This is a great small business that is absolutely worthwhile to patronize. They sell a lot of different things, but I’ve really only been here to pick up animal feed. Their selection is pretty good. They have custom mix formulas to really help your animals nutrition depending on the animal or the time of year. They have feed for your chickens, goats, ducks, cats, dogs, pigs, horses, and cows. If you have a question, it’s best to give them a call. We’ve been quite pleased with what we get here and will continue to visit.

I have been feeding their 4H mix to my steers each year and have had great results. My wife loves shopping here including for her chicken feed. We live near Rigby and drive here. It's a drive for us and is off the highway a ways but the products are consistently good

Claude has a great selection of feed for all kinds of critters. He has plants in the spring. They are the best around to get baby chick as well. Also probably the best guy in East Idaho to ask questions about feed.

I had heard many great things about Firth Mill and finally had the opportunity to visit the location. The feed options they offer are great and cost effective. Their knowledge of their products and how to use them to improve the health and outcomes of our animals we very helpful. I look forward to visiting them again and continuing to learn from the resources they offer. It brought back the small town experience of visiting the feed store as a kid. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Beware of the big old man behind the register. He seems very knowledgeable and I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but he will over charge you if you're not paying attention. I went in there to buy three chicks and a small bag of starter feed. He charged me for five chicks. I went back in to get a refund and he only refunded me for one chick, not two. I was too tired to argue with him at that point so I just let him keep the money and left. You'll understand what I'm talking about when you go there. Good luck. Bring your calculator.

Becoming one of my favorite local farm and garden stores. Excellet survival rates in their chicks (compared to CAL or mail order). Good deals on root starts (strawberries, asparagus, etc). Also get bales of hay and straw there. Recently bought their feed mix for the first time and so far so good. Wish they had more organic or non-gmo options. Always have help on hand to help load. Their Saturday morning farmer's market is also nice.

Best animal feed around and prices. Protein levels are much higher in grains and food then the box stores. Also knowledgeable on animals and what to give to gain weight or a different desired outcome.

I usually go to Cal Ranch for my feed. Last year I bought some chicks at Cal Ranch. More than half of them died over night. The following day we went back for replacements. We were later given 3 chicks which all had leg problems. This year we bought more chicks from Cal Ranch, half died again. Went back for replacements, they all died. We had a suggestion to try firth grain mill for chicks. We bought 6, all 6 are still alive after a month! I know where I will be getting my feed and chicks!

Small shop but great prices. They have 100 pound bags of layer feed and 80 pound bags of meat bird feed. Chicks can be ordered and the prices are better than anyone else in the area. Make sure you call ahead to see when the chicks are expected.

Good place for picking up chicks. Has quite a variety of feeds, chick supplies and garden seeds. The place is like a Time Machine. When you walk in you are looking at what things were like in the 50' and 60's.

This is a zero star review. Buyer beware! I bought 83 bales of hay that were supposed to be 80 pounds a bale average and half of the bales only averaged 50 pounds, although to the eye they all appear the same. We asked to weigh them while we were there but it was too inconvenient for them at the time. We took their word for it that they weighed what they claimed. They refuse to fix the problem. Dishonest scales from a dishonest company. Take your business elsewhere.

Last year I called and asked for black austrolorps. The guy said they had them. When I got there I told the owner they weren't what I ordered. He shoved them in a box and said they were Black Austrolorps. But they were Americanas.This year my mom called and asked for a dozen barred Plymouth rocks. When she got there he was giving 1/2 of the chicks he promised her to someone else.When I said something of this in a phone call while ordering a pig feeder, the owner argued about it, then gave us a feeder so full of grease we had to spend an hour wiping it out before using it. And the paint on it was scraped up.Instead of improving his customer service the old fart just got meaner.I've had it with his ornery ways.
