A gem of a campsite. This is why you'll love it here:Huge sites that are roomy enough for a large rig plus a tent plus two vehicles.Privacy. The sites are quite far apart and set up well.Fantastic off leash pet area called Doggie Island. Devo gave it 5 bones out of 5.Clean bathrooms, good showers.Water and electric hookups, but no sewer. Dump station on site that is free.Boat launchGreat picnic areas and beach.Small but not crowded. We loved it and would come back.

This is an average campground, set up for RV use, but do allow tents. However, the spaces are all gravel so not the best for tent use. The restrooms are not maintained on a daily basis. In addition, in some cruel joke, the hot water button for the showers is on a timer and the timer control is located out of the shower area. So, be prepared to be doused with frigid, cold water after about a minute during your shower. The site hosts are off duty more than on and if you try to check in while they're off duty, they'll tell you they are not working and to come back later. (Our neighboring campers tried to check in before 5pm and were told by the site host that they couldn't do so until after 5pm when the host started their shift). The lake view and walking paths add to the overall rating of this campground.

Beautiful, well kept Park with many amenities and gorgeous views. Nice ADA bathrooms and showers. Kids ' playground, basketball & sport court with view of the wide, placid River. Great lawns, doggie Island with off leash area. What's not to like? Amazing. Wonderful.

Riley Creek is managed by the army corps of engineers and a group of local volunteers who maintain an absolutely gorgeous Park. We were there camping on a huge site for 30 bucks a night with her fifth wheel and we parked our boat in the lagoon so we can go on and off the lake. Staff is very friendly and responsive and knowledgeable. They have a great dog run park near the lake where you can take your dogs off leash and let them go in the water or just run around. It's an absolutely gorgeous place. One small thing, there is a sawmill nearby and sometimes you can hear a train going in and out or a background noise of sawmill equipment. This noise is not annoying and I cannot hear it at night while inside my rig.

Great spot on the water , not too busy when campground is full. Only complain is the restrooms. They don’t have sewer at sites so restrooms are well used and not clean . Cob webs in the corners of the stalls . Wet and dirty floors and the dishes sinks are neat the toilets so a busy place.Playground: Lots of playgrounds and spots for kids. Excellent!!Restrooms: GrossDog-friendliness: Lots of pups in leash. Not allowed in beach.Picnic area: Tables everywhere for picnic, even have fire pits but there was a ban while we were here. Very nice.

My husband and I found this place by accident looking for another place, but we're certainly glad we did as it's absolutely beautiful! 😍Playground: There's a really nice playground! 😃Restrooms: Public bathrooms which were pretty clean! 🙂Dog-friendliness: There is a really nice pet area along with plenty of pet waste stations to clean up after your dog. 😃Picnic area: There are several really nice areas to set up a picnic area for your family along with a Boat Basin for parking your boat if you're on the River and want to come to land for a bit! 😃

The best laid out Corp of Engineers Rec area we've ever been to.Lots of paved paths around and thru the wooded areas.Plenty of shade throughout with well placed benches, tables and fire rings.Nice swim Beach, separate little Island area for Dogs to run and a Boat Basin/Inlet area to tie off your boat.Overall a great Campground. Newly renovated. VERY clean, well kept and nice large/ level campsites. We absolutely loved this campground....Except...the "Camp Attendants" take their job WAY too seriously driving around on their Golf carts looking for anyone who breaks any of their MANY rules.Every fire ring throughout the park is 2/3 full of gravel even covering the vent holes on the sides. They stopped at numerous sites telling Campers that the fire itself (the flames) could not go above the rim of the fire ring.Jim...in the park office tossed my cash back at me across the counter stating he "wasn't a Bank" (repeating this 3 times)...so be sure to have exact change for your Campsite and fire wood.

