Corals4cheap is a salt water specialty store, no freshwater here. They have MANY frag tanks with a wide assortment of SPS, LPS, and softies at varying prices. They even do in store credit for frags and equipment you bring in.The people there are very knowledgeable and will direct you to what you need, even if it wasn’t what you expected. They have chemicals, test kits, substrates, salt mixes, and new and used hardware.They have premixed RODI water with salt or just RODI water. The salt water is super cheap and the RODI water is free if you bring your own container. Overall a wonderful store with a wide selection of fish, corals, and hardware.Go visit if you want to see their massive display tank! It’s absolutely stunning!

The staff and owner here are so helpful and nice, I have to admit I was a bit suspicious. Being brand new to the hobby, I would make an easy mark. But they have gone above and beyond to get me set up with all the right stuff and some affordable coral pieces to really make my tank something special. I'm really impressed and happy with this place as my go to supplier.

I’ve met a lot of helpful people in the hobby but Josh went above and beyond to help me get the right setup. Employees were super knowledgeable & helpful, prices were great, lots of options (new and used hardware/tanks). Got a $50 torch and a set of Radion lights for a great price, couldn’t have had a better experience… 10/10!

I just went to check out this place for the first time and I was more than pleasantly surprised! The owner, Josh, greeted me right away & is very knowledgeable in the hobby. He is more concerned with saving you money and having you set up your tank right the first way and is there to help you every step! His shop is also very pleasing to the eye! The way he has is set up is very modern and beautiful to look at. He has corals and oysters that you can’t get anywhere else! He also had a used tank in his shop in prestige condition with a sump and equipment for 1/3 of the price he could have sold it for! He is awesome and did a great job supplying a need for the boise area! He also took the Time to change the lights above the coral to show me the different colors they display! Fascinating. Definitely recommend. I didn’t have a chance to check out the fish selection bc my kid was being obnoxious which he also went up to my daughter because she wanted to leave & was so sweet and told her to come look at some fish. He had some fish (not a HUGE selection) and also some equipment for tanks along with water conditioner and some food as well.

Great experience with josh!!!! I’ll be honest, I’ve been to a few fish stores in town and I’ve really had to push them to help me which should never happen to a customer wanting to learn more about the business and marine life....we walked in and josh welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. Every question we had, he had answered and didn’t give us false hope on the establishment of our new tank!!!! So once again thank you Josh! We would highly recommend corals 4 cheap!

Corals4Cheap is hands down the best local fish store in the Valley. Their shop is clean and inspiring. They have a great selection of corals and their pricing is amazing. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, patient, and knowledge. The Saltwater Reef hobby is very lucky to have an LFS like Corals4Cheap here in the Treasure Valley. Go check them out!

I came out to Idaho from Ohio on business and found the best place to buy corals! If you are into saltwater aquariums you need to stop in and talk to Josh!!The place is awesome, great selection, awesome customer service, and they have the best prices!!I will order my corals in the future from Josh and have them shipped to Ohio!! josh the owner is amazing im setting up my first saltwater tank and i could not be more happy with him and his staffs help as i ask a lot of newbie questions. this store is also very nice looking with lots of great fish and corals. i have to say the lay out is great and its a very clean well lit place to look around. and i have not even mentioned the prices those are great to. if your looking for a nice store with great knowledge, great prices, and clean this is the place for you thanks so much for your help so far

Josh and his crew have been nothing but superb. They never try to up sale you or let you buy livestock that could hurt your tank. Prices are always competitive if not better then the other stores and to be flat out honest if it wasn't for Josh's kindness my tank would stll be sitting empty!

They have a wide selection of corals, everyone seems friendly that works there, and most everything is in great condition. The coral i bought from them have done very very well. My only complaint is the cost of many things aren't the most clear at times.

Corals 4 cheap is hands down the best place in the valley to get corals and fish! I have a saltwater 225 gallon reef aquarium and I get everything I can from here. I also have them come to the house to service the tank every 2 weeks. They are really great about changing filters, cleaning the skimmer, adjusting flow, lighting, and checking the water chemistry. It's a great piece of mind to me that they see my tank 2x a month so if something does goes wrong they already know me and my tank. All of my corals are thriving and they all came from here. My favorite thing about C4C is that, if you dont see the fish you are looking for at the store just let Josh know and he can order it for you! I love this store, I spend way too much here, but I wont go anywhere else.

Great selection of corals and fish but we bought a powder brown tang from them about a week and a half to two weeks ago and the night we got it we noticed it had one cloudy/blind eye and was running into everything then a few days later turns out it had advanced stage of ick and is now dead. Really upset about this and that we exposed our other fish to him. Last time we were in a few days ago they had a tank with 2 dead fish in it. This will be the last we ever purchase from this place.

When I went in most of the tanks were riddled with aptaisia anemones. I bought a red montipora capricornis frag from a tank that looked clean from aptaisia. I dipped the frag, but I guess I wasn't thorough enough. After about a week I noticed the tissue was dieing on the edges and upon closer inspection I found montipora eating nudibranchs.

They have a really good Coral selection, but I wouldn't recommend buying fish from them. They are almost all sick. Like for real, when you buy a fish from them it feels like you are flipping a coin and hoping that it will land on the side for it to live.

My wife and I have a 16 gallon cube and were looking to get a small colorful fish to add to our collection. We had two red blennys, 2 clowns, and a Bengaii cardinalfish. We were looking for a royal gramma because of the color. I found a fish at Corals 4 Cheap that looked almost identical to a royal gramma but Josh told me it was something a little different (a Royal Dottyback) but that it would be okay to add to my tank. I trusted his knowledge of the fish and did not do my own research after the fact. 10 days later I have a dead blenny and had to take the fish back to a different store because it was starting to pick on my other blenny. After doing my own research when I found a dead blenny, it says the Royal Dottyback is inch for inch one of the most aggressive fish species and will kill fish up to 3 times it’s size. Had I not taken it out when I did, my whole tank could’ve been dead. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I am very new at saltwater tanks and I want to go somewhere where I can trust the experts to tell me what I need and not just try to get the sale. Very unhappy customer.
