This is a little late in coming but I wanted to give a great review to American Rooter and Drain. They sent Jason out 3 weeks ago to clear a tub drain in my upstairs bathroom. He not only took care of the drain, but he checked all of our other drains to make certain we didn't have any clogs in them. I was happy to hear that our plumbing looks good even after 10 years and also he went into our crawl space and checked for any leaks there. I am very happy with the service Jason Stoddard gave me!You now have a customer for life!

1/16/24 update! Jason called to help make things right, so I am increasing my rating to 4 stars. He professionally listened to my concern and didn’t try to defend or justify the actions of the company. To make matters better, they even refunded the money I paid. Even though I still feel they are expensive, Jason went above and beyond to do his best to make things right! Thanks, Jason!I called because they are the “home of the $59 drain clean”. When the tech Travis called he told me because it’s a mainline, that it would be over $1400. I’ve had many plumbing drains cleaned in the past 30+ years, but never have I been quoted anywhere close to that amount (the most was maybe $200!). I seriously thought he was joking! Travis told me it’s due to the fact that they had to use a hydro jet machine that costs $50,000. He tried to high pressure me, and among other things, he said if we didn’t get it done now, with the storm coming in, we’d be lucky to get anyone back out anytime soon. And, I was still charged a $59 service fee! I felt that the whole experience was pretty unprofessional.

Justin arrived at my house put on protective covers on his feet and proceeded to get to work. Justin was informative and very cordial and easy to talk to regarding my clogged sink. Justin cleared my clogged drain at a very reasonable price. I would reccomend American Rooter for any drains that need to be cleared.

I had America Router come out to give me a bid to finish up a kitchenette in my barn. I had received a quote about 18 months ago to do the whole thing for $3,000. I didn't want to pay that much so I completed 2/3s of it on my own. I decided that I didn't have time to finish things up and I asked American Router to give me a quote. I knew that prices had gone up a little in the last 18 months but since I had already done 2/3s of it I figured it would offset the price difference. The guys took 2.5 hours to look at my tiny kitchenette area - Then they had to call another guy to come and look at it. Finally they gave me a price of $8,000. I literally laughed out loud. I got ahold of Executive Plumbing a little while later and he quoted me $1,500, and completed the job for closer to $1,400.If you are going to use American Router please get a second opinion. Odds are American Router is way overpriced!
