Wasn't sure what to expect since we ended up here a bit by chance (needed to cut our trip to Idaho short, so we found the lodge on our way out of town)...lucky for us, both the lodge and restaurant are quite nice and were a treat in a rustic setting. The price was right and the experience not only matched our expectations, it exceeded them.We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. The deck was LOVELY, basically right on the river. Lots of wildlife/birds to watch while you wait for your food! Our server was attentive and prompt. Trout was delicious (crispy skin), and the ribeye was also quite good and cooked exactly as ordered. I think other reviewers are expecting some sort of upscale city dining experience, but to me, the food and quality matched the atmosphere (if not elevated it)...a charming old lodge in a scenic mountain setting, with some solid dishes. Exactly what it advertises, and it delivers! We stayed at the lodge as well, and it was charming and thoughtful. Decor/fixtures were a bit older but everything is well maintained, clean, and sweet. The room/bed was comfortable and quiet, and we LOVED the deck looking over the river. Grateful that it was pet friendly with plenty of great outdoor space for our dog.(Side note: I loved the flowers all over the whole lodge building...they were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the hummingbird moths feeding all night)

We had a wonderful dinner at the Anglers lodge. Their outdoor view is right on the river and it’s calming and beautiful. The service was fantastic. Drinks were excellent. Food was great. I had the trout and my only criticism was I’d like more sauce and more kale. My husband got the braised bison and that was pretty good too. I’d definitely go back.

Pros: I rented the mini cabin for 4, and it was nice and cozy. Even though i did not see anybody from the hotel staff during the whole stay, the manager, Jay, seemed very friendly.Cons: The air conditioner worked fine for the first couple of nights, and it barely worked on the third night. This is a mini cabin - it may get a little cramped for 4 people. The complementary muffins and coffee is only from 8:30 to 10:30 and it is not on site.Overall, it is not too far from Yellowstone, and it is a nice and cozy place with very friendly staff.Rooms: The cabin size is very small. But it was clean.Nearby activities: Yellowstone National Park is roughly an hour away!Walkability: Nothing on a walking distance. You will need a car to do anything and everything.Food & drinks: Plenty of food and drinks options if you're willing to drive 20ish minutes.

Great place to stay but stay clear of the restaurant. The food is insanely overpriced and 100% not worth it. The mashed potatoes were way too salty, I am convinced the brown gravy tasted just like packet gravy, the bread appetizer looked like half of a small baguette from Walmart, the fish was dry and overcooked. Our steak came out rare as can be (we asked for medium rare) and when we asked for it to be cooked to our requested medium rare, the cooks charred the outside. The staff were uneducated about their wine list. Honestly, incredibly disappointed. My husband and I ate here 6 years ago and were so excited to come back. Won’t be back again to eat. We ended up going to Last Chance at TroutHunter down the road (about a ten minute walk) twice. The food was reasonably priced and surpassed our expectations after eating here.

Good atmosphere, calm place in front of river side . Cleane room , very humble host. We booked kitchenette room ...all the basic cookware items available with disp soap, sponge . Advisable to buy or bring your own grocery items before reaching lodge. 1 grocery store and gas station not far from lodge. Also they have own restaurant , I can find menu card in room.Happy with the stay.

We visited for dinner and were surprised by the quality of our dinner. The portions were healthy but not large. The pasta was homemade and high quality. My son loves bolognese and tries it whenever it’s offered. Him and my wife claim that their bison bolognese was the best they’ve ever had. My trout was awesome. My daughters’ spaghetti was also great. We sat out on the patio with a great view of the river. Highly recommended!!

I will echo what numerous reviewers have already stated. Several amenities promised in our reservation were not included in our stay. It should be illegal to do what these scam artists are doing to people. No hot tub as advertised. No maid service the whole week we were there. Totally unprofessional and unfriendly staff. Also, they have terribly slow and unreliable internet.Very weak water pressure in the shower provided. The door to the room didn’t lock correctly. So many problems.

We were actually staying at a BNB nearby and found this place for brunch. It has a beautiful patio and riverside viewI tried the fish and chips here, it was quite good. The mushroom pasta is delicious, must try item.Service is good and quite fast but we were the only ones there for brunch at the time.

