LeBaron's has good ratings, so I stopped while I was in the area. Evrything was good. Its an older place that occupies two smaller shops to make a diner sized place.Everyone was friendly and working hard. Service time was good and the food was hot.I tried a Hawaiian Omelet with hashbrowns and pancake. I think it was $20.Big portions!This is a great locals place. The staff greeted several customers by name while I was there.

Based on the Google reviews and the line, I had assumed this was a decent place to grab breakfast. I don't usually write bad reviews but this place was utterly underwhelming. The cheese steak omelette was flavorless, undercooked, and watery. The hash browns, which are hard to mess up, were soggy and bland. Even with cheese and bacon, they couldn't be eaten. The French toast was bland as well, and I took maybe 3 bites and gave up. The coffee was the only edible redeeming factor. The staff was nice, however. I would *never* return, and I rarely say that either. It's not worth the wait or the trip.

I haven’t been here for at least 20 years so we decided to give it a shot before the farmers market. They were very busy, but it seat yourself and we got right in and the waitress was immediately their greeting us which was surprising. I ordered the prime rib and eggs and end with a side of French toast. We had a biscuits and gravy, and then a couple other orders with a sausage patties for the two girls. Everybody did like their food I didn’t love the gravy for the biscuits and gravy but I’m sure it is somebody’s style and the French toast wasn’t my style but my Hub loves that Texas toast, French toast I can’t express enough about how great our waitress was. She was prompt she was attentive, and she was super busy, the place is adorable. It’s got a lot of vintage antique pieces that they’ve kept like their bar. Amazing there was lots of seating and again they were very busy man. You had a great options and their prices were good.

It had been a while since we eating here but have to say The pancakes 🥞 are steel Giant and fluffy and full of flavor as always. But I have to say I was a little disappointed with the biscuits and gravy... I was looking forward to eating them but it was over season too much black pepper I wasn't able to eat it. Something was really off like it was not what I expect... And on the other hand the French toast were delicious!

As a customer perspective the food is great and the staff is always friendly but don't get use to a server cause they usually don't last there. As a previous employee perspective you have a different experience. You get use to the small spaces and the dish pit that doesn't really get the dishes clean but the lack of respect you get from the owner is something you can't get past. On multiple occasions my checks would be short up to 10 hours. Yes it would get fixed once I brought it up but it also just shouldn't have happened. And the more you fight to get paid for the hours you work your hours slowly get cut until he just decides to write you off the schedule. He doesn't fire you cause then you would have the opportunity to apply for unemployment, he just simply takes you off the schedule and then never replies back to you. So next time you come in and your favorite server is gone just know they are probably just as sad as you are cause we lose our jobs for us just wanting things to be fair. It took me a long time to have the courage to leave this review but almost a year later and I still hear about people not being treated fair. I feel customer deserve to know the type of person their money is going to.

We went to the car show in Nampa.Afterward, we dropped in for breakfast at La Baron's Honker Cafe. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The building was old but clean. The food was just okay. We both left most of the food on our plates. I had a spinach omelet. It wasn't good, and my hubby had chicken fried steak. The steak was excellent. The biscuits were hard, and the gravy tasted like flour. The potatoes were very good and so was the toast. Maybe we will come back another time and try something different.

An older style of Cafe / restaurant with the look and feel of days gone by. This nostalgic visit was no disappointment. Seldom was there an empty table, and most often than not, there were people coming in the door. I didn't see anyone wait more than a minute or two waiting to be seated. We were greeted with a smile and made to feel like we were the most important customers of the day. I personally ordered the French Dip Sandwich with fries. It was not a traditional thin sliced prime rib but a thick slice of prime rib that was by far larger than the bun and served with Auju. Very tasty slice of meat as well. Our food arrived hot and with a smile. Everyone was working hard, from the person bussing tables to the waitress. Prices are reasonable and comparable to similar establishments. They offer a fresh homemade cinnamon roll that greatly exceeds the word large. Definitely worth the stop in Downtown Nampa Idaho.

