Gentleman I spoke to on the phone remembers the family pup from the last time she visited and was very nice and caring about her and how her family was doing. They were also very helpful with our needs and caring about our furry family that is in their care.

I LOVE this place. More importantly, my dogs love this place. They are simply amazing. Always asking how my babies are doing and genuinely happy to see them when I board them. I know my pups are safe and happy and I don't have to worry. And I love that they come home smelling just like I left them. They are in a clean and healthy environment. Kudos to The Dog House. I will not board elsewhere.

I have had my dog Clyde stay here twice, they are very welcoming, remember Clyde and he always seems to enjoy his time here. In fact, he appears depressed when I take him home! HahaThing I like best about the dog house, they always seem to be able to accommodate me even when I don’t plan well ahead of my trips out of town. Thanks Dog House!

The Dog House has always come thru when I've needed to board my dog Sedona. Especially a couple times when I needed to fly out of state with little notice due to family health. Their prices are reasonable, especially in comparison to other boarding kennels! I had peace of mind knowing my dog Sedona is well and lovingly cared for until I return. They were understanding when the Airline misconnected me delaying my return. I highly recommend The Dog House!

I haven’t used the day care or training services, but I wanted to provide a review on a treat I recently purchased from Maggie’s Bakery at The Dog House. The cake was super reasonable in terms of price and very cute! I highly recommend to all the parents out there (like me), that want to celebrate their pet’s birthday! We feed our dog a very strict diet, and they were super transparent about what ingredients go into the cake. Give them a try!

I've been taking my dog here since I moved to Boise, ID. It has been about 4 months, my dog Loves to go there and all their staffs are very kind and thoughtful . The owners, Linda & Richard, I can't thank them enough for helping me out with my circumstances when I was having hard time for keeping my dog with me. They really love dogs!!Anyways, I would strongly recommend The Dog House for whom looking for clean and trustworthy doggie day care and boarding service in Boise, ID.

I dropped my boxer-american bulldog mix that we've had for a week that came from the Humane Society. I was nervous about leaving her with strangers, but quickly was impressed with their confidence in her. She's not ready to just hang out with the dogs and they have a plan for introducing her so she's not too nervous. I love that I wasn't walking my dog into a room full of strange dogs. The control factor really impressed me.

We have used The Doghouse for 9 years. Originally they trained dogs which out Doberman Shepard...from then on we try to get our dobie and our other GSD to their daycare at least twice a week. They owners and employees are laid back but they love and know dogs very well.Even Caruso the celebrity daschound has stayed over night. This place is part of our own house and their prices are great!***** Five star.

Boarded my pup for a week while we were out of town. She came home happy, healthy, and well behaved. She had just been spayed and had her dew claws removed, so she still had stitches, and they were very accommodating even with the "special needs," emptying the swimming pool and such before letting her out to keep the stiches dry. Will definitely use them again on the future.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Dog House. My puppy loves to go there and the staff has been warm and inviting . The first day I called so many times and I received positive feedback and was encouraged to call as much as I wanted . Justin answers my emails in a timely manner and is always friendly , I would encourage anyone to try them out !

Tried taking my pit to their training class and was very unimpressed. She had been abused and was a special case, but was not at all aggressive. He assured me that it was fine to bring her to class and that she would be worked with and we would learn her limitations. When she actually came to class, the trainer despised her from the beginning. She would sit still for most of the class (and would whimper on and off throughout) but was not bad. Just stressed. He told me she was horrible and aggressive and would be put down. There were other truly aggressive dogs in the class who the trainer wouldn't even touch/work with. In my opinion, that's the trainers job. He should be confident enough in his training style that he can work with and around any dog. Regardless, whenever my dog wouldn't listen, he would either yell at her or tell me to get in her face and yell. Not something that you can do with an abused animal. It made her more stressed and less willing to listen because she was fearful that she would get hit. The trainer had a very holier than thou attitude towards everyone and it was exhausting trying to appease him. I eventually stopped coming halfway through the course because of what a negative environment it was for both me and my dog. It sucks because I wasted so much money, but I have now found my dog an AMAZING trainer who caters his training to every dog individually and after even one class, my dog has done better. Please don't enroll your dog here. I wouldn't trust the playgroups either, the whole time I heard dogs crying and whining and not being watched or taken care of. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I've had.

