We buy a lot of food at the co-op. They have great meat, cheese, dairy, and local products. We enjoy it! We’re there at least 3 times per week. One area of the store that we’ve been extremely disappointed with over the last several months is their produce. They can do way better. Every time we buy onions, avocado’s or anything where the quality is concealed until you cut it open, we find mold or decay. Yes we know how to look for good produce. We were at the co-op today shopping for various items, including red bell peppers and onions. What we found out for purchase was astonishing. We are willing to pay top dollar for food where the quality is indicative of the price. For $5.99/lb I wouldn’t expect to see moldy peppers that are wilted or red onions with obvious decay and mold. It’s really disappointing that their quality control processes allow this to be acceptable. We purchased two bundles of asparagus a week ago, got it home and the next day went to cook it and it stunk so bad we through it out. Nothing seems to be fresh.

It's one of my favorite places to find something special... something more grown local/produced here in the Treasure Valley. The produce section is vibrant, and the staff is so helpful. And, they carry Farmers Microgreens, which I LOVE! The bakery is full of yummy treats!

I've been a Co-Op member for nearly 20 years now. When the Village location opened I was thrilled to have an option closer to home. Love the selection and atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The beer aisle is my favorite part of the store and I love that it keeps growing and growing. Cheers!

What a beautiful grocery store! I love the organization and cleanliness with the layout very easy to shop or just browse. Unique signs describing the products and friendly employees. But it is pretty expensive in here. Was looking for a quick bit to eat and had to pass but overall great experience.

This is one of the best grocers in the Boise area, my wife and I go here as much as we can in order to buy locally; especially during the winter months. We discovered this store while looking for locally grown honey to help with allergies; which is found here at this Co-Op. They also have one of the largest, most geographically thorough wine selection I have ever seen; #FlawlessVictory.

Stopped there on my road trip and this is hands down one of my all time favorite grocery stores! I'm glad to see that there are stores that carry an amazing selection of healthy options! Excellent service and all the employees I met were super friendly and helpful! I ended up spending a good amount of money and it was worth every cent! I successfully indulged in a food-coma and had an amazing burrito, salad and sandwich and also got other items that are hard to find at regular grocery stores! I wish I had a store like that close to where I live...

Very beautiful store with a great selection of items you need for a healthy conscious lifestyle. We were visiting and impressed with the amount of natural, local, organic, Keto, dietary supplements, and so much more!We went closer to close so we didn’t get the all the prepared foods (salads, in house made dinners etc.) we were expecting. We did get a MASSIVE 32 oz MCT Oil at a great price (around $20) and had a great conversation with the cashier!

I love the village co-op except today. Bought my 1st pre-made pizza. Followed directions to remove from cardboard before cooking. However it was so stuck we couldn't. So baked it 10 mins. Hoping it would release, but it wouldn't. We basically slaughtered it trying to get it onto a metal cookie sheet. It is a mess. It's not baking very well.So much for a stressless dinner 😬😖 It should be on a waxed cardboard not boxed cardboard. Wish i could send pics of the mess, really disappointed. Feel like I'm should get a refund.

I absolutely love how the staff is so welcoming when you walk through the front door. They are also extremely attentive and helpful. I buy a lot of plant-based items here, as well as, produce and kombucha. Some of the stuff maybe priced high (as several con reviews suggest); however, they do offer incredible deals on specific items that you can’t find other places. I always feel like I hit the jackpot when purchasing kombucha here and they offer rare items you can’t find at other places. It’s definitely an amazing place. I will be back soon.

Love shopping here and learn about the latest trends in food and health. Don’t love the prices here, even though I get a 10% discount every month as a member. That said, it feels good knowing that I am supporting local producers!

Boise Co-op Deli catered our garden club's district meeting - platters of breakfast breads, boxed sandwiches, individual salads, and wrapped chocolate chip cookies. It was a great experience and an easy meal for us to offer our guests.

SHAME SHAMEI'm sorry to do this. I've been a member for some time now, appreciate and respect the fact that we have or HAD a store that supports natural, organic, healthy life style.Recently shopped and to my BIGGEST, shocked surprise, i saw Advil and Tylenol on the shelve and check stand. This is a DRUG that can be purchased at any corner gas station, grocery store, airport, etc. To see it on the shelves at Boise CoOp, is a complete contradiction of what this store stands, believes, healthly and natural living. What will be next, Maybelline beauty products, Pepsi, Doritos, how about you put Bud Light in the cooler too?

Most people here talk about the organic food or vegan options. The real hidden gem is the beer selection in the back. Prices are very good too. I go here often just for the beer. The selection can be a little intimidating, but on almost all beer items, you can break down the 4-packs and 6-packs and create your own selection. They have spare can holders and card board 6-pack bottle holders free to use.The deli here is pretty awesome too.

We liked the organic items that are more difficult to find at our other stores. I became a member for the once a month 20% off locally produced items including coffee roasted here in Boise, and our once a month 10% off other items.

The co-op is great! Love coming here for a sandwich or burrito, but always expect to wait 25-30 mins before you get it.

