Rest rooms seem to be less clean as time goes on and cant get hot breakfast or lunch. Many times we want a hot breakfast sandwich and case is empty. Hit and miss on hot lunch.

Has a restroom separate from the convenience store. It's been clean and stocked appropriately when I've been by. Lobby has pay phones and a drinking fountain.

We stop at this rest area every time we travel to Washington. It is clean and there are plenty of stalls. The attached store is great too.

We have stopped at the Winchester Rest Stop on two occasions while travelling through northern Idaho. The rest stop is in the same building as the store, but has a separate entrance and is not required to be locked when store is closed. We stopped at 9:30pm on a Thursday, and the store was closed. The rest stop was not unlocked. We had previously stopped during the day on Christmas Day (2020) while travelling and it was also locked. If this was a gas station bathroom that was dependent on the store being open I would expect them to be closed, but when I see the blue "rest stop" signs, I assume the state is paying them to maintain the rest stop. If they are not open 24 hours -- that is not acceptable for a public rest stop.

I've never personally been inside, we use this as a meeting spot for our son. But on the outside looks very nice and clean. Love the fact the have pet area to walk your pets.

Great for a short trip from Lewiston to camp. Lake is small but fishing for trout there is great. Would be a great place for kids to fish as you catch one on almost every cast. Has full hookups and dry camping down by the lake and yurts as well.

Just that it was here and I was really ready to climb in the back of my SUV and get some sleep. There is a gas station here and a small store but they were closed when I arrived at 8;30 pm. The only restrooms I found are locked.

I don't hate Winchester Rest area. Quite the contrary!! I've never found the rest rooms any way, but CLEAN! And I try to leave them that way when I leave.

Idaho has some of the prettiest scenery in the United States. However Montana is more beautiful. the rest stops in Idaho are awesome! They have informational signs and they're just really cool.
