Normally I procrastinate far too long when it comes to reviewing places. I was just at this establishment not 30 minutes ago and was so impressed I want to review before I forget 😂The employees were friendly and helpful the little interaction I had with them. I had a double scoop waffle cone. Their flavors were SO GOOD. Peppermint and dark chocolate?! Orange and chocolate freckles?? Bourbon and Honey!?! So many times I’ve felt cheated of my money at ice cream places with ice cream that was pure mediocrity. Or I’ve been overwhelmed with dozens and dozens of flavors. Their flavors offer variety but don’t overload you, and they live up to their descriptions with interesting and unique flavors that are delicious 🤤 the waffle cone was great too.From an ice cream standpoint this place is 10/10!

Good coffee and ice cream, plenty of flavors to choose from and they let you sample any you’re interested in. Delicious waffle cone too. Worth a stop for either, friendly service both times I visited.

One of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to. They have an amazing selection of flavors from unique and trendy to old fashioned; so everyone can get something here. A lot of their flavors also have elements from local businesses. The staff is extremely friendly without talking your ear off which is nice. The ice cream itself was super creamy but not too heavy. Definitely go here!

This is a fun place to sit outside on a beautiful summer day when it's still hot outside. The ice cream is super creamy and soft. The waffle cone is home made and by far the best waffle cone I have ever had! The flavor mixes are creative! Be sure to enjoy the roasted coconut flavor. Bring your freinds! Did I mention this place is local? YUM!

Used to buy three pints at a time but now, due to non-posted ice cream policies, they aren't allowed to split a pint into two flavors. But they can split scoops, as many as you want. Like if the policy changes and there's no splitting anything that's fine but make a sign and post it. Not have half the crew keep me from getting the multiple pint discount. Lame.

Panhandle is the only ice cream shop I will ever buy from! I generally dislike ice cream but Panhandle has made me love their flavors. It's not too sweet or too milky--just the right mix. I love how everything in the shop is made locally and it makes it all unique in itself that is always worth the stop. Personally for me, the biggest star is the waffle cone! It's unlike any waffle cone you will ever have! IT'S A MUST! I hope that in the future, they will sell waffle chips :)

I had bourbon honey comb which was interesting but all in all pretty good. Definitely tasted like bourbon so if youre into that l.GF had the cookie butter which was very good. Kind of expensive but it's nice to support a quality local business

Best ice cream in town by far. Some might say it’s a bit pricey but for the quality and flavor it is totally worth it. I’d say it’s the best coffee in town too till the silos opened up their cafe. Still pretty damn good.

The flavor choices are diverse. There's definitely something for everyone.We got peppermint fudge, wild honey and lavender, chocolate chip cookie and toasted coconut and marionberry swirl.I am so impressed with Panhandle's ice cream; thick, rich, smooth, sweet but not unbearably sweet, at an unbeatable price.The fellow who served us was kind, patient and gently friendly with my spawn. We will be back before we leave town to try the bourbon honeycomb and dark chocolate and other flavors.

I'm a returning paying customer but after my service there last time I don't think I will be visiting near quite as often. They change their ice cream policies too often and don't even have a phone number to accurately call their store. Google says they do but you go ahead and try and place an order or something. Dude with glasses is the most disrespectful arrogant guy there. Just saying.

A great selection of unique ice cream flavors. On our last visit, the service was fantastic, with one employee efficiently handling a significant rush of customers while keeping an upbeat attitude. This is a must-have whenever we're visiting the area. Highly recommended.

If you're going to spend $7 on a double-scoop waffle cone, this is the place to do it. Honestly, I am not exaggerating when I say that this is some of the best icecream in the state.Service is friendly and amicable. They've got a good crew on hand. It's always a pleasure to visit.Purchase options are plentiful, and even more plentiful are the flavor options. They include regional specialties, and seasonal flavors as well. My favorite is the peppermint fudge. Flavors are unique, and very well made.They also serve coffee and hot chocolate for those chilly afternoons.If you're passing through, I recommend stopping by here. If you're a local, I recommend frequenting here.

This small shop carries a good weight of the culture of two colleges, WSU and U of I. Their ice cream is soooo good but I will not rate coffee that higher standards. They don't sell coffee at the late hours. Though I heard from one of my friends that their coffee beans are good. Nice seating place inside, you can go any time with you family, friends and can have a good time!!!

Panhandle is great for unorthodox ice cream. The only normal flavor is chocolate. The rest are completely different from anything in a grocery store. They do have a few non dairy options. They also have gluten free ice cream and cones. Their ingredients are simple and whole. You can have a treat and feel good too. The place has a great atmosphere and good service.

The ice cream is delicious here! The 2 ladies working the day that my girls and I came in were really friendly and let us try different samples so we could decide what we wanted. It was a tough choice because all the flavors we sampled were so good!
