Mairyn did an excellent job on my Golden Retriever Duke! I’m so thankful I found her, as I will never go anywhere else again!! The first time my dog wasn’t scared when I picked him up from a groomer! He was very happy and his normal self! That lets me know that she did a great job, and he wasn’t scared of her!

Both of my Aussies were in a desperate need for a good springtime haircut. After letting their hair get quite long and loaded with dirt and mud from playing in the mountains, I decided enough was enough.I called on a Tuesday around 4pm and left a message to get my dogs cut. I was promptly responded to by Wednesday morning and had an appointment for the very next day. The price for everything was around $50 for each dog. They got a good bath, nails trimmed, hair dematted, deshedded, and a very nice trim all around. They literally look like show dogs now. Too bad they will be back in the mud in no time. :DSo for something that would have taken me 3-4 hours to do, I was able to drop them off and let a true professional handle it. The groomer answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable when it came to everything to do with pets. They all did a great job on my pets.Thanks and they will definitely be seeing my two aussies(Captain and Casper) again.

This is my favorite groomer in all of Boise. They do a fantastic job and we're able to accommodate my two large Labrador dogs. They even put a cute little flower on the female's collar. I ended up leaving the flower on all the time. They've always been very professional and very good at communication.

Our sweet 12 year old lab has visited Dog Barber regularly for many years. The staff at Dog Barber are wonderful to our dog (and to her humans!) … our dog absolutely LOVES them! When arriving in the parking lot she immediately perks up, and she can hardly wait to go inside to see them. They take the best and most loving care of her. She comes home beautifully cleaned, well cared for, and with a bow or scarf (which she proudly displays) on her collar! I can’t give a higher recommendation for a more kind, caring, capable or reliable dog groomer. Thank you to the whole team at Dog Barber!

This was our first time, a trusted friend highly recommended Kristen and I couldn’t be happier! My little guy is VERY anxious around other dogs and new people, but he did fantastic. He looks better than I’ve ever seen him look, she even sent me this darling picture! She’s wonderful!

Edited Review, still three stars. I left an honest review. I was not rude; I was precise in what happened with my dog's last visit, but it was taken far too personally. Danielle Fry, possibly one of the owners, took it upon herself to leave MY business a review with 1 star and a review saying, "Full of lies. Stay away. Do not recommend." which is wrong on so many levels. We are a remodeling company and have not conducted any remodel business for Danielle, so her review was purely out of spite and revenge. That is absolutely NUTS. I will not do business with someone who tries to intimidate others and cannot have an adult conversation (via reply or email) in response to my 3-star review of her grooming services. Unbelievable and very rude. I have removed my written review, but the three stars remain because this is poor customer service!

Recently took my two mini goldendoodles here and the groomers did a great job. My one doodle gets matted very easily, and they did a great job cutting her hair. From my brief interaction with the staff, I can tell they really cares about animals :).Looking forward to taking them back there.

They can usually get you in pretty quickly for a quick nail trim no problem. I was able to slide in on a cancelation for my dog to get a groom but that would have been the only time for almost a month.I wasn't sure what to expect from our first trip to the groomers but I think they did a pretty good job. I have a German Shepard who I'm sure was a little tough to handle and even though there was still some hair shedding I figured it impossible to fully de shed this guy anyway. And the price was reasonable in my opinion.

As with most service providers, the experience depends on the individual who served you. I can vouch for Debbie's kindness and she has earned my trust.My pup is just a year old and had terrible anxiety about cars and bathing, even though I got her at age 6 weeks. She's a mini Aussie/mini Poodle with crazy long hair, which was probably not the best choice for the farm. 😵 Too late, she's my love and we adapt.Over the past year, I take her to the barbershop and bathe her myself. It was a little more expensive to bathe are there than Northwest Pets, but Debbie was kind and instructive, and I never felt judged when little Holly whined and howled.Since then, Holly is doing better and I've watched Debbie groom countless other dogs. She's kind and patience and never rushing the animal at a pace that overwhelms them. Often times there are other dogs around to help distract from their grooming.Debbie has earned my trust and I've made little Holly's first appointment for a true bath and trim tomorrow. It's a big step for both the dog and myself, and likely wouldn't have happened had it not been from my experience with her over the past year.Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Best grooming my dog has ever ever had! I highly recommend Dani. My dog is a senior. She is half great pyrenees and half border collie. She has a very difficult coat! I love how happy she was when we arrived and how beautiful she looked!

Price was average for the area. I was happy they were able to get us in quickly. I asked for a summer cut on our long-haired dachshund. I felt they cut him way too close to his skin. And around his ears was very jaggedy. The staff was cordial, but I wouldn’t say very friendly. I’ve gone to better dog barbers, but I was thankful they were able to get us in so quickly.

I have had the best service here!! Whether I’ve scheduled grooms with the groomers or come in and done a quick bath on my dogs myself. The shop is always clean and the staff are always very friendly and attentive! If you need any help at self service, they are right there to assist!!! I have recommended this shop to all my friends and family! Thank you Dog Barber Shop! It’s hard to find quality groomers/shops to trust your fur babies with and they’ve gone above and beyond my expectations!

We have taken our dogs here a few times over the past year and the grooming has gone from "good enough" to horrible.Our most recent, and certainly last time, thegroomers cut off our dogs whiskers!Never again. Do not recommend.

We had trouble finding someone who could hand strip out griffon. They did an amazing job, got us in fairly quickly, and were extremely friendly. My dog is very timid and was definitely nervous when we got there but was all tail wags when I picked her up. I could not recommend this place more especially if you have a WPG.

I cannot speak to their full service dog grooming. This review is for self service. The grooming area was very small, the table was not adjustable (and was much too tall), the clippers were dull, and they didn’t offer an apron and I left covered in dog hair. If you are going to shave your dog yourself, I would recommend Do It Yourself Doggy Detail. I decided to try this place and I regret it. It was also more expensive.

DANNY is hands down the one to go to!!!! I have a pit Bull that has always been scared/afraid to go to the groomers, until we meet Danny. We have been coming here for over 3 years now give or take. She is so kind Patient and caring we’re all animals and always goes above and beyond for “Brandi” we absolutely love you Danny!!!

We are very unhappy with this grooming. We had 1pm appt. she was not done until 4:30. We asked for a puppy cut. They cut her fur clear down, not our request. They charged us $35 more than the last grooming we had. We have been going there for 7 years. NEVER again. She started shaking when we went in the door & now we know why.Do not go there. They do not listen to your instructions. Our little dog is devastated & so are we

They were amazing! I called shortly after they opened and they were able to get my pup in right away for a bath and to take care of his butt glands! My dog smells amazing and was all tail wags when I picked him up!

I went in to wash my dog. The help was minimal as best. The dog tub was filthy, filled with the previous dogs hair. The helper handed me this huge gallon jug for the shampoo to use on my dog. It was mostly water and the jug was unmanageable to pour on my dog. When I poured it in my hand it just poured out - like water.The experience was terrible. The shop is dirty and gross. The workers were too busy eating Sonic to help with the ladder to get my dog in and out of the tub and get the blow dryer.Zero stars. Awful experience.

I’ve had my long hair Doxie in about 4 times and always had excellent results and service. It’s very difficult to get an appointment any more because they are so busy.
