We have been using their cabins for years for family get togethers and they have been amazing! I love how it is divided into individual units, but they're interconnected so it doesn't feel like you're far away from family. It is definitely on the high end of pricing, so watch out for seasonal deals. You can usually manage to get 40% off. The units have a lot of amenities including a hot tub even if the hot tub is a bit rough and ready. The rooms are showing a bit of age, but I think it adds to the charm. I would rather have a family event here than the new hotel down the road because of how it manages to give you your own space, while also feeling connected. Overall we've had a lot of great experiences here and I would recommend it for people wanting to get together for a reunion.

Stayed here for 3 nights while snowmobiling Island Park. Very popular with regional snowmobilers.Room was large and bed was comfortable.Breakfast was not so good and nothing else near by. Need to open breakfast earlier than 7 for those needing to go to Yellowstone for early tour.Office not open at night but staff was available by call and were very responsive. If recreating in South Island Park it is a great location.

My family loves staying at Sawtelle Mountain Resort. The rooms are spacious and clean. We love staying in the suites and cabins because they have hot tubs. The family suite is perfect for our family of six. There are a lot of options and plenty of seating at breakfast. My kids love the indoor pool, game room, and outdoor pickleball court. There are a lot of outdoor activities to do right outside with trails for hiking, RZR riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, etc. We love eating at Connie's, which is a quick walk from the resort.Rooms: The rooms are spacious. Every room has a mini fridge. The suites have kitchens or kitchenettes and hot tubs. The cabins have a fireplace and a patio with a hot tub. The bedding is so comfortable!Nearby activities: You can access trails with your RZR right outside the resort. You can rent RZRs from High Mountain Adventures next door. Yellowstone National Park is less than 30 minutes away. Henry's Lake is also close by.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone Park. It's a handy location to the West (most popular) entrance to the park, about a 30 minute drive, and way less expensive than places closer. Big, nicely appointed rooms, comfortable beds, lots of linens, huge TV. My only negative would be the soundproofing between adjoining rooms (we could see light under the door and hear clearly into the next room). Convenient to a grocery store an a couple of decent restaurants. Nice breakfast area and decent selection for breakfast. Friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend!

This is a fantastic resort! The rooms are beautifully remodeled. They provide an arcade in the main resort with a ton of free games and a nice workout room. The pool and hot tub are small but functional. The breakfast is hearty. It is unbelievably priced for what is in reality a high 3-star hotel, more high end than most 3-star hotels. I was hesitant to book here because it was listed as a 2-star but I’m glad we took the risk. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. They even provide laundry on each floor, so we were able to wash clothes after wet and muddy days at Yellowstone. You will not be sorry you stayed here.

We stayed here for a family reunion in June 2021. The place was fantastic and had options for all price levels. We camped in the tent area while family booked two suites with private hot tubs and kitchens. We had a blast letting kids roam the property, swim, and had a fire for s'mores one night. Staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for things to do in the area. Would definitely stay again if visiting Yellowstone again.

This hotel was AMAZING I highly recommend. It comes with your own hot tub, a huge and spacious suite, two TVs, a door to outside from your room with a great view, and a extended roof to prevent rain from getting in the hot tub, it also comes with a game room with arcade games, a switch, and an Xbox. The breakfast bar has super good biscuits and gravy, and there is a pullout couch if needed. Overall, this is the best hotel I've ever been to and PLEASE go to this place if you are visiting Yellowstone or anywhere else. 😁Nearby activities: If you visit Sawtelle Mountain Resort, you should also visit Yellowstone National Park in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho.

$222.00 for one room. Second floor with elevator access. They have a laundry but can’t use it after 10 pm. Non-smoking/vaping.We stayed here for one night during our Yellowstone trip. The room was a excellent. Very clean and well kept. Plenty big for three people—two comfortable queen beds—with a massive bathroom. The floor was a mix of hardwood and carpet.Honestly I have nothing bad to stay about our stay here. The staff was quick, effective and friendly even though we checked in super late.Breakfast the next morning was hot and delicious. They had an assortment of food and drinks to pick from. (Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, fruit, cereal, pancakes. Apple, orange, cranberry juice. Plus coffee with your choice of creamer.)

Sawtelle is a great find in the Island Park Area. We are a family of four and appreciated the remodeled rooms.... lots of space... desk, two beds, fridge, mirowave and a spacious bathroom. The rooms were clean. I appreciated that there were extra towels in the closet. There was a great game room with gaming systems, arcade games, and tables for the card and board games available for the kids. The pool looked nice, but we didn't have time to use it. The breakfast was decent and had options of pancakes, biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. The front desk ladies were very helpful and kind when we checked in. Plently of parking. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back.

I had an amazing time at Sawtelle Mountain Resort! The atmosphere throughout the resort was simply delightful, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. The room was spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable haven to unwind after daily adventures. The amenities were fantastic, adding that extra touch of luxury to my stay. Pickleball court, game room, campfire pits, hot tub and swimming pool were all great for energetic kids. The breakfast they served was delicious, and I can't recommend Sawtelle Mountain Resort enough for anyone looking to have a wonderful and unforgettable getaway experience.

