I’m 14 months into construction on my house and I must say that Ace has been invaluable - Todd sourced a unique piece of equipment for a friend who wanted to gift me something; Angie is awesome and remembers my name and always has a smile and last week I met their son Cash at the register - there is nothing like buying from a family-owned shop. I’ve had nothing but great experiences there (yep, even with returns when it was MY goof up). I can Amazon a bunch of stuff, but not my hardware needs. Nice to have great folks who you can rely on - It’s why we live here!

One of their managers, Say, stayed on the phone with several different suppliers for over AN HOUR until we got what we needed, and she did so with such professionalism and grace that we were simply stunned. always great have what I need. Usually a fair price considering the distance to a Lowes or home depot. Within a dollar to two of them. don't have the selection but for quick trips they have what I have needed and can order as well. Will continue to shop here.

Every time I come here I grab a bag of popcorn and go shopping. They have a good selection of tools, hardware, paint, ect. They even have a rental service which is outstanding

I honestly wish that I could give this place a lower rating. Every single time I've gone here, this store has been absolutely useless and the employees not helpful. My first experience was to get a part for our toilet. The employee gave my husband said part but when we got home we found out it had a hole which caused water to leak everywhere. Has to be a fluke right? We go back, exchange said part and come home to find out it's the wrong size! We bring it back along with the old part we had and were told by the employees they don't carry the size that we need because it's not a common size. We go to L.L. Green's where not only did they show us where to find the part, but showed us that it was the right size, AND demonstrated that it worked efficiently. Did I mention that the part we had was the most common size there is out there according to L.L. Green's?Our second time here, I tried to find a plug for our kids' bathtub. I looked far and wide with absolutely no one asking me if I needed help. I wait in line while the employees chit chatted about nonsense. When they finally decided to assist me, I'm immediately greeted with a shake of the employee's head. I didn't even have a chance to ask for assistance before I was told no. I decided to ask anyway and was told "Did you try to look where our bathroom stock is at?" Yeah perhaps the 15 minutes I walked up and down that aisle along with the other aisles. I told him yes and he said "That's where all our bathroom supplies are at. You don't see it, we don't have it." Didn't even offer to go look with me. I figure a hardware store should carry hardware supplies right? So I go "You don't carry any bath plugs whatsoever?" He says "No."I'm never going to try to shop here again. Not worth my business or time. They don't know their arse from their elbow. If they do know anything, they don't bother to offer their assistance. Go to L.L. Green's. They know what's up AND are helpful.

I was passing through the area on an adventure motorcycle and stopped in looking for some help fabricating a make due kickstand for my bike. Employee Jay was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me accomplish my task. I had a very positive experience at this ACE and highly recommend purchasing from this store. Ask for Jay and he will help you. Btw my “MacGyver” kickstand works great! Thanks Jay!

The last time I was at Idaho Lumber, three different people helped me and I was just getting little hose parts. I checked a price on a pruning tool that was less than Amazon's. I've found consistently good prices and competent, ready to help staff.

Great place to get just about anything you need. The only reason I'll no longer shop here is the extreme unprofessionalism of the ceo. Taking personal insecurities and emotions out on innocent people in an ugly way. Trying to get someone fired at a company with no relation to idaho lumber because they have no sense of humor. Everyone else here is great!!

I went to Idaho Lumber to find something specifically! I really didn't think they would have it! Going to a Family Reunion and needed some gifts, and found their Yeti products! Just what I was looking for! I couldn't have been happier! It was under 10 minutes, in, found it, bought it, all done, and out the door! 😎

This is what hardware stores are supposed to be like. A bit more expensive than Lowe's or HD, but at least the lumber isn't absolute trash. The guys out back usually help you go through the wood to find straight, square boards. I'll pay the extra few bucks here than give any more money to Lowe's or HD
