I will echo my comments I made on the resort as a whole, but specifically about the lodge and accommodations. Rooms were pretty good and each building had its own outdoor spa/hot tubs. Parking good, service was excellent, all staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They seemed short staffed (like nearly everywhere these days) but made up for it anyway. Will absolutely go to this place again.

We loved our stay in buliding A. Our group was 7 people so we had to get two rooms connected to each other. They are like condos. Very cozy! One room was bigger than the other. The bigger room had a standard fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer & dryer. The cubards are stocked with cooking stuff, pots, pans, bowls, cups, and silverware. Had a small living room with a fireplace and a 6 seater dining table. The bathtub is big! It was a bummer I ran out of hot water before I could fill it all the way up. It is kind of surprising that they dont have extra locks on the doors like they do in other hotels for added safety. We stayed in the winter in January for the waterpark and it wasn't too busy. The parking is always terrible. There isn't much parking in front, so you have to park in the back or across the street. Overall, we had fun and we would stay again!

We booked a condo to treat ourselves. The room was large... but spending the extra money is not worth it if they put you in building D. The sidewalks were treacherous around building D, they were fine everywhere else. That and we were put right next to the freeway. The semi truck jake breaks were super annoying. If you do stay here, don't let them put you in building D.

I am so grateful I was referred here after our car tire fell off on the freeway. My husband was behind me with our dogs and my car had 5 kids. We were on our way to Montana and we could either stay until the car was fixed or go back to Spokane and come back. I didn’t think it would be possible to find something that would fit all of us and be pet friendly AND didn’t cost a fortune. After a few hours of being stranded on the road this felt so luxurious. They even had a goody bag for our dogs. We have an incredibly spacious 2 bed suite and now have a great space to stay until our car is done. Thanks so much for taking care of my family!

The rooms were very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The roof top hot tub was great. The water park was a ton of fun with the family. We brought our own food so I can't say anything to the dining. We would definitely come back again.

The hotel itself is beautiful! The rooms were nice and big, and they were completely clean and classy. They have tons of activities you can do, but the room is so nice I didn't want to leave! The staff here were incredible! They helped us after another hotel overbooked. They were understanding, kind, and very helpful about finding us a place to stay. This is one of the best places I've ever stayed at!

Fantastic surprise find! We were returning home from a vacation and finally needed to stop for the night. We took the next exit off I-90 and pulled into morning star lodge. Beautiful room! Took a nice evening walk around the grounds but arrived too late to enjoy the waterpark. Plan on returning in the future. Very comfortable bed and reasonable rate.

Quality place to spend the New Year holidays. My 8 year old nephew loves the water park while the adults love the easy access to the skiing. We went tubing on New Year's Eve and had a lot of fun even though it was super windy. we had a 2bedroom with loft unit on top floor of the C building and the place was super quiet and well taken care of. You are right in downtown Kellogg with easy access to grocery store and Walmart a couple exits away on the highway.oberall, the place seemed very family friendly with amazing views.

The staff at Morning star lodge was great, they were very helpful and informative! The rooms were clean and environment was cozy. They didn’t have a stove in the room we stayed in which was a bummer but there was a wine bottle opener and toaster so that’s good. No complimentary breakfast so bring your own bread& butter.

I was disappointed as three of us arrived late at night (11:30 p.m.) and were planning to leave early the next morning for a long drive home to Minnesota. We were in building C and were told their was parking by the building. However, all the parking spots were taken, and we had to park three buildings down. It was very cold (32 degrees), and we were very tired but had to walk a ways trying to haul our luggage. When we got to the room, there was a king bed and a queen pull -out couch. There were only three pillows on the king bed, and there were no pillows or blankets for the queen pull-out. For the price we paid, the room could have had a few more pillows and a sheet and blanket for the pull-out. There was no "front desk" to call on the phone, and as I was so tired and didn't want to walk outside all the way to the lobby (three buildings the other way), I just slept with my clothes on and used a flat decorative pillow for my head. In the morning, there was no continental breakfast...nothing! We were told the restaurant opened at 7:30 a.m., but that was the time we were planning to leave. Coffee was in the room, but there were no paper cups for us to take when we left, and no creamer or sugar to add to the coffee. We literally drank a few swallows and had to leave the coffee behind. The room was very pretty, but all-in-all, we were very disappointed and wouldn't plan to stay there again. The $170 was definitely too much money for a lot of disappointment. Should have checked all this out before booking with them, but for the price, I assumed we would at least get some coffee and donuts in the morning to get us out the door.

It's a great little place for the family. My son loved the Waterpark so much! Our whole family enjoyed the small town feel and scenery! Food options in the immediate area leave a bit to be desired though...

Went to Booking.com to get my room. Was very happy with the price, called the resort the next day after booking, and specifically asked for a room with a view of the fireworks, they assured me it would be taken care of. They seemed very accommodating at that time, but when I arrived I was put into building D at the very back of the resort in room 493. Very nice room, great amenities, HORRIBLE wifi coverage in that room, and of course no cell service. When I asked the front desk about the fireworks, was told I would be able to see. Them over the waterpark, which turned out to be a horrible farce, you could see the light but no fireworks. This was my ENTIRE reason for coming down this weekend, and it was ruined.

Overall a very nice resort however the beds were terrible and our backs were sore for days afterwards. The room itself was clean and spacious so we were very happy with our stay in general.

Paid premium rates in this charming town for a tiny room where nothing worked - the tv, gondola, phone, etc (in January), and you can literally hear every word your neighbors. The customer service from the staff was terrible as well, unfortunately. They were completely un-empathic, and gave no forewarning of the situation. Hate to say it, but save your money and stay elsewhere.

We went for our anniversary. Although we didn't get a chance to go for a gondola ride (stormy) we did love the water park and the fact we could just spend quiet time in our room enjoying the view of the mountains. It was a short drive to Wallace for dinner.

The condos are fantastic. Full kitchen with range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. King size beds are extremely comfortable with warm, heavy bedding. Very large bathroom with great lighting, two sinks, and an oversized bathtub. Fireplace and patio. Washer and dryer. Playground, picnic areas, fire pit, and indoor waterpark. This place is perfect for families.

Beautiful place. Hotel room floor was not vacuumed when we arrived. Tons of food pieces all over carpet. Had to call housekeeping which offered to drop off a vacuum.

Rooms were very clean and the water park and hot tub had many towels. All couches were pullout so extra people could sleep. Toilet paper was soft and fluffy

Great rooms, so much to do with the kids, pricey but sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet. We come every winter to celebrate family birthdays. Their customer service is top notch.

Great room with queen bed, sofa sleeper and kitchenette with balcony. Nice large bathroom. If you pay for the room through the Morning Star Lodge the entrance to the water park is free for everyone in the room. Walking distance to great pizza inside the resort. Ice cream shop also located at resort.

Kellogg doesn't have a lot of hotel accommodations so this is a generous three stars. That said, it is busy, nice pool and offers great access to Mtn. biking, hiking and Trails of CDA
