They seem to be bothered when you need help, and not knowledgeable about basic things, and they have a bit of an altitude, they don't know how to smile, make you feel welcomed, after all, I AM spending my money there, do better.

As other reviews have pointed out, this particular location is extremely hit or miss on customer service. Today (Oct. 30th 2023) I went to this location in Kamiah to return some plumbing parts I had purchased over the weekend that I did not end up using. When I made the original purchase I used a $5 reward card I received in the mail.I came in to return these items and purchase some other items. I asked how I would get my $5 reward back with the return and was informed it was "burnt" as the clerk at the counter with metal spikes sticking out of his lips phrased it. I said well isn't there a way to give me a $5 discount on my new order and was told no. I find it hard to believe there was no one there that could not have given me the $5 reward which I earned by spending money here. I said that this is a terrible system if you can not give a customer their reward back. I told him this was ridiculous and you might as well be stealing money from your customers this way. I was told not to come back in the front doors then and the clerk, again the one with the metal spikes sticking out of his lower lip, refused to bag my new purchase and left me to put my new items into the bag I had returned the other items in. This is pathetic customer service. You are in a small town and you are already the more expensive option. Exactly why would I want to spend my hard earned money here? Especially if they even Rob me of the small $5 incentive used to get people back in the store to spend money. Very undesired people management! I cannot speak of other locations, but have heard a lot of horror stories about working at this Ace Hardware. It is sad to be a patriot and want to support made in America but unable to do so because of poor people management and bad staff.

This is a typical Ace hardware store. The help is friendly and very helpful. This store also has nice little gifts and trinkets that I love to browse through whenever I'm there. Wide variety of paints, tools, and gardening needs

I have always loved Ace stores and will continue to, but this location has the most hit-or-miss customer service. My husband says he won't even go in there anymore, but for various reasons I continue to.The last time I was there, my sister and I spent about 25 minutes picking out garden seeds. There were three racks of seeds, one of which had a "4 packets for $1" sign on it, so we spent a good amount of time comparing the different specs of the brands and prices of the seeds between the three different racks. We finally went to check out and the sale price wasn't coming up as they rang us up; so we pointed that out and the employee said "Oh shoot I should have taken that sign down, that sale ended 2 days ago". So now we were paying 4x what we thought we would be when we picked out that brand of seeds. We asked what there policy was in this situation and they just kind of awkwardly stood there and said the manager was still on lunch break. Another employee said last time this happened they just charged the customer full price "since the sale was over". So, that's what they did with us.This is just one example; something comes up about every other time I'm there (last time they messed up mixing a paint color, which I didn't realize until I was actually painting with it). Not to mention that the entire time you shop you basically have to overhear their constant personal conversations because they're mostly standing around with (apparently) nothing better to do. End rant.

Always friendly service always a clean environment always unique items almost always fairly priced I just wish sometimes that a bigger variety what they don't have they can order and get for you. A small town store where you can still find common courtesy and friendly service.Brandon & Tressa

I was not greeted when I walked into the store like normal. I was in an aisle looking at spray nozzles and the manager was in the aisle as well. She did not speak to me and just gave me a dirty look and turned her back to me. She seemed very rude and had no customer service skills. It is a good thing that I didn't need any help or I may have made a scene for how rude she acted.

Always great service, I'm a local here so they always know me. Usually get sweet tea, great place for any yard needs. Also board games, stuffies and toys, decorative stuff for yards and houses, hardware (obviously) and lots more.

Excellent small town hardware store. Super friendly folks, always eager to help. A little bit of everything. Prices are actually similar to Home Depot - especially when you figure in the driving factor. In some cases, we've found better prices here, as a matter of fact.

Needed some paint. Had tried somewhere else for a quart and it took forever to match and find the paint and it was expensive. Needed more a few days later, so being closer to my regular Ace Hardware I was excited to invest in four gallons that were on sale. Juli and Barbara whipped up a couple of color matches and before long I was on my way home with perfectly matched paint at a great price. The visit was improved with a short visit with the king of the store; resident welcoming comkitty, JJ. ACE is definitely the place.

They seem to have a little bit of everything! Including fun Stem toys and gifts for kiddos at prices less than O saw on the internet. Everyone is knowledgeable about their stock and where it is at. Great place!

Got into an argument with the cashier, and the manager about a garden hose I rainchecked 2 months prior. The hose at time of sale was $36.99 . They tried to charge me $54.99 when I was called when they came in.
