The tents were super fun and the beds were so comfortable. There were a few issues with the showers backing up. There wasn't anywhere to fill up our water bottles or camel backs other than the showers which was kind of irritating but doable. Absolutely beautiful area.Nearby activities: Loved how close it was to Yellowstone.

Who runs this place? A bunch of crickets. The cows were more responsive and attentive than anyone working there. $250 a night for someone to put your tent up for you and then drive away with the bathrooms in the morning. Since it was in a cow pasture, we had to leave camp to find a bathroom and decided not to return. Management would not respond when we asked for a refund. It looks idyllic, but it’s not. It’s still Girl Scout camping without the bathrooms and campfires.Hey Wander camp, can you call me back?Noteworthy details: Don’t stay here. I can’t stand a business that doesn’t stand behind their word or respond to calls or emails.

The bed and tent were very comfortable. I stayed in mid September where it’d get cold at night but that wasn’t really an issue. The tent is tall too which makes it more comfortable as well. The location is very quiet for the most part. I say for the most part because you’re near a cattle ranch and the cows can get fairly loud at night.Finding the actual location can be a challenge, so be sure to look on the company’s website because google maps will take you to an incorrect location. There are coordinates to the gate on the website so be sure to find those before coming or you’ll have some difficulty. You do not get a towel, and in fact they charge you for it which is a bit silly given that it’s the most basic of amenities. That, and the water does not heat up in the shower, so just be prepared for that. There are also no electrical outlets anywhere on the camp, so bring either an external battery or have the correct plugs in your car to charge whatever devices you bring. The location is very dark which makes for good stargazing. Management could improve this experience greatly by changing the colors of the lights on the camp to red to help keep your eyes from resetting so easily. It takes about 45 minutes for your eyes to fully adjust to the darkness according to several observations we’ve been to and ted lights don’t interfere with this. It would really take this activity to the next level with very little investmentOverall I’d give this place a 3.5/5. It has great potential and just needs a little more investment to get it there, mainly in the bathroom and amenities department.

I had been car camping through the area’s National Parks and needed a break from setting up a tent each night. The location is about 25 minutes from the west gate of Yellowstone in a pasture with mountain views. Nighttime skies in this location, if you are lucky to have cloudless nights, have very little artificial light which makes for great stargazing. We experienced a little bit of a clear night sky close to midnight after some dramatic rain clouds with a rainbow at sunset. The tent was spacious, and it’s furnishings simple, but the bed was comfortable. Solar powered lanterns were provided for nighttime use. Picnic tables are a short drive near the reception—a distance for food prep and meals. I was expecting each tent to have its own picnic table for convenience like at the NP campsites. It’s good that they don’t as it is still grizzly bear country. The positive side of having a shared picnic and fire pit area is that you mingle with your fellow campers. There are multiple picnic tables and several fire pits. The vibe in the outdoor dining area was great. We stayed up late having conversations with other campers—something you don’t get at national park campsites. The bed comforter was warm—a big win since the weather this June was wonky and colder than expected. I have to say the customer experience with this company was very positive.Noteworthy details: Solar powered. Campsite has the comfort of flushing toilets.

Lovely and reasonably priced stay outside Yellowstone. We were car camping and in need of a break. Found this site outside of Yellowstone on a grassy plane with a beautiful mountain view and ranch in the background. The yurt was great and the best part was the most comfortable bed my wife and I have ever slept on. We melted into that mattress and got amazing sleep. Overall a very restful experience for us and our Bernese Mountain dog.Only suggestion for improvement could be an adults only side and additional bathroom/showers (although might be challenging given the focus on environmental conservation).Overall an excellent experience.

The tent camp experience was exhilarating. Nestled amidst nature's splendor, it offered a perfect escape from urban chaos. The picturesque surroundings and serene atmosphere were captivating. The tents were comfortable and well-equipped, making it a cozy stay. Charles was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall ambiance. Engaging in outdoor activities like campfire and stargazing added thrill to the adventure. The camp provided an unforgettable experience, making it an ideal choice for nature enthusiasts seeking solace and adventure.

