These guys deserve some love!! We popped over for National Hot Dog Day a few weeks ago. They were justifiably popular, which was awesome to see given the construction on 17th. Staff was friendly and all the hotdogs we got were amazing. We didn't realize we had come on a day where some cake came free with a meal. The decor around the restaurant was a lot of fun. This is on our short list of lunch spots with colleagues and clients.

Date of experience: 12/29/23 @10:10 AMI’d never been to Gandolfo’s before and decided to give it a try after a long night of work. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted warmly by one of the workers; the smell of bacon, warm bread, and coffee permeate the air, culminating in a welcoming experience for a new customer. At the register, I informed the friendly woman that I was new and didn’t know what to order. She thanked me for coming to give Gandolfo’s a try, did a little dance with me, and asked what I felt like I was in the mood for. Once giving some details, she recommended the Dagwood sandwich; I’d wanted something with a lot of protein and calories as I’d just gotten off work and the gym. I didn’t catch her name, but I’m sure you will be able to figure out who this spectacular person who helped me was! She so kindly gave me a piece of cake as well, a special touch to an already extremely pleasant interaction.The sandwich itself is very tasty and filling, perfect if you need protein, calories, and a happy belly. I will be returning. Thank you for making my morning better.

Friendly staff, clean, cozy, fair price for what you get. Get a meal on Thursday and get a free pice of moose cake. I like the Dagwood sandwich. Only downside is there select is so massive it’s hard for me to choose what I’m getting each time, I have yet to have a bad sandwich. This summer there is a lot of construction so it’s harder to get to. Worth the effort to go to and not crowded. Fast service

My wife loves her Italian deli’s. She is also a sandwich aficionado, especially when it comes to an authentic Italian sandwich. She absolutely loved this place. Sandwich was spot on. I’m a hot dog lover myself so I was very excited to try the pastrami dog. It did not disappoint. We will definitely be back to try other items in the future

Absolutely amazing! The sandwiches are super flavorful and reasonable in size verses price. They have a large menu that gives a taste of New York, the atmosphere is very deli like. You can actually taste the ingredients on the sandwich without the chemical flavor that you get at subway. I can guarantee there’s something here for everyone without sitting heavy like the run of the mill fast food!Pictured is the NYPD Bleu and the menu

Love this place,the food,and the service. My husband and I eat here often it's our go to place. The staff is so great. I ordered a salad one time and they forgot my vinegar and oil, they went above and beyond to make it right. Very friendly and helpful people over there. And the food and choices are amazing. I would recommend this place over and over. 😁 Thank you Gandolfos for being sooo amazing!!!Vegetarian options: Any sandwich can be turned into a salad. Best in town in my opinion 🙂

It has been a while since we were here. We are so glad we went in. We love the Eastside Egg Salad on sourdough. Staff was very nice and service was great. The sandwich was delicious. We will be coming in more often and trying some of the other items on the menu.

I really enjoy Gandolfo's. There is only one issue I have and it has nothing to do with the food, customer service, or atmosphere. It has to do with their tip jar. I found out that the money in said jar does not go to the employees it goes to the owner or back into the business. When I tip I expect the money to go to the employees that helped me. They only way they get the tips is if you hand the money directly to them. This now makes me question every tip jar I have ever put money in. Please question this now as I have and will not be adding to a tip jar or directly to who helped me.

I love this place, but for some dumb reason, hadn't been there in years. My love is renewed, & I won't go missing again. The establishment itself is bigger than it looks from the outside & is clean, airy, & nice. Staff is friendly & makes great suggestions. The food is delicious, & there are sooooooo many choices besides all the sandwiches like specialty hot dogs, salads (my Greek salad is in the attached pic), & locally made desserts. Added bonus for low carb eaters: they will make any of their subs into a salad...I appreciate that soooooo much!!!! Great franchise for the area!

Five stars. This place is awesome! The lady on the phone was very helpful I think her name was Brittany. The sammich is excellent. It was put together a little sloppy (probably cause its fat) but it was exactly what I wanted! The bread is so soft and yummy so fresh tasting! They gave us cake which I didn't order, just a bonus! We can't wait to try more of their sammiches. I don't normally like Cole slaw but theirs is bomb! This time we got the Dagwood!

I’ve had the pleasure of coming to Gandolfos a few times now. The first time I came, they gave me a free piece of cake. It was delicious.I normally get a pastrami based sandwich, but today I tried the Godzilla (shown in the photograph). It was pretty decent, but it didn’t compare to their pastrami.The service here is always immaculate, answering any questions you may have, things are clean and the food service is pretty quick.10/10 would recommend.

Not a fan of roast beef most days. But the French dip sandwich is profoundly amazing. Bread is soft without becoming mush, flavor profile is subtle and savory, well layered. And the meat melts like butter in your mouth. Staff is friendly and service is amazing. Definitely worth many revisits to explore more of the menu! And don't forget the chocolate mousse!

I have been coming to Gandolfo's for years and they always impress. They know that sandwich bread is a vehicle, it isn't the star of the show. The sandwiches keep very well because they don't get soggy. This might be my favorite sandwich shop and I am a man who knows and loves a good sandwich. I might have had a couple of tastier sandwiches in my travels, but not at this price and not one that travels as well. I used to get a dagwood after working out almost every day in college and that lean protein kept me going.

My absolute FAVORITE sammich shop in Idaho Falls. Everything i have tried here (which is a lot) has been amazing! The people behind the counter are kind and jovial and the food is made fresh to order! SO GOOD.

First time in and it was a 5-star experience. Great quality for the price. Will be coming back. This is the knucklehead sandwich. It was pretty good!
