Best, most fun bar in town! Younger crowd, and Saturday karaoke is crazy awesome! Basic bar food....I recommend the fried zucchini. Great staff! The door girl was supremely welcoming and fun.Be sure to get a photo with the ladies bathroom doors!

Great bar! It was our first time visiting Lava Hot Springs and the bartender that night gave us some inside tips on what to do and see. They have a full menu of food and drinks. But of course we just ordered ourselves 2 Blue Moon Beers.

I'm actually giving this place 6 stars!!! We spent a week in Lava Hot Springs and we just had the best time. The locals could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating.The bartenders were great, drink prices were reasonable and the music was good. They have a huge outdoor area open in season.Love love love this place!!!

We stopped here for a few drinks while we are in town. Steven, the bartender, was very personable and fun. The locals we met were all really cool and we had a really great time. This place has darts, pool and some video type games. The bathrooms were super clean, too. It also meant a lot to us that they had a tribute table set up to honor the 13 recently lost Marines. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

The moon hosted our rehearsal dinner when we got married in Lava in September. Gale was incredible to work with and the staff and food was great. Gale even surprised us with live music for the event. Would highly recommend the Red Room at the Blue Moon for private events.

Classic small town bar complete with live music, fried food, and a great selection of spirits. If you are looking for fast service, you won't find it here. This is a place where you need to slow down and be in the moment. Had a blast chatting with the locals and listening to the band.

Bar tender had a horrible attitude, took 10 minutes for us to even be noticed while standing at the bar. I’ve included a picture of a board at their establishment and I asked for the “Idaho Lemonade” and the bar tender said “I literally don’t have any idea what that is right now.”Ummm it’s literally on a board on YOUR wall. Would not recommend. Go to wagon wheel .

We were in Lava Hot Springs for a Valentine getaway, and checked out places to eat online, and we both liked the menu selections, especially the chicken gizzard appetizer, which, unfortunately they were out of. Anyway, it may not be much to look at on the outside, but inside was an older bar atmosphere complete with pool table and dart boards; reminded us of places we like to go to, places that cater to locals, but welcome out-of-towners, and that was exactly the experience we had. Friendly staff as well as the few locals that were there, but the best part were the tasty burgers we ate, good enough that we told our waitress to thank the chef for us… they were delicious! Their menu was probably limited for the winter, as there weren’t as many options to choose from as on their online menu. They also have a separate large dining room (we sat in the bar area) which I’m sure is packed during televised sporting events and in the summer tourist season. Highly recommend if you like good food, an older bar atmosphere, and friendly company.

This place is so rad. You know when you find a bar and it just feels like a place you've been before, that you know you could have a fantastic evening there if that one band from that one time would play here, but you also know that the beauty of a bar like this is the random and new exciting experiences you could have there that you don't even know about yet but are about to discover, one person at a time? That's this bar. Blue Moon was a random drop in for us on a super cold night in Lava and oh man was it the place we were looking for. I wish we hadn't eaten before finding it! Fantastic service from great, nice, well-kempt and mustachio'd cordial bartender. Delightful and succulent drinks. Clean, inspiring, fantastic. Wonderful! Can't wait to go again.

Absolutely hands down best place in town to visit. Great people, atmosphere completely welcoming and comfortable. Food😋 delish, had loaded hash for breakfast burger and chicken sandwich for lunch! Leo is fantastic, awesome attitude great skills,makes all the tasty beverages you could think of, a must stop! Will be back see you soon❤️

The man with the impressive mustache took our order and also cooked it himself on the grill! Are all right being pretty busy, the wait wasn't too bad. Mistakes were amazing! These aren't normally on the menu, but oh my gosh this guy knows how to work a grill!We don't live around here, but if I ever stop by again, even though I'm not really a bar person, I'll totally stop here to eat!

I took my girlfriend to get a bite to eat and also to have a few drinks. I have never had such terrible food in all of my life. The only thing that I could compare to the food is how awful their drinks were. We ordered Moscow Mules which is normally a favorite drink for the both of us. We could not even taste anything except for the straight vodka in them. After only half a drink each we were both more intoxicated than we would have been after being able to enjoy a few full glasses of the said drink that we originally had ordered. We both ordered them to be mixed with a top shelf vodka and as I watched the bartender took the more expensive vodka from the shelf only to mix our drinks with the cheapest vodka they had in the bar. Very disappointed! We will not be returning to this place ever again. I would have rated the blue moon with negative or no stars but this wasn't an option...

First time here, its a nice aged bar with good drinks. Food was great, better than I thought! Had the chicken wings, grilled cheese and bacon cheese burger! It was very warm in there which got uncomfortable but they have self serve water. Will be back!

I come up from Pocatello all of the time to eat in lava. I've been fond of the blue moon plenty of times in the past and my family that lives in lava is very loyal to them as well. Today will make me not ever go back. When we first got there it took awhile for anyone to take our order. When he did finally take it we ordered drinks and asked for a menu. The guy very rudely stated that he would give them to us but wouldn't be taking our order for at least 15 minutes. 10 minutes later he brought our drinks. I love bloody mary's and even if I don'"love" the taste of it, I will still drink it. The one I got today tasted like rotten tomatoes. I got 2 sips into it to give it a chance and it was still awful (which he still charged us $14 per drink for and they weren't even worth $2). We stopped drinking them and waited for the bartender to come back. Meanwhile a table of 6 left and on the way out told us that they've been waiting for 2 1/2 hours for food and another guy finally got his food and didn't even want it after waiting that long due to the quality of it. We won't be back and I'll be letting my local family and friends know not to come back either. Awful service, awful drinks and apparently awful food.

Food was awful. Like freezer food from Costco or something. We had the fish and chips and the finger steaks. Service wasn’t very good either. Our waitress was new but every single time she stopped at our table she asked if we had already opened a tab. She served us drinks twice at least and still kept asking. It was bizarre. Live music was OK. This place could be really cool if they got some decent grub and better service. The waitress did not know what a white claw was when I asked for one. She let us know that she doesn’t drink alcohol so sh couldn’t recommend any drinks to us 🤣🤪 OK maybe don’t work at a bar then…

Fun place with good food. The outdoor seating area is really nice. Why the lower rating? The waitress. She said she was new, but worked elsewhere for a few years, so should have known how to keep orders straight. Our bill was so messed up when have no idea who paid for what.

Great local spot. Stopped in for some drinks and food. The prices on whiskey were great and the bartender was appropriately attentive. They had a happy hour special for 2 huge tacos & a margarita combo for like $5! Played some pool. Listened to country music and there was karaoke. Definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and the drinks are strong! The waitresses were amazing. They were quick to get our orders and were very attentive. You didn’t have to fight to get a drink. Someone was always available to take your order. They do karaoke and had a live band the night we went. The people were lively and fun! It’s located right in the center of town so no matter where your staying it’s with in walking distance. I will definitely be going back.

It's like the Wesley's tent in there! It looks all small and unassuming, but is huge! Pretty nice too, fast attentive bar tenders and servers. The food is good, we had the sampler platter, they do it well, good seasoning.They had a live band called "The Whiskey Hangovers" and they were engaging, energetic entertainers. The seating was good for parties, and they were very clean. Lots of choices of where to be, and types of music to listen to.