What a find! Great place to stay for your Yellowstone visit. The tents are exactly as pictured online! Issac and his wife were perfect hosts, so helpful and even loaned me a cowboy hat for the rodeo! Thank you so much for making our visit so special. As some have said, the shower and bathroom situation is definitely rustic. But if you bring all of your own shower supplies and shower first thing in the morning after they’ve refilled the tanks and cleaned the showers, it’s no problem at all. If you’re concerned about not being able to bring food into the camp, there’s a restaurant less than 5 minutes away and a plethora more only 20 minutes down the road at West Yellowstone. We’ll definitely be back!

Very cute but overpriced for the amenities. Heater didn't work. We would have froze if we hadn't happen to have our own giant down blanket. Showers were unpleasant- you had to pull a chain the whole time so rinsing was challenging and the water phased between ice cold and sort of warm. Water flowed out of the bottom of the trailer creating a mud pit to walk through after showering. No drinking water on-site which is something that should be mentioned on the 20 emails explaining the place. Host was sweet but over worked.

We loved this tent! About 30 minutes from West Gate Yellowstone. Our kids loved it here, beds are comfy. Toilets are nice for portables, we didn’t try the showers so can’t comment on those. Friendly staff. If you’re looking for a camping experience (plan to bring all that you need minus the tent and bedding / linens) 30 min from Yellowstone this is a great option. Pretty mountain views!

This was the perfect place to stay after long days in Yellowstone. The tent was nicely equipped with solar lights for night time, comfy chairs to watch the sunset and stars and a super comfortable foam mattress for the bed.Looking at the negative reviews, it appears people did not understand what they were signing up for. You are camping! Glamping really, camping in luxury with a flushing toilet and comfy bed.A couple tips to make your stay more comfy:- Keep in mind there is no running water so bring water with you for your stay.- bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. You’re in a tent, so you hear everything from people to the wind to the cows grazing at dawn and dusk- make sure to check in during their designated check in time! They assign your tent as you arrive. It is dark at night and you will not be able to find your tent without direction and may accidentally try and open an already occupied tentWe really enjoyed our stay here and will likely search out this experience at other national parks!

What an amazing place! The location, the tent, the bed, everything was perfect! Even on a cold (4C) night the bed was lovely and warm. The sunset, stars and sunrise were gorgeous and coyotes howling in the early hours added to the experience. Hosts - Charles and his girlfriend (sorry can't remember your name!) - were both wonderful and the site was kept clean and cow free (even when they kept trying to come back!)

This was a magical night for our family. We loved being around the campfire, visiting with individuals from all over the globe, sharing s’mores and our fascination with mother natures beauty. I’ve never seen the stars so clear. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the facilities were super clean. It was a very cold morning so I now know why they offer renting the heaters!

Completely OVERSOLD on the whole "glamping" thing. The website is very professional and insinuates a MUCH nicer presence than what you drive up to. The "canteen" is a old school "camper" that has not been moved in years that has a menu of hot dogs and bagged chips for purchase, when someone is there. No firepits or grills for each tent. The bathrooms were in a portable trailer with 3 showers. They are camper toilets and I always found them mostly clean while the host was present. They are completely PRIMITIVE. No electricity whatsoever, no dinner is going to be arranged for you as advertised, and the solar lights didn't work. The cows that hit your tent, ate, and used the bathroom right outside your tent were the least of your concern. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The temps got down to 32 degrees and we were warm during the night without renting a heater for an additional fee. My husband and I are used to tent camping so this was just a mental adjustment for us based on our expectation prior to arrival. If we were not prior campers, this would have been a big disappointment to us. The scenery is beautiful and we didn't have any trouble with other campers. We did hear a couple people ask the camp host for contact information for admin because they wanted a refund and the host said "Ill tell you right now, this company is not good about giving refunds, good luck." You need to know what you are getting into before you go. If you are only staying 1-3 nights, are used to primitive camping, expect to eat all meals out, and don't mind the 4-legged guests...this place will satisfy you just fine!

