They do a very good job of taking care of pets, they need all the help you can give. We have adopted 2 dogs from them, they both were great pets. 👍 please help them to take care of these foods and cats. And help with items and money. And the best way to help is to adopt.

We adopted a seven year old kitty a few weeks ago. Everyone was wonderful and the kitty is settling in nicely. (She was sleeping and I woke her up.)

Full disclosure...my husband and I both volunteer at PAL. We love to foster special dogs. We have been fostering, Frankie, aka Phantom for several weeks. He has been with PAL for over 1 year--a long timer. Since he is slow to warmup to strangers, no one EVER gives him a second look. We knew he would settle in our home and would be a very loving and loyal boy. He would be a perfect fit for someone without other pets, as he enjoys your full devotion. We are trying to get the word out about how wonderful this guy is. So if you know of anyone, please tell them about Frankie. He is so deserving of a forever home!

Awesome place for your pet is you can't keep them and they have a great friendly staff that can help you re-home your animal if needed and a great pet food pantry

Great place for finding your next furry friend. Clean and great staff and prices. They are a smaller rescue and I got my new family member there and he is a malamute and I only had to pay $175 for him while other places were $500 and up. My daughter volunteered out there until we moved away, she loved it there and didn't care that she actually had to do something. She had a wonderful time there with the best staff ever. You want a furry friend that doesn't break the bank, this is the place. The $175 also included all his shots and getting neutered. You will be happy you went and they do have a website you can go to to look at what they have. Here is a picture of my new fur baby down below.

I just adopted a wonderful Shepherd/Lab mix from them. They offered to let me foster the dog for a week to see if it would be a good fit. It only took a couple of days to realize this dog is an absolute keeper and is one of the smartest and sweetest dogs I've ever been around

It was wonderful. Someone was there adopting a dog, but that day they were giving away pet tags that could be personalized. I did 2 and my dogs are personally wearing them.

I'm only giving 1 star because I have too. We brough home our kitten from PAL on Feb 18th. When I was at the facility it had a very strong pet urine odor but when we saw our little guy we fell in love. I asked the staff specifically if any of the cats had any health issues more than once and I was told none of them did and that they were all in good health. I was also given very little paperwork on him along with tags showing shots he had received and was told that he was good to go for a year. When we brought him home, he was itching himself a lot. I brushed him and in the fur on the brush was a very excessive amount of white flakes along with bloody scabs. I sent an email to them with pictures and told them about his scratching. They said they were going to send me a topical solution to put on him which will help with the scratching and his dry skin. I still have not received it. Then we noticed that the scratching did not stop and he started biting quite a bit. He also was sneezing and just overall was not ok. I took him to the vet to find that he did not receive all of his shots and that his white flakes and scabs from scratching are due to the conditions from the facility. We first attempted to bath him to try and help get some of the itching and flaking away. But unfortunately that did not work. We had to see the vet again and they inspected for ringworm and found that he has a severe case of burrowing mites. Which are from P.A.L. and means all of the cats in that facility have them as well. We have tried one treatment which did not work and now will need an injection treatment. Until they are able to get him in at the end of this month, I have had to buy several different ointments and home remedy items to put on him to try and help him. I have spent well over $500 if you include the vet, creams and ointments, special shampoos and wipes, and fish oils to put in his food to try and ease his suffering. We have had him a total of 27 days. I have been emailing P.A.L. with updates on his condition, not only do they ignore what is going on with him but also do not acknowledge that they lied to me on more than one occasion. They also have said they will not reimburse me for anything, not even half of my costs and have only said that I can bring him back because they have a forever return policy. There is no way I would ever bring him back there! That would be cruel to him and I feel so sad for all the other pets in that facility. We will keep him and continue to find a solution for his health issues.

They staff was friendly and helpful when my wife and I contacted them about a 6 month old black kitten named Gidget as a "buddy" for our senior girl Spooky. So far so good, no flying fur or bullying from either one.

We saw a dog we were very interested in, read his bio, said he was good with cats and kids went to meet him,he was great with our 4 kids.I followed up on his status and got a call back from Chris who told us that due to his being abused in the past they were worried about bite liability with how many children we have. I was so disappointed as we fell in love with his sweet demeanor.

I stopped by to deliver a big dog bed that won't fit in my small house. I bought my dog one half that size. Anyway, Kevin gave me a tour of all the dogs on site. They were so awesome, especially Jack and Jill. Belgium German Shepherds (I can't spell Malinoids sp??). I would encourage anyone wanting a dog, and who wouldn't, to adopt, adopt, adopt from Pet Adoption.

5 stars for politeness of the volunteer speaking with me. 1 star for cat policy that requires all cats be indoor only. For some cats this is cruel. Temperament and outdoor environment should matter. Intelligent evaluation should be respected.

This animal rescue is non profit and they do a crack up job taking care of the animals even though they are on a budget. Please consider them if you are thinking of adopting a new pet into your family. I have adopted 3 dogs from them and they have given us so much love. They also have cats just waiting for a loving home.

A small non-kill volunteer run shelter. They definitely care very much about the dogs and cats and will keep them until the perfect home is found. Gem County is lucky to have such an awesome place for their homeless dogs and cats

Very strong male cat spray odor in the front area, had to put my hand over my nose. In one cat area they had a pregnant cat in a very small cage pushed up next to another cage with a cat in it and only a light blanket separating them....the momma cat looked very distressed. Perhaps a larger crate in a room all her own would have been more appropriate.
