Filthy! Dirt and grit under every piece of furniture, fridge, end tables, etc. Found no less than 20 black hairs throughout on beds, in the shower, in the sink, etc. Black molding and mildew shower curtain stunk the entire room up and couldn't be good for our health. More black hair. Disgusting! Floors NEVER cleaned, just swept. No coffee in room. No toilet paper holder. Paper thin walls where you hear neighbors walking, conversations, and even get to hear them pooping and peeing. Bathroom door sticks and will not open without catching and waking everyone up. Rarely anybody at front desk. Zero room service, had to ask for towels on third day. Can't say that the bedding was cleaned, found black hair in beds and on top of comforter. Truly the nastiest place we have ever stayed. Had to put shoes or sandals on to walk around the filthy room as we were afraid of contracting a disease or virus. A/C only worked for a while. Woke up hot. All this for the over-priced cost of almost $250 per night. This place was definitely the bottom of the barrel. We would like a full refund please!

This review is of the Cafe at Island Park Lodge.Went there this morning on the recommendation of a local Facebook group. It was a mistake. I do not recommend eating here. Instead, visit Last Chance Bar and Grill or Happy Anglers Cafe.Ordered the chicken fried steak, breakfast sandwich, pancake, coffee and hot chocolate. Coffee and hot chocolate we're ok, mugs were cute. Everything else, not so much. The hash browns were undercooked and cold, bacon was burnt, eggs were runny and not in the good way. The pancake was undercooked and doughy, the chicken fried steak was two pieces of hamburger the size of chicken nuggets deep fried to the size of golf balls. The person I was eating with couldn't even finish their sandwich- looked like a slapdash microwave job. The food was simply not good. The staff looked to be trying their best and seemed a bit strained- I would be too if I was serving food like this. I feel for everyone who eats there because there isn't anything closer. The price absolutely does not reflect the quality.I wouldn't take anyone I cared about to eat here, and will not be returning.

Can’t speak for the rooms. But the food was really bad. Just your typical mediocre rural America food. Lots of grease, not much taste and they had a weird mix of Chinese food that I didn’t understand. Do something right first. Lots of better options like anglers riverfront restaurant and even the Mexican place in Mack’s inn would be a better option.

Ate lunch in this cute little cafe today. Staff was so friendly. The menu was diverse. The chicken potpie was off the charts good. Everything on the menu is in-house made from scratch the server stated. And the potpie certainly tasted like it. Can't wait to eat here soon.

My review is for the dining room portion of this place. I can't really give a super accurate judgement of the food as I had a basic French Dip and it was decent. The fries are uniquely good. They're more like thick cut hash browns than fries, but are still definitely finger food.Service was prompt, friendly, and they didn't do my pet peeve of asking how the food is while my cheeks are stuffed like a chipmunk. This is more geared towards comfort food. It's heavy and greasy. Great if you're just trying to relax indoors for the rest of the day, but not so great if you're having an early lunch with intent of doing outdoor activities on a summer day. There are a few salads.

The room is "cozy" and nicely updated. It was VERY small, but the bathroom was good size. We've got souvenir bruises on our knees from the wooden bed corners, and gashes on my husband's head from the mounted TV that you need to dodge when maneuvering through the room. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Soap and shampoo dispensers were a nice touch - so much less waste! The walk-in shower was large, but make sure to mop up the water that will assuredly be on the floor next to the sink. Walls are very, very thin. Apologies to our neighbor.

The new diner menu is great, order the Idaho Potato Nachos! You won’t be disappointed. Friendly and quick service. The two other items ordered were really good as well. French dip and the Bratwurst sandwich…. Will be going back

Simple, Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Grocery store right across the street with everything that you would need for day trips to Yellowstone etc. about 25 minutes from the west entrance. Attached restaurant was very good too.

Super clean, close to Yellowstone west entrance. Cute decor and friendly staff. Only “eh” thing was all the doors were hard to shut and even harder to open. Bathroom/front door. But the rest far outshined the stupid doors 😂 they also let us check into several hours early, which was wonderful after being on the road for 15 hours.