The good – tents are very comfortable and the bathrooms were fine, if in short supply. The bad – the camp is in a cow pasture that is not remote at all; the road noise was relentless. Then there are the cows. They were eating next to our tent all night, getting caught up in the lines securing the tent and the tent was shaking like crazy...plus they left gifts.Forget about coffee and pancakes; neither of either, which was a bummer.Worst of all, the bathrooms & showers were towed away at 8:45 AM. I was IN the shower when my friend walked up and they were hooking the whole bathroom deal to a truck. The only reason they didn't drive off with me in there was that she saw the guy removing the steps to my door and told him I was in the shower! She wanted to use it next but they said, no, we need to do maintenance on these and off they went.At that point we decided we were not coming back for a 2nd night. I reached out to request a refund & they completely blew me off. I tried emailing, calling, online chatting – nothing.Bummer; seems like a good idea but not well executed at all.

The Wander Camp is Great! Prior to check in, Wander Camp sent lots of communication and information. Much appreciated! Check in was easy and and efficient. The tents are amazing. The bed and bedding is comfortable. The best part is that every tent has a view!!!!! There was music and fires going last night. The showers are perfectly acceptable. Nice to have toilets and toilet paper. I am so happy we stayed here!

Tents are decorated cute and are very cozy and clean. I was also surprised by the roominess in the tents. The problem is they are too close together we could hear the campers next to us until 1am talking, and the beeping from them unlocking and locking their car making it hard to sleep. Had to pay extra for a heater and fire wood. There was also no bonfire for the camp. The bathrooms were disgusting and there are only 6, 3 with showers, for 30 tents each with multiple campers. So needless to say there was always a wait. We decided to skip the shower. We showed up hungry and expecting food to be available but the Canteen was closed. The road to get in was muddy and washed out luckily our rental car got upgraded to a truck. Location was more beside the highway than in the wilderness. We’re glad we only booked one night.

Very soft and comfortable bed, cold a bit but they offer firewood ($$8 cash) or floor heater ($$20 cash). But also offer the chance to tack the charges on your bill, which is also helpful. They also have 5 restrooms (with two that have showers in them), which is close to every tent. Fun part was seeing the cows starting to get close to the tents before being shoo’d away.

Very cool spot. It's in a great location for relaxation. I personally recommend heading there before sunset, as you can enjoy a truly attractive sunset view and embrace the nature vibe. Also, make sure to sleep early and wake up to witness the sunrise again. It's an amazing experience, especially for someone like myself who lives in a city filled with high-rise buildings. There's only one thing I want to mention: the network reception is not really good there. However, everything has two sides, especially if you're looking for a place to completely recharge yourself :)

Nice, relaxing, and clean campground. We got a King size bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were kept clean. There was hot water for shower. There was six total bathroom stalls, three with with showers. The hosts was always around when we need to ask question. We are from CA central valley were our temp is in the triple digits in August, so we weren't expecting rain and 40-50 degree temps here. Right after we arrived for check-in it rain really hard with thunder and lightening for about an hour and then clear up the rest of the evening. It was a great experience to be close to nature and sleep in the tipi tent under the relaxing rain and thunder sound. I enjoyed this experience very much. Though, my husband did mention the grass around the tent could be maintained more but that didn't bother me. I enjoyed the peace and quiet view of the moutain lanscape and grazing cows.

Save your money and go somewhere else, I know this place is budget friendly but you're better off packing your own tent and camping on the side of the highway. The road in is a mud bath, the car we were driving had a rough time just making it to the entrance. Bathrooms were not well maintained, and one morning we didn't even have running water. Hosts were sweet but hustling customers for good reviews; in trade of supplies. We actually paid for 4 nights and only stayed for two of them. Invest a couple more bucks and stay somewhere more accommodating or pack your own tent.
