Fish tanks haven't been in the best of shape for a long time, algae and dead fish in most. Hard to find helpful staff; there is a woman in particular (older, larger, light brown/grayish hair) who is particularly unfriendly. Oh well. Thankfully there are other options for pet products in this town, my last visit helped by. encouraging me to take my money to said other places, lol.

AMAZING SERVICE! Em did such an incredible job with my 3 big dogs. The haircut was incredible, he's super soft, she was knowledgeable and quick to prioritize a realistic goal for our grooming appointment. Got them back to see her again. And can't wait!

Really great Petco location. Store is clean and staff is always helpful. Has always been stocked with everything we have needed for reptiles and fish.

What we have a puppy half dachshund half pitbull (the mother was the Pitbull), who at best is a little anxious about going places why me, needy, pray it doesn't rain because the windshield wipers drive him nuts, but he goes for grooming at Petco they treat him quite well he loves going there it makes him smell better look better feel better which makes him less needy for a moment. The Grooming section is excellent I highly recommend it for anyone's animals their products however are quite expensive in the store and quite frankly he doesn't like much of what they offer there's always a positive you have to find yours but I really suggest get your grooming done here.

Doesn't sell salt water creatures how can you be a Petco if you don't sell what you're supposed to. Just go elsewhere not much in stock. Staff that doesn't know what they should about the creatures and supplies they sell. Plus they pull out dead fish out of their tanks every morning pretty much and have a freezer full of dead fish.

Pretty solid store! The staff seems super busy all the time, which makes me feel like they probably need more employees. But once I get a hold of somebody they're always kind and attentive so it's definitely not the fault of those working there. The store is clean and I've used their dog training services before and had a great outcome.

I have taken my dog into PetCo for the past 2 years for grooming with no problems. But now since the gal that always worked with my dog is no longer there, I had to have a different groomer take over. We took her in early (when they opened) and wanted the package we always got for her (deshedding). They had her for over 5 hours and didn’t even do what we asked…no deshedding. When I went to pick her up, I wasn’t happy at all. I was told that today is her last day they’ll take her because she stresses out too much. Why did they have her for so long if she was stressing out and didn’t even do a good, thorough job! She looks like she did when I took her in, just a little wet when she was picked up. She cried all the way home and has been crying since we made it home. I’m not impressed!! I just wish the other groomer was still there. I recommend not paying before you see your dog because they make you feel obligated to tip. If I would have known what she looked like, I would not have given a tip. Very disappointing!!!

I took my doggo here to see the Alicia the groomer and she was amazing! I've never met someone so knowledgeable and helpful. Our puppy is new to the family and she took the time to explain what we need to do to care for her nails and ears. I will certainly be coming back to see her.

Hello, if I’m being completely honest I love your staff, all very welcoming. There is one lady (on the older side) who is always the least welcoming, doesn’t ask how your day is going or anything. I am always very nice to her but she never reciprocates. Every time I go into the store and see her I know what I’m in store for. Lighten up lady

Came to this store on my way home and there is a line of people waiting to be checked out but do ya thing the checker that was visiting with the group would call another associate to come check out would attempt to do so no she just keeps looking up and visiting. She can’t talk and work at the same time. Ugghhh

Normally we have a very good experience here! Very helpful people work here!! However, this review is based on a recent purchase (and not our usual amazing experience with the store and staff). We spent around $5 for a container of what was supposed to be 36 crickets (vita-bugs). When we picked them off the shelf we could see a couple crickets through the side of the clear container and thought nothing of it, as in our experience most of the crickets hide in the egg carton-like structure in the container. When we got home and opened the container, there were only 2 crickets in it. Luckily, for our frog's sake, we have some worms for her to eat this week until we can get back to the store. The nearest pet store is around an hour away from where we live, so it is not easy to find time to get there. Just disappointing that these were not checked and taken off the shelf or heavily discounted.

Seems like the manager doesn't even care about the animals they have in store... a lot of the employees do, but I've never seen the manager even hold one of their animals or work with them. Why work with animals if you won't handle them?

They were totally ok when we sat down on the floor and tried harnesses on my mini-doxies. It has truly been a challenge to find harnesses to fit them, and they had just what Hope, Faith & Cooper needed.Our cashier took it in stride to scan the harnesses while they had them on. He helped me find the rest of the items I needed, too!GREAT EXPERIENCE!!

Got 2 fish. Their fish tanks were smelly flies everywhere. Tons of fish dead. I got 2 Dinos. Put them with mine. Turned the water foggy. Then killed my aquarium. Don't recommend buying fish or turtles here. Or any animal. We got a lizard 7 years ago from here. Then was told different things to do by different employees. Then he dies. Not great for my kids.

prices higher than local pet stores for a lot of items. they charge for bags… I get it, plastic bags are bad, but when you spend a bunch of $ on fragile stuff and then are up charged to get a bag to carry it to your car it seems a bit much.

Be very cautious when buying ferrets from Petco ESPECIALLY if you have other ferrets. I recently got a beautiful female ferret from Petco (my third). I love her she is great but she came with green slime disease and ear mites. Green slime disease is very rough on older ferrets and cost me $600 in emergency vet bills. Thankfully we noticed it early enough that they didn’t have any long lasting symptoms and my other ferrets recovered okay. I love my new ferret but the two weeks after we got her we’re very scary. Our ferrets were on antibiotics for ten days. The Marshalls policy does not cover anything like this in their “health guarantee”. “ Do not cover colds, influenza, bacterial conditions, viruses, acquired diseases, growths, tumors, cancers or any condition caused by parasites or unknown loss.” She also did not come fully vaccinated which they guarantee and I had to pay for. They paid for the first vaccinations but she should have come fully vaccinated and the ear mites cost me another $60. Again she is beautiful and great but BEWARE! Especially if you have other ferrets quarantine the new one from your older ferrets for at least two weeks and get the new one checked out for a vet and tested for green slime. They could be a carrier without even showing symptoms.

I usually love Petco. I buy dog food here and have a pals reward membership. I buy $80 bags of dog food every month/month and a half or so. Usually, I qualify for my FREE 8th bag of dog food.Just because my sister bought cheap cat food on my account, it brought down my average spending and I was denied a FREE bag today… understandably— but it really ruined the plan I had before traveling. It’s not too big of a deal but I was having a bad day and the woman at the register (I didn’t get her name) wasn’t of much help.Kent, however, an employee that was stocking the sales floor saw me in distress for not being able to afford a bag this month helped me out. He is the ONLY reason I am giving this 5 stars. He told me what brands worked for him and found a cheaper option I could use that would qualify for the FREE bag. He was genuinely helpful, kind, understanding, and even recommended I call the customer service hotline to sort out something about my pals rewards mishap.So, overall I had a bad experience today but with good customer service on Kent’s part, I was able to find a suitable enough solution.

Petco in Moscow, ID has a good atmosphere, very nice people working there. My only gripe is the increase in the canned cat food I buy there. It has increased in price by 15% in what seems like just a few months.