My family had the most incredible time at Sawtelle Mountain Resort! The breakfast was absolutely top-notch, and the whole vibe there was so chill and relaxing, surrounded by those beautiful mountains, it was unreal! The rooms were super cozy and had all the stuff you'd need, plus the resort's amenities were just icing on the cake. There were places for our small group to enjoy our own activities, like rock painting and s'mores, making it such a memorable vacation. And here's the best part, it's so close to Yellowstone! I mean, we hopped over there in no time and had a blast exploring all the epic sights. Seriously, if you're looking for a laid-back getaway with stunning scenery and easy access to Yellowstone, Sawtelle Mountain Resort is the spot to hit up! Highly recommended, my friend!

We've recently stayed here in mid June of 2023 and stayed in site 38. The site was large enough to accommodate our 32ft (40ft total length) travel trailer with 3 slide outs and still had room to spare, even with my truck parked on the site. Although at the time that we arrived, it was raining and wet, the site wasnt muddy as i would have expected. The site was not leveled, but with some stackable blocks, we got our trailer to sit as leveled as we could. For a small town of just over 200 people, Sawtelle Mountain Resort has a lot to offer. Their amenities made our stay comfortable. The game room and indoor swimming pool kept our kids occupied. The onsite showers and restrooms were super clean, as well as their laundry facility. It was not crowded and at times, it appeared like we were the only ones using the amenities, even though there were many people staying there. Yellowstone was only 20 minutes or so from this site. We passed through a small town in Montana while we were on the way to the west gate of Yellowstone. Overall, we had a pleasant experience during our 5 days 4 nights stay at the RV site in Sawtelle Mountain Resort. The people who worked there were nice and welcoming. Thank you Sawtelle Mountain Resort for making our stay wonderful! As far as cell service goes, we had 3 bars and our service is through Xfinity (Verizon). The wifi at the resort was strong enough to allow us to watch YouTube and kept us staying connected with the city life. Hope this review helps those of you who planned on staying here.

I stayed here for one night, and it was one of the best places I found during my six-day driving tour of the Yellowstone area. The room was exceptionally clean, and the shower was fantastic. The pool and hot tub area were a welcome relief after days of driving. The staff were friendly and helpful, and all in all it was simply a great experience. I recommend this place to anyone.

I have been driving past this place for 21 years and due to its location, being right in the middle of my destination, I've never stopped. That changed last night when Highway 20 was closed due to bad weather and a 10 car pile up. Being conveniently located at the time and the freezing weather conditions we pulled right in and they got us into a really nice Suite; with a King size bed, a kitchenette and a really nice private hot tub, two steps from our sliding glass door. The price was decent and my wife was very excited about the merchandise they had for sale. A happy wife is a happy husband.

We stayed in one of the cabins. I guess I didn't realize it was 3 floors - be prepared for lots of stairs.Positives - It was nice, clean. Has washer & dryer.Negatives - The downstairs bedroom, had no dresser or table to put our luggage on. There was no hangers in the closet. I did request some from the office and they gave me 8 for the room. The bed was not easy on our backs. Mattresses seem old and full of springs. The full bath is down stairs and smelled like sewer every time it was flushed. We had our own hot tub, but the hot tub was old and didn't have head rests with only a couple jets working.

What a beautiful rustic resort. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I would definitely visit here again. The private hot tubs for the cabin rental is awesome!!!! Everything was perfect.Nearby activities: The Yellowstone Playhouse is really close. Definitely funny and I recommend y’all go check it out. They have good food too!Safety: I felt safe walking around the property at night and during to day.Noteworthy details: The loft or upstairs in the cabins gets HOT. it would be nice to see a fan up there.

I found the place well maintained, room service was prompt, they cleaned and updated the stock and bath towels everyday for us. They price we paid for stay included free breakfast. It's good place to stay and would recommend if you are visiting the Yellowstone or Teton park.Rooms: Room service was available. There was laundry option where you can insert coins and get your laundry done. Rooms were clean and daily room service was done to ensure place is well maintained.i think it was worth the price.Food & drinks: They have a venting machine on every floor and also provide free breakfast which is included in the cost of room. They have different menu for breakfast everyday.

I stayed here 2 nights. I was looking forward to staying at this resort. I looks beautiful. Not worth the money. Half the gym equipment needed a credit account to use. The washer and dryer was very small and in a not very clean location on a pallet. The lady serving breakfast was not very nice. She told me I couldn't have a glass of milk unless I put it in cereal. She was very serious about it. I literally needed to pour milk in front of her over cereal and even then it was a controlled amount. It felt very uncomfortable.

My husband and I were visiting Yellowstone for a short visit, 2 nights. The front desk guy was very nice, the rooms were perfect. Breakfast was delicious 😋 Everything was clean. I only gave a 4 because the lady serving the breakfast seemed like she just shouldn't be doing customer service. All in all that was just a small part, definitely will go back.
