Perfectly rustic for the location, just across from a historical site and walking path, near the river. Close to town. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms and great service family owned awesome showers. Really a small homey feel. Thank you for always having a smile, acomodating where you can and working so hard it does not go unseen and is very appreciated.

We had a fantastic time. The new bathrooms are awesome! The girls at the front desk were super helpful and put us in a spot that fit our extra long rig and had room for our fishing boat. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!!!Nearby activities: The Clearwater River is beautiful and has great fishingWalkability: The Heart of the Monster park across the highway has some nice (but short) hiking trails

We are planning a reunion at this campground next year 2024. Tesla, and the entire staff, including the manager have been so accommodating, and helpful! Sometimes, I will call several times in one day just to ask questions or check on things, and they always make the time to help me. I drove up there before booking this place and they took the time to show me the cabins, motel rooms, RV sites, event room, pool, arcade room, and the entire grounds. If you are planning a group event or just a family vacation, I would recommend this KOA! I will post again after we have our event.

READ BEFORE YOU STAY AND PAY DEPOSIT!!!!! Stay away! Don't pay deposit without going to look first AT YOUR RV SIGHT!!!! They won't return it when it proves THEIR FAULT they couldn't provide decent and safe rv sites! Go look first! Do not expect a decent place for your rv at this KOA and the owners are something to be desired as well which reflects the same given how the entire campground was kept up. We were needing space for a 39FT rv with opposing slide outs during a time my husband was doing a job locally in kamiah. Given that KOA campgrounds in our experience were pretty nice we expected the same. This place is not a quality place to any degree. We stupidly put a deposit of 100.00 on a space. When we got there ALL the spots were extremely muddy to the point you wouldn't want to take some trucks thru the space on their own yet alone a $50,000 trailer. Not exaggerating. I wish I was. There is no gravel and forget any sort of level space whatsoever. Due to the really bad placement of the water sewer and electric utilities within what I guess they called rv spaces and the very large trees in every space that was a MAJOR space issue making it impossible for slide outs and parking, coupled with the fact that the mud was so bad, we would've been taking a chance getting our trailer stuck and no way was there any hope of leveling whatsoever with holes in the spaces some almost 6 inches deep. The lengths we would've had to go thru to stay there and set up the trailer safely and get it level was not even reasonable. Even dried up you still would have major problems cuz there's no level spaces. Big rigs with slide outs forget it. All seasons. We would've thought that a KOA would have something at least better than this!!! The overall facility was trashy on every level. From the green algae pool area to the clear lack of maintenance to the grounds of any sort..... it was awful and we weren't willing to potentially cause harm to our trailer or live in the mud hole and so we asked for our money back and left. We were told our 100 dollar deposit would be refunded as well and I thinkrightly so. I was just told that it's non refundable and they don't care why we had to leave. I've never experienced this level of customer service anywhere. I've never had a problem with any rv park like this then again I've never encountered a place of business like an rv park that looked like this one. It's pretty bad and you would think overall they would try to be better at least give us our deposit back given it was THEIR PROBLEM that prevented our stay, not ours. They showed us a few spots all were off the same caliber. Ones that were not as muddy were more un level. Nothing worked. I never leave reviews and I probably would've stayed quiet if they had returned my deposit which was absolutely the right thing to do. Maybe me letting someone know this ahead of their potential stay might save them the money and headache of going thru what we did. Don't take my word for it, just go check it out BEFORE giving them your money. Bad business sorry to say. Happy travels to all!

We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend and left one day early. I didn’t feel the sites were maintained very well- where ruts developed from mud and campers, mulch was thrown over it and that didn’t take care of it. The size of our site was nice though. The kids liked the pool and the playground but the trash on the ground in the play area was there all weekend- never saw any employee picking up or cleaning. The pool and the rest room were both clean and in good shape. Not a KoA I would care to revisit

I recently attended a 3 day family reunion at this campsite. When we got there we discovered the bathrooms next to the site that had been rented were out of order. The majority of the attendees were older individual but we found out that we were expected to walk a good distance down to the pool area if we needed to use a bathroom. When the planners of this event asked if the owners would rent a porta potty for us, apparently the answer was no, with no offer of a discount. I feel the customer service was very poor and the planners should have been made aware of this prior to all these people arriving.

We rented the Pow Wow event room for our event. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the owners helped make our event a success! Great people and a excellent work crew they have to keep everything clean and organized! We stayed the night in one of the hotel rooms. It was beautifully decorated with a cozy comfortable bed. The cabins looked cute too, next time I will try one of them.

Staff are awesome. Cabin we stayed in was awesome. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Some of the public that moves in behind us could have had a little more consideration of others with the noise for people trying to sleep in. Also the people beside us could have parked in front of their cabin instead of part of ours to. Oh well. Still had a great stay and would stay again in a heart beat. LOVE THE CABINS.

