We had a blast! The water was ice cold and the hot sun beating down was just right. Great place to take kids.

For your safety and the safety of other campers... The gates are locked from 10 pm to 6 am (what are we afraid of?) ...no fishing allowed in the park... No dogs on the beach....The campgrounds are beautiful but more suitable for folks with ATVs. The bathrooms were the most disgusting that I have ever smelled, I don't know what that is about. There were cows roaming all over the campgrounds which was disturbing, who is "packing it out" for the cows? No dogs on the beach (for my safety) but cows no problem.Closest fishing was tools Moose Creek Reservoir, we moved camping trip to Moose Creek Reservoir.

Took my dog through on a walk in December. Nice and quiet, just us and the deer.

We have been going here for years. Access to water is great and so much fun. The campground is clean and well cared for. The pricing is confusing though. We had conflicting answers about whether it was $12/day or $12/night. After some back and forth we figured out it was $12/night which is a lot more reasonable and well worth it. The group tent sites are great for family gatherings.....and in the middle of July we experienced no mosquitoes!

(We did not camp; only drove through.). Bathroom was very clean. Camp sites spacious. Fun to see the cows. Ooops -- be careful of the cow pies.

I love Laird park! I have many fond memories with family and friends over the years at this park. I think 1992 was the first time I came, I was there this week in 2023, and it will continue to be a favorite camping, swimming, and picnic spot for friends and family. My only suggestion if you picnic or camp, is to set a yellowjacket trap up away from where you are eating. There were lots of yellowjackets.

Awesome overnight for nomads with dogs. No one was here, the only weird thing was a sign saying not to use the water for safety & they lock the gate at night for safety

Two large loops. One on the east side was more tree cover, didn't seem as if sunlight got in much. The west side was minimal trees, which we like for our solar panels. Pit toilets, well maintained. Tables and benches need a face lift but not too bad. Lots of water stations throughout park, it was COLD and delicious!! We stayed about 3 days and had the west side all to ourselves, which was awesome. Little swimming area further west from us but we avoided as there was sign regarding "swimmer's itch". About 15 minutes from small town for supplies.

Just stayed here the third week of September, and it was great. I've been coming here for a long time and it's understandably busy during the peak season. The reason is that is it simply one of the best, most beautiful locations for a campground in North Idaho! The east loop has mostly level parking aprons with quite a few double spaces, but past that it is laid out in a rustic, old school manner. Most sites have plenty of shade, the amount of privacy is variable. There is a generous dose of actual nature here; a river, lots of dirt including dirt paths, bushes, big and very old trees. A real downside is that there are only two sets of bathrooms for a pretty large area, not good for those of us who have "been around a while". Thus the four stars. There is an old dam and "sorta sandy" swimming area, another camp area, and nice day use area over on the west side. There is a separate swim area for dogs, unfortunately upstream of the human swim area!If you are a "city person" expecting paved paths. hot showers, and WiFi, or if you are afraid of a few insects, this place may not be for you.My advice is, enjoy this wonderful little slice of the real Idaho experience while you still can. Soon enough, the USFS will decide that there are "too many dangerous trees" (Read: "We could make a bundle out of logging this area") and bring in loggers to totally trash the place like they have Kit Price and Big Hank up on the Coeur d' Alene River. Read the latest reviews from those campgrounds--it's shocking. They will also probably decide that the swimming area is "unsanitary", the dam is "destroying the ecosystem", the trails are "causing too much erosion". Then they will proceed to turn it into another boring, mediocre, cookie cutter campground like too many of them these days. Lets not forget that the rates will likely double. Ah...progress!

This is a wonderful National Forest campground, meticulously maintained; sanitary toilet, well planned units. Only problem we encountered on the day we used it was yellow jackets. I have never seen so many. A visit a few days earlier didn't reveal the problem. But, when the food came out, so did the jackets. Be prepared with several bee traps. Even then, no promises.

Nice campground, easy to get to with lots of good campsites. Palouse river flows right through the campground and there is a designated swim area. However there is now fishing in the campground

Great area to hunt and camp. Not the camp itself, but a network of four wheeler trails to ride on. Beautiful country.
