One word: magical. Our 1-night stay was a quick get-away for our son’s 16th birthday so he could experience some good ole Idaho fishing. Warm cabins, storybook creek, clean bathrooms and a friendly host- who even left a sweet brithday message for our guy upon our late arrival - ensured that this will be the first of more visits to come.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Montpelier KOA. The staff was exceptional. They went above and beyond at any available opportunity. They gave all the kids a coloring book and crayons which was a nice touch. The location was absolutely beautiful. It was a little outside town and was so peaceful. The creek that ran through the property was beautiful and they had plenty of benches located along the creek to sit down and enjoy the quiet. The playground was great and the kids loved it. The sports court was fun as well. The pool wasn't quite done when we stayed but it looks very nice. The cleanliness of the campground was great. I don't think it could have been any cleaner and the camp store was well stocked. We stayed in a RV site and it was perfect. It was a great size and very nicely laid out. It had a fire ring and a nice large picnic table in each site.I would highly recommend Montpelier KOA to anyone. For us it was a great escape from the craziness of Garden City but still close enough to enjoy Bear Lake.

We stayed in our pop up camper. We had easy access to the very clean restrooms and showers. The whole camp ground is very clean despite them doing construction. They were courteous of noise during construction and though certain areas were down the playground was set up for all ages. They even put up a bouncy castle for the children to enjoy! The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

We booked this place expecting there to be a pool as advertised. The pool and pickle ball court that was advertised was still being built. Yet there were zero warning that those “amenities” would not be available. The staff was friendly and accommodated placing us next to our friends that we camped with and the playground was great for our kids. Bathrooms were clean and the campsites were nice. Our main concern was the safety of an open concrete pool area with no barricades or lights to warn people in the dark. We also noticed an open concrete pillar with rebar sticking straight up near the playground with no barricades or barrier to protect people from stepping into or on. I know that they’re trying to upgrade stuff and that’s super appreciative but they should be taking better safety precautions to keep people on their sites, safe. Their welcome emails should also not tell us to enjoy their pool and pickle ball that do not exist. They charged us the same price as if it were available and that’s pretty frustrating. It’s not a cheap place to stay and there wasn’t a lot to do unfortunately.

Had trouble with 30 amp, as it went out at 8am. So I tried the 110 outlet and it did not work. Oh well! The laundry is great! Only 1 dryer!Location great! We have been playing pickleball for 4 years and their court is awesome. Trouble is, that their end poles are to close and it is very hard to serve. My wife kept hitting the poles.

We stopped by this delightful spot for one night. Very good access and easy to find. Kayla was very hospitable and even gave us a bottle of Cider as a gift as they had just opened for the season after a snow related delay. We could see that there was a lot of work done recently to upgrade the facilities. A new swimming pool is under construction. Isaac and Kayla were seen through the evening on tidying up the landscape. Obviously proud of their property. Nice kids playground, super clean washrooms and showers. We would certainly return here if ever in the area again.

After almost 2 months on the road, of which most was boondocking or staying at government campgrounds, we decided to stay one night at Montpelier Creek KOA so we could plug in, water up, shower, and have a relaxing night before continuing our journey home. Having much experience in taking care of public campgrounds, I was quite impressed with the staff, the facilities, and the setting of this site. I must say that everything was extremely well maintained and clean! Highly recommended.

This is a small park, which is refreshing. It's well kept and appears to have lots of upgrades.Location is ideal if you like to fish, hike, off road. And it's really quiet and dark at night. Seeing the Milky Way is stunning.Super family friendly.Big rig friendly.

The lady at the counter named Lori went above and beyond her work duties. Every time I saw her she was working her her butt off. She helped us tremendously when a really bad rain storm came to us. She deserves a 5 star. The camp site was so clean. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Lori for all your hard work.

This KoA is beautifully located on Montpelier Creek. The facilities were in a bit of an uproar when I was there four days after opening, but everything was clean and in good condition. They were building a swimming pool, wow! I was renting, but the small cabins look really nice and are right in the water. Kayla was a super hostess, always ready to help. I highly recommend this place for an overnight or an extended stay.

We are a 41' coach towing a Jeep and have spent two one-night stays in this KOA......and we would certainly return again. Easy access and exit from/to US-89, well maintained, very quiet and peaceful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our two sites have been level and satellite friendly even though a bit shaded by trees. We highly recommend this KOA.Noteworthy details: See our more detailed narrative above.

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in one of the cabins with my wife and some friends over this past Memorial Day weekend. The campground is really cute and the cabin was amazing! We had a river next to where we were staying and it was such a relaxing experience. The bathrooms were really clean and nice and the staff was very helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely go back again.

Loved this campground! My husband and I went and spent the weekend there with friends and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company! The cabins were so clean and we slept great it was the perfect fit for us but they also have great tent sites! We also appreciated the clean restrooms and showers it’s so nice to have those accommodations while camping. The camp managers were so friendly and helpful anything we needed they were quick and happy to help us! We will definitely be returning because we loved it so much!

It was clean and convenient to get to, but not secluded if your wanting that kind of camping. The only thing that i didn't like was that the tent spot they gave us was literally in the middle of a loop in the road-really weird. The tent, a table and a fire pit in one little spot of grass circled by the road ?? The kids loved the playground, outdoor pool table and the creek that was by. Nice little trail that circled around the creek. Yes, I would stay again.

Had the best time staying in the deluxe cabin with my family over the weekend. The new owners were so kind and very accommodating! Would give 5 stars if the pool was up and running because my kids were really looking forward to swimming after spending the weekend at the softball fields, but we weren’t able to. Other than that we loved our stay!

We stayed in a cabin right by the river which was great. The room was clean, everyone was very nice. The only problem was in the website it listed a pool and a pickleball court. This was one of the reasons we chose this KOA. It had neither. I wish that there had been a comment from the KOA that these were not available. Everything else was great.

Beautiful RV park, however, not great for large rigs. Very nice hosts. They have a lot of trees, some that are dead and should be removed. No signs on where to park or turn when you first enter the park. They are in the process of redoing the pool, so it is closed.

My family and I visit this campground this summer and I thought it was wonderful. The new management is super friendly, the sites and bathrooms are clean, and the area it's in is really beautiful. There is a little streams that runs through right next to the cabins with a cute little bridge that crosses it and a little trail you can walk along next to the stream. It's really peaceful and quiet. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Let's start with the price. We stayed at a Koa in Colorado which had a swimming pool , hot tub , a little type water park area , full hook up with cable tv , concrete pad with fire pit and very level sites located on the Colorado river for $25 less per night than this Koa. With that being said they tell you on their site they have a pool and pickle ball court which when you arrive you find out they are under construction. The site I was on was fairly level but I could not hook up my septic due to location of trees versus my slide outs. Over all I feel they charge to much for what they have to offer.

What a great smaller KOA campground, very well maintained grounds, fantastic creek, and beautiful views. Our motorhome spot was perfect! They have new cabins that sit right on the creek with porches right on the creek. It is our favorite KOA on this 3600 trip from Texas to Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. I'm planning a motorcycle trip with my friends and including the cabins here on our trip up the historic Oregon and California bueatiful scenery!! 5 stars ++Nearby activities: Bear Lake and the history of the area