My boyfriend and I are local to the area and wanted to give this restaurant’s new ownership a try, so we ate here for dinner. We expected quality food since the entrees were so pricey, but were disappointed when our food came out and tasted like defrosted freezer food. We ordered a chicken entree and a pasta dish. The pasta claimed to be homemade on the menu but that’s doubtful. Views are great but the food won’t keep the restaurant alive.

Prices didn't match the quality of food we received.Shrimp over cooked, asparagus burnt.Bartender was very attentive, our so called waiter Josh, didn't participate in our service. What is his roll?Didn't take our order, get us drinks or bring our food, the Bartender did. This is why we left Josh a zero tip but tipped the Bartender accordingly to our total dining bill and thanked him for taking care of us.

Fantastic dining experience. Excellent smoked in house trout dip, the farm salad was excellent. You can taste the quality. Their house made pasta cacio e Pepe was of what you would see at a New York restaurant or in Italy. We frequent this part of the country and have a home here. It’s a win for the community that lacks good food.

Hidden gem! Incredible dining experience. The lodge is nestled along the river with a pet friendly patio. Superb views, the best wine list we've seen in idaho. House made pasta, meatballs are my hubby's favorite. Toasted ravioli was my favorite app. Trout with mashed potatoes with a lemon beurre blanc sauce. We will be back as much as possible.Food & drinks: Best food in IDAHO

Gorgeous views, amazing dinner….. like amazing….. and the kindest, most helpful staff! My only complaint was our super loud neighbors. Aside from that, this was top tier in customer service and views. Plus super handy to have a delicious restaurant on the property.

Went to eat here. Food wasn't spectacular. On the lower side of average. Apple Streussal consisted of 4 Tbs of apple filling no pastry. If we didn't pay the extra for the ice cream this would be a total flop. Dinner was edible but not for the price. I would recommend Lakeside Lodge or Ponds Lodge down the road.

We were so excited when we saw the gorgeous view from the backdoor. Unfortunately, right after that we noticed the overflowing trash, complete with pizza box (hello, mice!), the brownish red stains on the linens and the fact that all the towels in the bathroom were wet (but folded, like they had taken used towels from the previous stay and just folded them 🤢).When I texted the (owner? Manager? Unclear) she said she would send "Brian" over. Brian responded to us informing him about all of the above with "what do you want me to do about it?" He seemed to then realize his question was a bit ridiculous and offered to get us "dry" (but suspiciously he didn't say clean) towels and take the trash. He did nothing about the dirty linens. It's such a waste, because this location is absolutely beautiful. Sitting on the back porch brings about a feeling of absolute peace. I can see mountains to my right, a babbling stream in front of me, and a cute town to my left. If you want to stay here though, bring your own linens and prepare to clean up after whoever stayed here before.Rooms: Dirty, nice decor, but not cleaned after previous occupant.Safety: Remote check-in was nerve wracking. Door was left unlocked for us with key on table inside. Anyone could have come into the room before we arrived, and we arrived fairly late.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Go read the one star reviews for an accurate perspective of this place. It's a scam. For the price you pay, you do not get what the website advertises. The floors were filthy. The spiderweb had been there awhile. The mattress smelled so bad I could hardly sleep.Do not waste your money here!

This stunning restaurant offered the best dining option in all of Island Park and West Yellowstone, perhaps the best cuisine only to be compared to New York or LA. My husband had the snake river farms ribeye and I had the trout. It was divine. The pasta is house made from scratch, no other place like this exists in Idaho or Montana. With tuna crudo, house made kale Caesar salad, beef carpaccio, house made whipped ricotta. We were shocked this type of cuisine exists here. It is also reasonably priced for the quality and the area. It is a must try!

We went here for dinner, my friends’ food were okay but the fish in my fish and chips was undercooked and tasted horrible. The food was served a hour late.Loved the service though, the server was wonderful and the view of the river was amazing.

Easy drive 25 miles from Yellowstone West entrance. Very comfortable cute/quaint location . The restaurant is affordable and good. All the staff are laid back and will do whatever they can to help you feel comfortable. The guests fly fish very close to their back door. Dog friendly.