Just ate at the honker. We used to go all the time, but circumstances happened, so hadn't been there for a long time. Boy we will be going back soon.The owner came to our table right away, and explained the daily special. What a great customer service. I'm sorry I didn't want lunch, it sounded amazing.I had the farmers breakfast and sub bacon for the ham. I'm telling you it was amazing. Really even better than it used to be. I also sub toast for a scone. Wow. I couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband.Thanks for being such a a great restaurant.See you soon

We tried this place out today for breakfast because of all the great reviews. The service was friendly and prompt. It wasn't too busy at all(we were there around 8am). I ordered the haystack breakfast and my companion ordered the chicken fried steak. We both thought the food was soooooo bland and I'm not a picky eater. We will not be going back.

I had an amazing experience here and the food was delicious 😋 the staff here are super friendly, and very prompt with their service. It does stay pretty busy but there wasn't a long wait! And as you can see from the pictures I was only able to eat half of the biscuits and gravy so they're not shy with the portions!

Better than I remember! We had a party of 8 on a Wednesday morning for my daughter's birthday. We felt right at home, as the restaurant wasn't a quiet place, and we are not a quiet family 😅 Angeleah was our server and she was so attentive and kind!! EVERY restaurant could use one of her. The other serving staff were also helpful. Angeleah gave us awesome recommendations for our meal, one of which being the cinnamon swirl french toast (you really only need one slice, humongous) Needless to say, the cinnamon french toast was delicious and decadent, no syrup needed. Our family had no complaints with the food and coffee. We will be back again soon!!Dietary restrictions: Offer gluten free bread

1st time eating here. This was a wonderful lunch. I had a meat lovers omelet, it was great. Lots of meat, sausage, bacon and ham in a delicious 3 eggs omelet. My wife had a beef dip. It was very flavorful and came with a side salad. My granddaughter enjoyed the 1/3 pound Angus cheese burger and fryers. We had a excellent young gal as our server. She did a great job.

My son and I went here for the first time and let’s just say I was very disappointed. My hashbrowns were over cooked/burnt, French toast was cold and tasted old, my son pancake was over cooked, no butter, hard to cut up to where he couldn’t eat it. The only thing we could ate were the sausage links. The service was bad. The waitress was cold. When I told her about the food, she said oh you don’t like the hashbrowns that done? Like it was my fault for not liking burnt food. Then gave me a punch card for next time, like I’m coming back here. lol. My son and I left hungry.

This is an amazing breakfast restaurant. We were visiting with a large church group and the waiters (Lisa and Alisha) did an outstanding job of hosting us and getting our food on time and correct. Our entire group was wowed by your service. Definitely one to remember. Thanks again. Food and hot cakes were outstanding. By far the best.

I'm tickled pink we found this little spot. Whilst the menu is very limited during the pandemic, the things they do offer are amazing. The portions are huge and everything was cooked to perfection. The biscuits are moist, the hot cakes are fluffy and the sausage links are probably the best I've had in years. IF I had to add something negitive to make this a well rounded review, I would say that the sausage gravy is a bit strange because it's made with bacon drippings. It dominated the overall flavor. Other than that, we've got zero complaints. We'll be back!

One of my favorite places to eat now!I'd like to eat dinner here but since there is construction they close at 3 instead of normal hours of operation. They have the best fries that I have ever had! They make a pretty good thick ranch as well. I had an omelette and it tasted great. The omelette was a Philly type of omelette and the cheese melted right on top was portioned nicely. I think the waitress gal was named barb but I'm not sure. She was very friendly and did everything a server should do. She checked on us often but not over barring either. Even the tall guy was friendly and helped us when we needed it. I didn't get the guys name but he definitely deserved recognition as well. I liked that the ketchup bottle was a glass bottle. It's small things like a glass bottle instead of a plastic one that excites me lol. The only downfall that I could possibly see about this place is parking but it's expected for a downtown place. You're supposed to walk around downtown. Hats off to the person running this little restaurant. The place was clean, the people were friendly, and the food was tasty and hot! Check this place out if you haven't already.
