My dog was literally hit by a car and we walked out with a bill I can live with. We've got a keeper Vet around town!I've gone for all my pets needs! I appreciate that he won't just x-ray or add costs that are unnecessary like a city vet would do. (I'm from the city, I know!) Thank you Owyhee Vet!

Been going here since 2006 way B4 Drue. This year has been just awful. Since Drue doesn't know the latest treatments to help my pet, I guess I'm not allowed to look elsewhere so my dog isn't a cripple!!! Thankfully, Dr Sager over at intermountain pet clinic in eagle is very informed and was able to give me the meds that saved my pet from being a cripple at 2 yrs old but now is not!!! This vet isTruly a big disappointment.

Brought a visibly dying dog in & asked to put him out of his misery (unable to stand, blood coming out of him) and was told we "need to make an appt" instead of helping us end his terrible suffering right then. Had an external mass removed from this dog here and was told it was pointless to biopsy & now he's dead. I've taken my elderly dog in here who had obvious arthritic pain to see if I could get a pain prescription & was only given 6 pills. VERY apathetic and blows you off. Find if you need something routine done & need things done cheap. Been a client on file for several years & couldn't get anyone to give me meds for my goat herd here either. SO dismissive!

I take all of my small animals to them...they are great and don't hurry you out the door...they spend time with you and your pet...and don't charge you an arm and leg like other vets....I have gone to others here in the valley and they charge ridiculous amounts for nothing...and others have misdiagnosed my pets....I would recommend these guys to any and everyone...

I love Owhyee Vet clinic. They are so kind and take excellent care of my animals. Dr. Hummel is an honest vet who will tell you like it is. To top it all off they are an affordable vet clinic. I recommend them to everyone.

We have been bringing our dogs and cats here since moving to the area 7 years ago. We have had great care, help in managing long term issues like diabetes and great yearly and health maintenance for our pets. We have also lost two members of our fur family and would have help with that process other than at Owyhee. They are truly compassionate and caring individuals. Thanks for taking care of our family.

These people have been nothing but kind, loving and supportive. The Dr. Is very knowledgeable. We understand our pets don't live forever and sometimes we must let them go, the kindness of the staff here makes that transition as easy as possible, and we appreciate them.

This review is a long time coming but here I go because I’m still furious with the vet. Took my husky in 2020, then again in 2021. Realized after that second visit that they traumatized my dog. The vet and his assistant were rough with him without cause. No introduction, no petting, they cornered him and pinned him to a wall, pulling so hard they took his collar off. Not once did my dog growl, snarl or bark, let alone give any indication that would warrant such treatment. My dog was so scared after the ordeal, he got on one of the chairs and hid behind me. Then the vet had the audacity to ask if I knew what a brush was cuz of all the hair that came off. My husky was shedding and they had just been rough with him, what was he expecting? I have since taken my husky (and all of my family’s dogs/cats) to another vet where the pet’s experience actually matters.

Very compassionate and caring vet and vet assistant. They don't rush you out of the room. Very reasonable prices. Older front desk woman could be a little nicer. I did have to wait a little over a week for an appointment. I would bring my animals back here though just because of the compassionate, intelligent vet.

Been bringing my pets here for years but they’ve really been great when my dog was pregnant and fitting me for all her appointments! The vet took his time to inform me on what I needed to know as this was my first time having puppies! I definitely knew what to do when they were born after chatting with him and everything went smooth! And the nurses there are always so sweet as well!

My brother passed and he had a small dog in great need of attention. Everyone in this office made him feel at home got him groomed cleaned up, cleaned his teeth. Everyone in this office has the best attitude. Each and everyone of them have the patience best interest at heart. I highly recommend this vet!

They are very good to our animals at a reasonable price. The entire staff is full of kind people. Boarding is affordable. They also do hygiene shaves for cats that can't keep themselves clean.

I've been taking my animals to Owyhee Vet Clinic for over five years. They hospitalized my cat for two weeks two years ago when she developed severe pancreatitis and lost so much blood she couldn't hold her head up. They charged me nearly 1/4th of the price the hospitals in Boise wanted to charge for the exact same treatment. From my Mom's cat with severe asthma to regular check ups, they've been our go to. Everyone is incredibly kind, even when I got a new husky that didn't have manners yet. I highly recommend them!

This vet clinic is by far the best clinic I've ever used. I live in a different state but my father lived in Homedale & recently passed away. He had an older dog that I unfortunately can't keep due to where I live. I took in his dog to have him checked out, groomed, teeth cleaned & let them know of the situation. Not only did they do the things I needed them to do, they didn't charge an arm & a leg & even more importantly, they started giving ideas & reaching out to resources I can use to hopefully find him a very good home. The pup is about 10 yrs old, has some back issues & was a bit depressed due to losing his human but when I picked him up after everything, he was happier than a kid in a candy store. He was playful, running around & was just really happy. Even after having to have 4 teeth pulled! The people at this clinic are the most kind-hearted & caring people. There is no better place you could bring your pet for whatever your needs are.
