Overly accommodating, friendly, and best of all ski passes!Generally not a big fan of car dealers...But Dave Smith is the place to go if you need a new car.Evan helped us find two hard to get 2023 model cars when no one else could. (One in march and one august) Not only did he help us find these cars, but the service was great, communication on point and lobby coffee not too bad. No awkward negotiations with the "sales manager" runaround's etc. Just to the point, in and out within an hour or so.Everyone was friendly, we picked up one of the cars in person and had the other one shipped, both times everything went smooth.If your on the fence about using Dave Smith or some other dealer I would highly recommend you go with Dave Smith!

1st new vehicle in 35 years. Purchased a 2024 Chev 3500 pickup. Exceptional customer service as we had to have the truck built at the factory to get what we wanted. Our salesman Josh Cooper was patient and helpful throughout the long process as there was a strike at the plant. Just got the truck home and am getting to know her.

My experience started years ago with a purchase. Recently I was online and opened a chat with Gloria about a vehicle I was interested in; within a very short time she called me. She had the type of voice that made me feel comfortable immediately. She was very efficient with her knowledge of said vehicle and I stayed with her through the process. Joe handled my application and credit status in such a friendly matter. He was very nice and absolutely wanted to help me and he did. Kevin in financing is amazing as well. Drove up to Kellogg Idaho from Washington to look at new trucks because of their large inventory and excellent reputation. Caleb spent a long time with us showing various trims, performing test drives, answering questions, and providing guidance helping us decide what we really wanted. He is knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and very pleasant. We truly appreciate Caleb and highly recommend him. Noah spent time with us explaining different options, their cost, and then set up installation for the additions and options we decided on. I heard, through people at work, that you were very professional and fair in your pricing. I contacted Dominic on a trip to Montana, we ordered a truck together (the factory takes a ridiculous amount of time). When it came in, I flew up to Spokane, you guys picked me up we did the paperwork and the rest is history. I wasn’t happy to hear about the lowering of Warranty protections from the factory, but I’m happy you told me about it. I also would’ve preferred an actual manual as I am from a generation that likes to read things and book form.

Had them install a transmission, They stripped out a bell housing bolt and left it out, forgot to install the gasket between the transmission and transfer case. On top of that my cross member bolts were finger tight... and the customer service lady was extremely rude. I'll never go back.

Thank you Jerrod Taylor! Best day ever! This is why Dave Smith has the best reputation in the country. After weeks of looking at junk used trucks at other dealerships I finally found exactly what I needed. But during the test drive I noticed a few mechanical issues. My salesman Jerrod Taylor went above and beyond to get the truck through service and safety inspections. It ain’t easy finding a good used vehicle. Matter a fact sometimes it’s terrifying. Jerrod stuck with me through the entire process. We all know not every car salesman are trustworthy. Jerrod was! I even found out later that some of the things I doubted about their detailing and the signing process was true. So my hats off to their detailers and financial staff and technicians too. Top notch dealership! The rig I got is 6 years old and it looks brand new inside and out. And after all of my own reluctant second thoughts I can honestly say it was my best experience at a dealership I’ve ever had. Thanks again Dave Smith Motors!

I sold cars and was a sales manager for an auto dealership for 10 years and I worked with Isaak for about a month and I’m very impressed with him. I was looking for a specific truck, model, color and package with the correct interior color for my client. He looked for a week and located it, it was actually in route to his dealership about three weeks later. Once it touched down in Spokane, I knew every step of the process that truck was going through. The Communication from him was constant. There wasn’t a time longer than two days that would go by without him Just checking in to make sure I didn’t need anything else and to assure me of any updates. So, Dave Smith Motors. They used to be a good dealership, I emphasize usedto be. I have bought 3 vehicles, 1 brand new 2 used. They don't work for the sale anymore, they expect you to work for them and to jump through hoops to accommodate them. Then when you don't comply or meet their expectations you have to fight for your deposit to be returned. Going on 21 days waiting for my deposit on a truck I was interested in, then I'm told it's going to be an additional 7 days. Luckily I have a family member who is an attorney in idaho, take note people. They sit on your money and gain interest even if they don't sell a unit and make money while not returning your deposit in a timely fashion. I will never buy from Dave Smith Motors again.

We decided on a Tuesday morning we wanted to look at a vehicle and by Tuesday evening we were walking away with the keys and even got what we wanted for our trade in. I was very leery after a bad car dealership experience in the past, but JR clearly communicated with me the entire time and Ridge made the finance portion quick and smooth.

This was my second time buying from them and definitely my last. Read the reviews- it’s a trap! Stay away, they just want YOUR hard earned $$ without a commensurate product.Sadly, I didn’t check the reviews because they were tight six years ago, but alas, no longer!!The facts:1. Tried to get me to put a $500 deposit on the truck I was originally interested in, even though someone else had already put a deposit on it.2. That truck sold, I put a deposit on the other truck I was interested in - took several days for it to be ready, as they found problems with it after I put my deposit down.3. When I picked it up, was told verbally the oil had been changed and their inspection had been done. Changed the oil a few days later as the indicator still showed 48% life remaining. It was jet black, definitely had not been changed.4. Check engine light illuminated on my drive home from the dealer after picking it up. Pulled the codes, it was in the history so they cleared the code in order to sell it.5. Also noticed a ticking sound that I couldn’t hear on the test drive (salesman talking) - $3,500 to replace the timing system. Took my mechanic 5 seconds to diagnose. You would assume the “hundred and some point inspection” would find it.6. They only gave me 6 gallons of gas - manager decision since it was a “zero dollar sale”.They’re not willing to help with the cost since there was no warranty, despite the implied warranty law for both WA and ID.That’s what happened, I’ll leave it to you to decide, but I’m never going back. For what it’s worth, I’m 23 years active military and have bought and sold many cars in that time. This might be the biggest hose job yet.

These folks, and this dealership are worth your time and your business. Kyle Cunnington and I had been talking for well over a year, as I tried to figure out my next truck purchase. From the time I lived in Texas to my home now in Washington, I had planned on making this the place to buy from. Kyle has always been fantastic to work with, responsive and reasonable, which I greatly appreciated. There's a lot that goes into a new truck purchase these days, and Kyle worked with me throughout the ordering process. I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying a new truck to give them a call. Oh, and lastly, they're hard to beat on price, which in this wonky vehicle market these days, is a key for us buyers.

If I could give this business a no star I would. We put a 500.00 hold on a vehicle and then decided to not purchase it. We have called numerous time to speak with the GM Chad as well as the sales rep Murphy, left numerous messages and they do not call back. And they have not released the 500. Shady business. Definitely not how the original Dave Smith was before selling out.

We met Harley when he volunteered to show us a new truck. He drove us to 3 locations around the area so we could see the truck we were interested in. There was no pressure, we were heading out of town and spent far too much time with him. He gave me a card and said if he could ever be of help to call him. Two months later we ordered the truck. Harley was in contact every step, and was responsive to repeated inquiries or requests. He stayed late the night I arrived to get the truck. He was just great. Best experience on a car lot.

We bought a new but used car a month or so ago traded in my car we were treated so good it was an easy transaction. Then we ordered a New Denali pickup. We traded two cars in we were very happy with trade in value on our cars. Again very easy transaction. We are very Happy with our new pickup in fact it was better then we anticipated. Bought a pre-owned Mazda from Dave Smith a couple months back. Joshua was my sales rep. Found the car online, was able to put down a deposit easily until I could come test drive it, and was able to get most of my paperwork done ahead of time.
