So happy to be involved with HIAS!!! The people involved in making this place a reality are amazing. I have the honor of knowing the founder, Tirzah Stuart, and have watched this place go from a dream to a reality. The building and grounds are great, and with donations and volunteer work it's getting better and better. There are few shelters, even less no-kill, anywhere in the county..... and so so many animals in need. They rescue all types of domesticated animals, pets, and livestock, from all kinds of situations. They offer education, and assist with low-cost Spay and Neuter.... The heart and dedication it takes to go in and save abused, neglected, and abandoned animals is solid, compassionate, honorable, and hard working. They also help re-home well loved animals who's family's hit circumstances that require giving up their beloved animals. They regularly rescue animals beyond state lines, from kill shelters, or hoarding situations, and ensure veterinary care, as well as emotional healing takes place, so the animals can be adopted by loving family's, or placed in a permanent livestock sanctuary. They are a non profit organization that relys solely on private donations to keep going. They create fundraisers regularly, are registered on Amazon Simile, and work with artists and craftspeople (such as myself) who donate services and sell goods and donate part of the proceedes to the shelter, rehabilitation, and rescue efforts that they do. They also offer daycare and pet boarding services, have a gift shop, and sell dog food to try to make financial ends meet. I've met so many wonderful people while volunteering and fund raising for this much needed animal sanctuary. I've assisted on 2 rescues while vacationing in Idaho, as I live in another state but make it a goal to volunteer at HIAS when near, and support them via fundraisers and through donations of my art and other works when far. As a matter of fact, and yes I'm totally bragging here ;) I had the honor of having my artwork and design selected for their official logo, by their unanimous board members, prior to the actual facility being built!! I've also designed T-shirts and other items in my efforts to support their mission and help save lives. Most importantly I met my perfect kitty and adopted her, Freya, last year. Thank you HIAS, Founder, Board Members, Staff, and Volunteers, for helping and saving the lives of creatures who cannot speak out, or save, themselves. What you do is needed in this world.... If you are reading this and looking for a rescue animal know that they will find the right fit for you, cat, dog, bunny, bird, horse, goat, peacock, pot-belly pig.... You name it, they will help you find the right animal that needs you too!!! And always, if you have some spare change, talent, or time, please get in contact with them and help support their cause with a donation in whatever way you can. The cause is worth it. The people making it happen are real, and the work they due is so needed in this world.

Had Emmit boarded and he looks healthy and happy.Last time I boarded here I had to be on location at a certain time. This time the manager is onsite and I was able to pick him up when I got back in town.

Fees from kenneling are reasonable and used to support rescue and shelter for other animals. Vey clean and well run. Large fenced areas for dogs to run around outside. My dogs love it here.

They rely on donations and volunteers yet do everything they can to help literally every type of animal in need. God bless their hearts. Anybody out there need to feel like they're making a difference reaching your pocket and donates to this company because your money will save the lives of animals literally.

Very friendly staff! We put an app in for a family dog, but so did several others! I LOVE how they interview references and do their research to be sure the animals get the best homes... Had to come back and edit. Sad to say, they did not call my references. They said they chose someone who is home more and can provide solid consistent training. My schedule is flexible, theres ALWAYS an adult home. We have a fence, he doesnt.

This place is terrific! I had stopped in several times with my dog to meet dogs and to chat. I decided to adopt an adorable puppy, the last of four to be adopted. The people who worked here are kind, dedicated, and the shelter is SO clean! Please...if you're thinking about adopting a dog or cat, go to HIAS first.

This is a brand new, wonderfully clean facility. The staff seems very compassionate and helpful. It's my understanding that they are currently only able to help with dogs & Cats but have future intentions of being able to intake horses also.

They are fairly new and need to work on indoor outdoor access for the dogs. They have a wonderful adoption percentage. I do not give out 5 stars very easily but loved the staff and may raise my rating on my next visit.

Passionate people at this nonprofit! They also offer pet boarding. They are dedicated to the animals and find appropriate loving homes for those in need. Highly recommend adopting or fostering from them and supporting their efforts!
