound up buying her. I spent a lot of money on this animal and now she is getting a bit bigger and she is NOT the species they sold her as and not worth even a fraction of what I paid for her.This crummy place doesn't even have an email so I can't even contact them to be mad at.

We will not ever go back! Treated poorly and talked down too. We had a new bag of gerbil cage litter, never opened, he would not take it back because we had it a few days longer than their 10 day return policy. Petco treated us so well since we started going there.

I don’t know about the store, but the groomer is great. She has decent prices, is friendly, and treats my dog with love. I also like seeing her boys there - it’s a family affair. I’ll keep going to her for as long as she is around. Thanks Caitlyn!

This place is a joke! I saw a small kitten that needed to be saved for the horrible living conditions it currently was in. I realized immediately that the kitten was sick, she had the goopiest eyes but I didnt care I just wanted to get her out of there. The old man offered me a discount to take her because she had been there for so long because no one wanted an all black cat. The groomer Caitlin stated that she was specializing in feline care and was very cocky and rude. Again I didnt care that the dog she was grooming had a crooked top knot, I just wanted to get that kitty home. When we got up to the register I realized the kitten was late on her booster shots but the old man said that he sold them in the store and asked if I wanted to buy them and do them myself. I took the kitty home and she is so sick, sneezing and goopy eyes and her ears are so badly infected. We have a vet appointment for her, I'm so grateful that we were able to save her little life because people like this should not be running a pet business. Dont say you are specializing in cat care and then sell me a sick cat. I've never in my life ever wrote a review about a place but I just hope that someone shuts this place down! Poor animals.

There are two old men who work here that are very condescending when you ask about their animals. I asked politely if they sold female parakeets, and the level of disrespect and elitist attitude they had was very unprofessional. Their answer was "Sureeee.." and "Of course" in a very rude and vile tone,what kind of answer is that?The younger girl who works here has been very nice in the past and actual knows common decency when dealing with customers. Maybe these two men should learn from her a bit, because it is obvious that they weren't raised with any manners in their 60-70 years on this planet.I wouldn't even buy an animal from here because I bet it would die as soon as I brought it home from all the mistreatment it endured in this evil store. All of the bird's feathers look unhealthy as well. The animals are cooped in tiny glass windows too.Stay far away from this hell hole, I just wish someone could save all those animals from those evil owners. :(

My husband and I visited Pets & Co in the Nampa Karcher Mall last night and I left very concerned for the animals in the store. I couldn't believe the deplorable conditions they are living in. The fish tanks were dark and covered in algae. You couldn't even see the fish inside of the tanks. The betta fish looked like they were dying. The reptiles were in cages to small for them and covered in feces. The two puppies they had were in a section of the store with no bedding, a saturated puppy pad and feces smashed all over the floor and wall. The teenage employees in the store were sitting behind the register visiting with each other and on their phones. I am very surprised that this store is even allowed to operate.

Absolute garbage. German Shepherd was yelping in pain. As the dog was being washed by an employee. The pressure of the hose was so close to the dogs fur. I don't care what anyone else says. I am against animal cruelty. It was uncomfortable to see and hear when brought to the attention of the employee and I heard the employee cussing about me and she was very loud I could hear her from the front of the store I had to walk out because it was so unprofessional. And they had disclosed it was a service dog and that's why the dog was whining and yelping. Absolute lie.

Nice staff. They have a variety of aquarium fish, turtles and smaller birds. They had a few reptiles good prices on pets and equipment. Will be going back soon.

Very unsanitary. I was viewing an employee cleaning out the bird cages and the bottoms of the cages are just lined with news paper; the employee maintaining the avian area was just picking up the old news paper and throwing it on the floor and that's not proper parakeet and parrot care. A lot of the animals are poorly cared for. The prices are over priced compared to Petco and or petsmart. Very low grade animal / pet care place/ petstore. They still even using old outdated training methods.

We stopped in about 15 minutes to closing time and one gal was helping someone else. We browsed while we waited and then asked for help getting fish. Another gal with short blonde hair insisted they close at 8 and we had to go. It was still several minutes before 8pm at this time. We explained we just wanted a couple of fish and already picked them out. The blonde lady was extremely rude and still insisted we leave. We were out of the mall and in our car prior to 8pm. Terrible customer service.

