This store seriously needs management that runs more than one cashier at night, when the day shift has 4 employees running around during the day, and still only 1 cashier even with over 5 customers standing in line. The evening it's worse there is 1 cashier, running the entire store. They get no breaks, no bathroom breaks, and with lines of over 5 people, and for disabled people, standing there is painful. Every time we ask for another cashier, this store refuses and says there is no one else, but we sure see them in the aisle in groups chatting during the day only. This store needs to realize customers are priorities not there chatting and stocking shelves and ignoring those customers. .

Charley was awsome!! You could tell he was having a bad day. He still had a smile on. Then my kids was asking for quarters for the machine but I didn't have any. With a big smile on his face he handed my kids a quarter for the machine. They were so happy my youngest even said there are still good people out in the world and I agree!!! That made his day to just see my kids smile!!! Thank you Charley we will be coming in more often!!!

Worst store ever! Real poor customer service, I had to ask a worker there if she worked there because she was in sweats, no uniform, no name tag for one and when she replied she didn't say "yes how can I help you" instead gave me a dirty look and nodded her head yes. Then when I was done shopping she rang my things up with a hamburger in one hand literally taken bites of her hamburger while ringing up my items. I don't need to tell her hey put your hamburger down and be professional I am not her boss but she could tell by my face I was disgusted. I just couldn't believe this employee, never shopping here again.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! If I could give zero stars I would. The entire staff was extremely rude. They had attitudes the entire time they were helping me INCLUDING the managers. One manager even answered her phone while I was checking out with her. They were screaming across the store for each other and no one could be found because over half the staff was outside smoking and socializing. Overall awful experience. I will never shop there again!!

The store and staff are doing a amazing job they are always helping me with my every need every need I now use family dollar exclusively Albertsons never give me a lot of help like family dollar does please use family dollar and the service you receive their is super go shopping for whatever you need and you will want to shop their all the time.

I went in for a few items, 4/3/2020, when at the cash register, I was asked by the sales clerk if I would like to purchase a candy bar for their contest. I replied "no thank you, not today". the clerk asked in a rather loud voice "oh, is it because of your teeth"? (i wasn't wearing my dentures, for personal reasons). I said "no, its because I am diabetic", she replied "oh, well I see you splurged on some Cadbury Eggs" My reply to her was that they were for my grand daughter for Easter. Her questions were very intrusive and unnecessary. I shouldn't have to explain myself. Not Cool~

Family Dollar is perfect if you're on an extremely tight budget. The prices are usually more than reasonable and they do have a decent selection of household goods. It's probably not the place you'd shop if your well off: but it's extremely convenient for those who don't earn the most. I'd recommend it for saving money.

I love the Family Dollar Store in Caldwell. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is clean.Not so for the parking lot. It is filthy and needs to be resurfaced. It makes for a very unattractive introduction to this place of business. There needs to be waste receptacles on either side of the front door. Stepping out of my car into a dirty diaper isn't very welcoming and tripping on loose gravel caused by too many cars leaking oil over the years isn't good. Leaves and trash are built up in the corners of the lot and the landscaping in front is a mess.You can do better than this Family Dollar!