I will say that the desk person was very nice. I did not see the public bathrooms or other public facilities, but I did see cabins and I would not stay in those. Seems like an RV park where people live, more so than a KOA campground. I have stayed in 4 other Journey KOAs to-date and those were nice, and this was not at the same level.

We are SO grateful that we found this place! We are camping down past Kooskia for a week and were wanting a shower. We FINALLY found this KOA with showers available to the public for only $3!!! We are so happy... The staff was great and the facilities were VERY clean! We HIGHLY recommend this place! We will definitely be back next year! 😃

Rented a cabin for some solitude. Clean Cabin with cookware kitchenette, coffee maker, microwave. Fairly quiet with dog run & duck pond. Owners were kind and respectful of my privacy. Great get away from the hectic daily life.

My children and I had a perfect weekend at the cabins here! The play ground was very entertaining, the full self- serve breakfast was delicious and varied, the beds were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and available with the perfect amount of privacy from other tenants! Also the price can't be beat. Definitely planning another stay!

We were in town for a motorcycle rally hosted at this campsite. We had two connecting rooms. They were a bit dated but they were clean and quiet and everything worked as expected. The staff were the best. They went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience possible. Thanks! We will definitely stay here again.

We recently attended a family reunion and the Kamiah KOA. When we arrived we were told that the restrooms were not in service and that we needed to use the facilities over by the pool. We have many elderly family members and small children and this was too far for them to go. We were not informed ahead of time of this change or provided the option of a porta pot. When we approached the manager she became confrontational and used extremely vulgar language. Completely inappropriate behavior when we calmly explained our situation. We did rent a portable restroom, paid for ourselves, for the three day event.

Awesome sites. My family stayed for a week and it was a great get away in a little town. Reminds me of a state park setup. Wooded area, pool for the kids, clean bathrooms, great playground. The beautiful river is right across the highway from the park and you can fish it or float it, it’s a very calm river with warm water. Very clean water. There is a beautiful reservoir about 40 miles away that you can fish and kayak in as well for a great day getaway. The local store is well stocked and has all you need. The staff of this campground is amazing. The owner Kristy was very nice and made sure all the kids have fun. Great place for a family getaway. We will come back again.

The camp site has a table and trees, quite well maintained. The fishing pond is not for fishing anymore. The cabins and RV parking are also nice. The pool is 3 ft deep and perfect for kids! Up the road is button beach, perfect for fishing and splashing in the water. A grocery store is also well stocked and close by. All in all this was a very great place to stay! Depending on your hammock be sure to bring some extra rope in case the trees are too far apart. We loved spending time here and hope you enjoy yourself!

I was nervous reading some of the reviews but we stayed here one night and I didn't have any issues. Pool and bathrooms were nice. It's a campground so it did the job. I'm not sure how or why but my site had firewood there for free.

Bathrooms were not clean, waste baskets overflowing, no paper towels & water was not warm enough for a shower. Grounds & roads were muddy. Outside garbage cans were overflowing. Meeting room was dirty including bird droppings. Broom provided did not have a handle. Way too expensive for the condition of the campground.

We stayed in the hotel utilizing two different rooms. The rooms were not as clean as they should be. Not well vacuumed and not well maintained. We had a plumbing problem in the first one and an electrical problem in the second. Also the rooms were very noisy with loud heat/AC units, loud plumbing, and thin walls. The campground portion looked great and we would not hesitate to use it when we travel with our trailer. The staff was very polite and helpful.

This is the most run down, dumpy KOA I've stayed at and I only stay at KOA's in my travels which are alot since I live in my RV . The front desk staff was great but the grounds are a mess, there are old broke down cars, trash, old trailers and full time residents that don't take care of their areas which makes the place look very run down. It's a shame, the area is beautiful and the campground would be too, if they'd clean it up

I travelled across the country from the east to the west coast. I camped so many times in different KOA sites that I couldn’t remember. But this place is definitely the WORST KOA site from Massachusetts all the way to Idaho. The staffs were GREAT : friendly nice and impeccable. But all tent sites were basically grassless MUD PITS. You’d even need a 4x4 just to reach your tent site! Not to mention the virtually nonexistent wifi signals in tent sites. In this case, why bother pay to camp here than camping for free in the national forest?

My experience at the KOA was extremely horrid and terrifying, we used to go shower there we’ve been Showering there for seven months and not one time have we had a problem with the owners or anyone else there!!! They accused us of leaving the showers a mess!! I stuck up for myself and said no ma’am we don’t leave it dirty we always pick up our mess up when we’re done!! Right then and there she snapped she walks all fast, gets in my face starts yelling and screaming and told me that I’m a liar and all this mess, we are not the only family that comes and showers there!!what she did and how she did it was completely unprofessional and completely unnecessary my kids we there for crying out loud!!and this lady the owner was yelling and screaming at me and then gives my money back by shoving it in my breast!! She touched me!!! I’m so astounded and shocked of how me and my family were treated!!