The Cafe at Island Park Lodge is fantastic! If you are looking for the best home cooked food anywhere in the Yellowstone area, look no further. Fawn is one of the best cooks ever! Cannot say enough about the food, huge portions, and the prices are great too. So glad we found The Cafe:)

Thought that this might be a good place to eat, but I was sadly mistaken. Ordered $90. worth of take-out, and it was some of the worst food that I have ever had. Most of the food was thrown out as our party of 6 all agreed that it was not acceptable. I would highly suggest that this eating establishment be avoided. I went to a small grocery store in the area and bought some hot dogs. The $1.00 hot dog was much better than the Island Park Lodge-China Grove $90. meals. I learned my lesson the hard and expensive way.

Staff was friendly when you saw them... They aren't at the desk usually and you have to call but they are helpful and come to the desk when needed. The rooms are very small but have what you need and work. Bathroom does get a little claustrophobic being the toilet faces the wall your knees will most likely touch. The walls are rather thin between rooms and door between adjoining rooms has a rather large gap at bottom leading to being able to hear neighbors a little too much when AC is not running which they have so a plus there! Restaurant was also a plus in the morning so that helps boost the place as well though. Restaurant at our time of visiting was open Wednesday - Sunday 7am-3pm. Breakfast is served 7am to 11am and lunch served 11am to 3pm. Overall would stay here again for short stents especially for price and location but would make sure the AC didn't ever turn off to help with noise of neighboring rooms.

Best chinese food I have had! My kids are picky eaters and loved it. Our toddler didn't make a peep other than saying yum and mmm between bites. The service was great as well! The food was brought out quickly and the staff was constantly checking if there was anything else they could do for us. Next time we are up this way, we will definitely be stopping again.

Arriving in town at 10:30 at night we looked for something to eat after a 8 hour drive we expected to only take 5 hours. We saw the light on at Island Park and decided to see if they were open. We drive up and could see a table of about 6 people through the window laughing and just having a good time. We walked up to notice that they closed at 10:00pm. We started to walk away and someone came to the door asking if we needed anything. We explained we were just looking for a place to eat. We began to walk back to the truck and the man invited us in! He said they could cook something up for us. We told them we didn't want to bother them but he insisted we come in. As we walked in we noticed how clean and inviting the place was. The people and service was awesome. The food....it was honestly the best Chinese we had in a very long time. It had a lot of flavor and the portions were just right with a little to take home. We would definitely suggest this place to anyone. Very impressed! Great Job guys! And Thank you for your hospitality!

I can't say enough good things about this lodge. My wife and I struggled to find a place to stay but we were so lucky to find this hidden gem. The room was modern and clean with rustic character and decor. The bed was extremely comfortable. The 25 minute drive from West Yellowstone is beyond worth it for the small comforts and the affordability.

Happily Surprised. Chinese sounded amazing after the long day that we had. We were seated quickly, food was served fast and tasted amazing. We will definitely be back! Give this place a try. You won't regret it!

Super awkward place to eat. Only one other table and waitress hovered constantly and never really did much. Understood its a tourist town, but $18+ for a small meal was ridiculous. Ordered pork lo mein, noodles were spaghetti noodles and had identical meat/taste to chicken lo mien. Was over charged because waitress couldn't do the basic math to get correct price, but so irritated I just wanted to get away. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

This review is for the China Grove restaurant that is located in the Island Park Lodge. The food was actually pretty good but getting the silverware after we had our food for about 10 minutes made it luke warm to cold, not hot when we ate it. We were all just staring at our food until we finally flagged someone down to get our silverware, and they forgot to bring enough so we had to flag them down again for the same thing. We also waited a good 15 minutes for them to get our payment cards from us after dropping off the checks at our table. We debated whether they wanted us to pay up front or if they were coming g for the checks... Again, food was great, but the service was a little sloppy overall.
