Very nice people and we don't get to Mountain Home very often. A couple of the items were a couple dollars higher than they stated on the Shelf the $3 head of lettuce was a joke the tag said 1.29 but unless you got down on your knees and took out a magnifying glass you would see that it's a $1.29 a pound for lettuce OMG $3 for a head of lettuce at the commissary sad day. The staff again they were very sweet

I’m so fed up with mountain home and its “amenities”. Please tell me why it’s a Saturday and they don’t open until 1000. Would have been nice to run over there quick and grab bacon for my family last minute and surprise them with a big breakfast but nope can’t even do that because their hours are insane. Do better mountain home do better. Also doesn’t help that my children and I walked through two managers who were smoking right by the front door and in front of the sign that says no smoking within 50 feet. Like they were staring at the sign while smoking. Classy

A smallish but well stocked store. Recently underwent a major renovation. Looks good. Stocking has improved. The store is well packed. Typical variety aimed at the base population and a number of items not found at local sources.

Very nice Famcamp. But if you don't like jets taking off at all hours of the day and night then this place is not for you. My husband and I enjoy the sounds of freedom.New landscaping, concrete pads, close to base ammedies, free movies at base theater and the price was great, full hook-UPS but no wifi.

MHAFB exchange is always a great place to browse. You never know what you will find! Check it out! We made a great buy on a lawn mower, who would think--on base!!

Nice smaller store, had everything I needed to get back out on the road in the morning. Very nice helpful staff even at the ungodly hour we were there. Good priced gas, and good quality products.

Has everything I need and then some. Grateful to have the commissary available!Clean atmosphere, great prices, professional people and easy maneuvering.Remember, your bagger is a volunteer and they work for their tips!

It's hard to beat most of the prices however there isn't a time that I visit that something I routinely purchase is not in stock. Their customer service is horrible.

Please give us more selections in the Asian food section, such as korean style noodles, and Filipino noodles such as pancit canton orchid brand, silver swan vinegar and soy sauce.

Although the MHAFB commissary is a smaller store, that is a good thing in my book. A good selection in a smaller place means less time wandering isles and more time getting what you need. Our most recent visit took 15 minutes. We got what we needed, a few things we wanted, paid and we were done. That’s an ideal shopping trip for me.

Living here on base for the past 6 months. I do 99 percent of grocery shopping here. I usually don't have problems with finding what I need. The only isle that I saw half empty was the tp isle a week before Thanksgiving. The staff at self checkout is extremely friendly.

Everyone I have ever encountered at the self checkout here went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. I have an overly chatty toddler who loves everyone, and he’s been met with nothing but kindness and waves.It’s such a small thing, but makes a worlds difference when I’m trying to get us checked out and gone. I’m always grateful!

Ideal place to shop. I can find excellent prices on choice cuts of meat. My favorite coffee is stocked there. It's not far from town. Overall has more of a mom and pop/ family market feel compared to other exchanges/commisaries I've utilized.

Pros: Low prices, decent selection, good meat department.Cons: Produce sucks! Don’t even waste your time. Also inventory must not be checked often because I always find expired items on the shelves.

VERY LIMITED on the most basic items. Lots of empty shelves spaces. No wonder my kids go to Walmart for the most basic stuff like milk & bread. If you're looking for something specific, save yourself time & just go somewhere else!! If you can find you desired item the price is reasonable.

I love the commissary. I am grateful that I don't have to drive to town every time I needed groceries! This commissary is small, but so cozy and familiar. Thankfully, I only have to go to Wal-Mart in town once or twice a month to get a few things. The workers are friendly; the rotisserie chicken is very yummy too!

It really depends what day it is and who is working if you're going to have friendly staff or not. One day you'll get someone who clearly does not want to be there by the look on their face and one day you'll have someone who is super sweet and helpful. I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me out awhile ago (it has probably been a couple months) when it was just my daughter and I but thank you if you remember me. I think you were wearing a Captain America t-shirt. Just know that you made my day a whole lot better by being so helpful.This is a good place to buy meat but this is not a good place to buy fresh produce. I like to get their frozen discount meats. Their produce spoils pretty fast so I avoid getting fruit/lettuce, etc.Overall, I shop here occasionally and they tend to have fair prices.

Great prices and they carry foods that aren't available in town. Currently the store is being remodeled so it is difficult to navigate and find your favorite foods. But the staff is very helpful.

Love it! Has some specialty item you cant get at walmart. My favorite malt vinegar for one. They have a fresh sushi bar there too!

This commissary has been recently remodelled, but always has been a nice clean store to shop at. The prices are good, especially their meats but often the shelves aren't stocked well and products are also dropped, which is disappointing. We travel an hour once a month to shop there.

Selection of groceries is almost back to pre-covid shutdown availability. They still require face coverings. But shelves appeared well stocked with toilet paper, meat, cleaning products, etc. They had cloth masks available in black or white. They didn't appear to be limiting entry like before. They only had one checkstand open, but there was no line back-up either.

Stefan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the mesh wifi systems and the sound bars. We truly appreciated him making what would have been hair pulling decisions easier for our family.

Fairly well stocked for a base this size. The ongoing renovation does not appear to have affected shopping yet and I'm interested in how it will look when they are done. There was no wait at checkout.

Commissary is nice, but the regular (non self checkout) lines don't get used because all of the baggers expect tips. If you do use these lines, they will push your cart out to the car which is nice. It's awkward though when you only have one bag and they expect a tip and try to carry that single bag out to your car.

I just ordered a sandwich in the deli. It's inedible. I don't know what ingredient it is but I suspect someone put dirt from the floor in the pepper shaker. Absolutely awful. Tried to call but they won't answer their phone.