I will never support or recommend this store to anyone!! I came on to look at fish, I personally own seven fish tanks that are up and running and am always looking at more bigger better etc. I found an African cichlid that would go well in my African tank and my boyfriend and I got really excited when we saw their female wolf cichlid (south american), she had aEggs and was protecting them fiercely, she was gorgeous. We decided to add her to our south american tank. Here is where things went wrong. The lady in the back that helped us was very sweet even though she was nervous to handle the wolf cichlid. This was completely understandable considering the teeth and the fact that she was guarding her eggs. She said they didn't have a bag big enough for her, she is about 8-10 inches. So she said that they could offer us a bucket to bring her home in if we returned it. We asked if they would charge us and she said no. When we got to the counter the gentleman was very rude. His first words were "whats with the bucket" In a very harsh tone. We explained that we wanted tbe wolf cichlid and she was too big to fit in a bag and that the nice lady in the back said we could bring the bucket back tomorrow. Unhappily, he proceeded to ring us up. Before paying he explained that he always charges for the bucket so that he gets it back. Let me just clarify, this was an old beat up cat litter bucket that was all cracked up. I told him that the lady said she wouldn't charge us. So he said then I need a phone number to reach you at. So I said "okay my number is area code 360..." And he cut me off and said in an extremely rude tone " I need a local area code" ... I said sir I don't have a local #... I have lived here more than a year and just didn't want to change my number. We had to give him my boyfriends mothers # just to get out of the store. I am very very unhappy with the customer service I received at pets and company

It was a little horrifying seeing the conditions of the animals, small cages and no socialization. One of the adult ferrets they hads cage was so small she couldnt turn around properly. Also their hedgehogs are all super aggresive and not socialized at all, the worker didnt even want to tempt touching them. I would hope to see the animals in the correct cages and socialzed correctly before being sold, someone not experienced with those types of animals might think thats ok to do and its so far from ok.

My son, sister, grand daughter and I went to the Karcher Mall today. My son wanted to take my grand daughter in to the pet store, Pets & Co. to see the animals. I have never been very fond of this store because the animals are always unkempt, half of the fish are dead, the tanks are so dirty you cannot see through them, there are too many birds in one cage, etc. Today was no exception. The cages were filthy, the fish tanks were disgusting, half the fish were floating sideways, and the birds all looked miserable. My sister has owned quaker parrots for years and the little quaker parrot they have looks very sickly and sad. She went up to the owner to very nicely tell him that his bird looked ill, and he proceded to yell at her in the store, tell her how ignorant she was, and treat her very rudely about how she obviously didn't know what molting was ( which she does). This bird's feathers were horrible, it didn't move for over three hours, and looked like it was ying. It's water was dirty, and there was almost no food in his cage. Quaker Parrots are very social, happy creatures--with the exception of this one. He needs investigated, those animals need rescued, and he needs to be shut down.

Everything but the puppies there is malnourished and in horribly dirty enclosures. Fish tanks look like They haven't been cleaned in years. The lizards have mbd due to lack of uv and calcium. Don't buy there they won't guarantee the animals at all at least petco and others will give store credit if a fish or lizard dies within 14 days. I would call it animal abuse but since it's not a permanent home just a shop they don't get anywhere trying to call them in.

That store is the worst ever to buy a pet,dogs are not healthy,cages dirty birds are a mess dirty water, I hate that store and the old lady that feeds the birds, is about as friendly as a gorilla,My friend got a dog from there and it died one week to the day from Parvo. dogs do not come from breeders,puppy mill only. the old man there is a jack ass, he needs to get out of the store, and be a pooper scooper

The puppies in the cages had no food or water and didn’t even have a blanket to sleep on. Just a wire cage. The other small critters were living in their own filth and also had no water or food. Terrible conditions for these poor animals!

Dont touch the puppies! We dont have that in stock! And We cant do refunds! Are not things people want to hear. Management was not friendly or considerate to his shopping populations, and only cared if our dog visited the groomer there. Terrible experience. Look at these reviews!

My fiancé and I visited this store and both left disgusted and sad. The animals deserve better living conditions. I don’t know how a place like this is even allowed to stay in business. If I could I’d give them negative stars because they don’t even deserve one.

This is just a sad place for animals to get sick and die... I popped in to look at some fish. Some were dead, others were dying. Tanks were dirty. A few fish were absolutely covered in ich. I get so sad when I go here. I honestly hope they shut down and have a much better pet business take their place.

The old man running the store was very rude & unwilling to answer questions in a respectable manner. The conditions in which the pets were kept were absolutely horrid. No water, dirty cages, etc.

Went around town looking for tiger barbs.. Petco had some for around $4 each.. But when I showed up here their barbs were $1.49 each which was a huuuuuge savings the lady that helped was nice and patient even tho the store had a lot of customers and she was the only employee there she was helpful and made sure my needs we taken care of.

I called for info on a puppy I had purchased and they had no record if it. They don't seem to be very organized. I am also 99% sure I was lied to about the breed because she isn't anything like either breeds specified. She is something completely different.

All there animals are very cheap and very well cared for. The parakeet cages are a little cramped but through my own experience parakeets are small and like to be with other parakeets.

When I went in there the bunnies didn’t have any hay and are in wired cages. Not good at all for bunnies!! Somebody needs to be taking better care of these animals.

Bought a rabbit and it died within 3 days of having him and called left messages and called and got told I would get a call back after talking with the boss to see what could be done and never did get a call back.*Update* finally got a call back and got told to come in and speak to the owner about it I will be going in tomorrow to see what will be done

Tanks were filthy. Fish had ick. Birds did not look happy and healthy. People working there did not seem to care. This place needs to be closed permanently.