I would like to preface by saying this: I am an experienced RVer. My wife and I and our two kids have stayed in campgrounds across America and each of them have plusses as well as minuses, this campground was no different. First and foremost the price was very reasonable. Secondly, this campground is very kid friendly! Some are and some, well, some aren't. Riley Creek is definitely geared towards families and kids. The playground is top notch and our kids (7 and 10) did not get tired of it. Also, the campground is set up in two different loops and both are really nice, the kids were able to bike around all day and we felt comfortable with them doing that. The staff are also top notch, they are very friendly and also helpful! There is no sewer hookups so RVers must be conscious of that and stretch your tanks. The sites are very spacious and wooded. There is a sense of privacy and very few sightlines between site spaces. There is plenty of room for awnings as well as a second canopy or screen room! However, the sites are NOT level. Our front tires were almost four inches off the ground. Luckily we had enough blocks. Bring alot of leveling blocks. Overall, very pleasant week of camping and relaxing. Not level does not mean not good. This was a great campground. We will return for sure.

Been coming here with my family since 1986. So many amazing memories and the park is always so pristine. My kids love it as I did a young boy.

Awful Camp Hosts! They are rude and arrogant. Hopefully they pick out better people for the 2018 Season. That being said, the recreation area itself is great! So much to do there and see. We really do love the place. Beach area, Picnic tables, Hiking trails, fishing spots.Make a reservation if you are camping, or the camp hosts will make you think you are stupid for even asking about availability. Otherwise, enjoy!

Beautifully camping sites easy water access. The only thing wrong is there are confusing rules on walk up sites. They say walk up yet they have signs on them say attendant must assign sites.

We love it...but are worried that they are going to an 'all volunteer park host' next year. I'm not sold on the reservation web site but I'm old school. I rated it a four star because if I gave it a five star, then everyone would visit and I'll never be able to get a reservation. My mother said I wasn't her brightest child, but I was the best looking.Playground: It seemed very nice but most hang out on the beach. A lot of open, well maintained lawn area and a dog park.Restrooms: Cleaned every two hours... Awesome job. The shower in the 'family' restroom needs some love.Dog-friendliness: There are always a lot of dogs. They seem to all have good campground manners.Picnic area: Open and clean, great beach and boat launches.

After a long day of driving I arrived at Riley Creek cg. I found my reserved site and set up my tent. I couldn't help notice how much gravel there is for each site. I set my tent on the soil because gravel would puncture the bottom of the tent. Mind you, I have an ultra-lite backpacking tent. It's tiny. Once I got all settled and sat down to enjoy a beer, the camp host came along to tell me that no camping gear of any kind cannot be on soil! Everything has to be on gravel. I told him if I have to pitch my tent on gravel I was leaving. He said it is the rule of this CG and if I chose to leave I would not get a refund. I was so f'ing angry because this rule is not stated on the reservations website. So as I was packing up the car to leave, the host showed up with a large tarp for me to place my tent on, so I could camp on the gravel. Very nice of him. He felt bad for me and agreed that the rule is non-sensicle. He explained that the rule was created by a biologist that is studying the surrounding ecosystem. While I support such a notion, it needs to be posted so potential visitors can make an informed decision before arriving!!!!. You can see in the photo below how much gravel there is in my site alone. At least 1800 sq.ft. The dichotomy of the rule in relation to the development of the campground is ridiculous. This CG is NOT tent friendly. While the host came thru and saved the day, I will never return to this CG.

Riley Creek is our favorite campground. It's very clean, well-maintained, and the numerous camp hosts are friendly & helpful. I appreciated the efficient way we were checked in at the campsite this year. We used to have a small window of time to go to the office with a very slow computer operator.Rumor this week was that they're considering having it run by volunteers next year. I hope that's not true. It'll never be run as efficiently. If it's a matter of income, the rates could be raised some & still be fair/comparable to other campgrounds.

We are full time RVers. We have been to a lot of parks. This is one of the top 3 parks we have ever stayed at. Tons of space between each site. The bathrooms have showers and are clean. Getting electric and water for 30.00 per night is awesome. The day use area is large and includes a boat dock. The campground can be tight getting into some of the sites for larger rigs but almost every site in this place can fit my 40' 5th wheel.

Great place to go beach is nice. Has good play ground, basketball court, volleyball court as well. Has good bathrooms that also have showers (pay with quarters) get your camping spot way in advance it fills up fast for the summer. The only downside about the campgrounds is the camping spots are filled with rocks...even for the tents and you cant place your tent on the dirt you have to stay on the gravel so prep for that. Has various trails. And also a nice section for dogs (only spot they are allowed) the dog spot has clean up bags and trash as well as benches to sit and close to the water shady as well! It really is a great family recreation place!