Who would’ve thought that a hipster place known in the community for offering super healthy, organic & local products would be the best place to buy ALCOHOL (specifically beer)? For the handful of years I’ve been an Idahoan, this has been (and will be) the #1 “beer run” location (Meridian location over the downtown Boise one).Beer selection here is FANTASTIC. The “over the counter”, popular OG beers are still here (from the local breweries and from around the country), but the main attraction are all the specialty beers that you won’t find in Walmart, Winco, Albertsons, Fred Meyer. The enormous Albertsons “World Market” that’s close by might have a bigger selection (in terms of floor space in the store), but you won’t find a lot of the beers at this Co-Op over there. The #1 perk of buying beer here (and the primary factor of the 5 star review), is that you can buy beer BY THE CAN. No need to waste money on the full 6 pack when you don’t know if you’re going to even like the beer or not. The pricing of beer, by the can, is extremely competitive, and is only $1-3 more than buying the full 6 pack (or 4 pints). This has encouraged me to try so many new beers that I’d never try before. This “feature” is killer, and easily differentiates this place from the rest of the stores. As for the food, I’m sure it’s extremely healthy, ethically raised, etc, but the price is just too high for me (and I’m sure for a lot of others). If money isn’t an issue, I’d love to be able to buy all my produce here, but that’s not reality (at least for me). Some of my favorite items here are the chili at the soup bar, the “Acme” branded rosemary bread (UNREAL), Wildflower bakery scones, and the amazing selection of cheeses (smoked gouda baby). Favorite non-food item (and a great gift) is the Idaho shaped bamboo cutting board that’s sold here (I don’t actually use for cutting stuff, just decoration). This Meridian location is superior to the Boise location. This seems newer, bigger, more interior lighting, layout isn’t crammed, and the EASY parking (parking at the Boise location just isn’t worth the hassle). Only perk at the Boise location is the better / bigger olive bar.Friendly people working at this location. I’m not a member, and don’t plan on spending money to be one, so as long as they don’t require you to be a member, I’ll be coming back.If you’re looking for LOCAL IPAs (hazy, double, etc), “Mother Earth Brewing” from Nampa cannot be beat. I tried most of the other local, Idaho breweries, and IMO they don’t even come close. My all time favorite IPA has to go to “Revision Brewing”. 4 Pints for around $16.50 (used to be $12.50!) is pricey, but they hit it out of the park in terms of high octane alcohol %, low IBUs, and that distinct “dank” smell and flavor I crave.P.S. Shout out to this place for sending out free $10 off for $25+ order vouchers years ago when I lived in an apartment nearby. This was the only reason I started coming here (since you could even use that on beer lol)

My baby can't tolerate dairy through breastmilk so I've had to go dairy free. Dairy is probably my favorite food group so I don't know what I'd do without Boise Co-op! I'm not missing out on a single thing with all the selection they've got!

Our favorite store. Yummy organic non gmo foods, fresh squeezed juices, hot food bar, variety of fruits and vegetables as well as meats and fish, cheese. I hope though you can have fresh strawberries from Prolife Richardson Farm. They have yummy organic strawberries. I haven’t seen or tried any better strawberries then what they have and hope this Co Op can stock up on them too for us not to shop all at once spot. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Not only is it expensive they are a joke. Their membership makes you think your doing something for yourself by shopping their andnscanning your card each time because they give a dividend at the end of the year...but guess what I spent thousands of dollars there over the year ..yes up until the deadline.. and they only gave me a 9 dollar dividend. They have completelt lost me as a customer.

They have my favorite yogurt here, the organic white mountain. They sell it for $11 (last time I checked). If I go to any other place that sells it, it is around $5. Their organic asparagus can be $8 a pound or more, and at Whole Foods in Boise, I can get a bunch of organic asparagus for around $4. I make a lot of my food from scratch and try to get the best quality while being frugal. Countless times I’ve realized that the prices at this grocery store are way higher than other places. Boise co-op what is with the huge mark ups? What about being fair and reasonable? I rarely shop here now because I know I can get better deals almost anywhere else.

I have mostly good things to say about co-op. We come here religiously because they have a great selection of healthy items, the food they serve is good, and the staff is very friendly. However, two points: One, it is very expensive. Two, the amount of expired or close to expiring items is becoming an issue. I’m surprised there aren’t other reviews mentioning this. Certain dairy products like raw milk is often right about to expire, or go bad within days of purchasing (I know this is in part an issue with the milk companies, but it has been several different brands and the co-op could be better about not putting out product that is set to expire in a few days, because they do it a lot). I have since noticed other product I’ve purchased from here have expired like bags of dried chilies (which would have to make it SUPER old) and even ice cream two months after purchasing. I feel like they need to be more diligent about this, especially for how costly the products are.

Great place to stock up on healthy items for your next camping trip. Nice to have a larger parking lot and a little more space. Great food options just like the Boise store.

You can always count on Co-op for good quality organic produce, among other things. (I can hardly wait for persimmon season every year!) They're experts at packing a whole lot of goodness into a relatively small space. You never know what treasures you'll find hiding in this little gem!

Always clean and always stocked with high quality foods and products. The great part is the prices are not too wild all the time. They do carry higher end products and can reflect high pricing.Great food options to get takeaway and or eat onsite.Their Beer, Wine and cheese selections are worth going for. They are my primary focus when visiting. Selections are pretty extensive for the size of the store. Also the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