We used to take our dog to one of the "fancy" dog boarding places in town, but had problems with them being overbooked, the people weren't very friendly and their prices were pretty high. Is The Dog House a brand new building with state of the art webcam features and fake grass for the dogs to potty on? Nope....not in the least. But the dogs there always seem happy, like they are having fun and the people who work there are FABULOUS! They love the dogs and even give the dogs a fresh-baked treat when they leave after doggy daycare. We use this business for daycare and for boarding. For me, the most telling review is that Buddy (my dog) can't wait to get out of the car and into the building when I take him to The Dog House....which tells me he gives it a two paws up recommendation!

First Of all, I should have gone with my gut. I am not writing this to hurt this business, but to simply share my experience because I believe its important. I hold no grudge or ill feelings towards this company. I believe that what happened to my 4 month old German shepherd husky mix was an accident but it was also from neglect.Dog parks make me a little nervous, so I found this place. They had great prices and great reviews. The reality is my dog has so much energy I exercise him for 30 minutes twice a day plus regular play and its still not enough for him. He needs to run and play with other dogs for a few hours a day for his exercise but also for his socialization. As a pet sitter and dog walker, I am pretty picky on how animals are cared for. When I walked into the dog house, I should have walked out. But I thought I was just being paranoid. I give people chances and try not to judge based on a front cover. The business is in a shady part of town and when I walked in there were 4-5 groups of dogs sectioned off in a "hallway" or "play area." To each group it sounded there were at least 5 dogs per group. There were only two people working full time and one working part time. That Is too many dogs for 2 people to watch over. There Is one group that goes outside and there is one person with the outside group, while the other person is "watching over" the remaining groups inside. The people are very friendly and seemed genuine, so I left my dog there for a couple hours.Thirty minutes later, I get a phone call. Sarah I believe her name told me that my dog was playing with two other dogs and a Boston terrier must have "knicked" him right above his eye. he has had battle scars from dog parks and got roughed up a bit, so I wasn't too worried about it. Puppies Bite each other, it happens. But when my husband brought him home, it was definitely not a knick. They minimized his injury. It was a bleeding and swollen quarter size puncture wound on his head that he cried every time you went near it. I decided to get the more full story which is this... They really don't know what happened because nobody was monitoring them, they are only speculating what happened. Then this morning, I woke up to my dog throwing up at 3:30 am. He threw up dark brown liquid (indication GI distress) with pieces of some type of fabric. I told them not to allow him to have access to any plush toys or rope toys because he will chew them and eat them in minutes. I called this morning which the guy said he knew nothing about it, he wasn't there. So I waited for a call back from someone who was there. Late in the afternoon I have to call back to which the same guy answered the phone and he was waiting to get the full story. The story he got was that when they seperated him from the dog who attacked him, he got access to a rope toy which they immediately took away. I have a very hard time believing he only had it for a few seconds considering how much of it he is vomiting and pooping out. At this point I'm getting upset because I feel they are being very dishonest with me. I do not believe these people did anything intentional, I think they simply have too many dogs or not enough people.I hope the owners change some things and realize dogs deserve better Care. if this was a child Care, this would be totally acceptable and their doors would either be closed pretty quickly or have lots of complaints and lawsuits. I think because these people seem so genuine and down to earth and "for the dogs" nobody really complains or doesn't know how they operate. They are on the other side of the doors, it takes time for them to take action if there's an issue.I do not wish to cause harm I just want people to be aware and I hope the owners take better Care. I want them to understand that their Care was unsatisfactory and I hope they take better Care of the dogs they are trusted with.

I was in town for the weekend and needed somewhere for my pup to go while we went to the zoo and aquarium. They were so accommodating and made it feel like my pup has b3en going there for forever. We will definitely bring him back there if we need to next time we are in town.

Been taking my dogs here for daycare since 2013. Have also tried a few other doggy daycares around town (because the others do tend to have more open business hours - one star off for the limited hours). This is the only daycare where I can drop them off and leave without them whining to come with me. They take themselves back to the check-in pen. That's all the review I need from my derps. The fact that they sleep like logs when we get home is just bonus (an energy-drained dog is a dog that's super receptive to training, btw... Daisy knows so many stupid tricks just because, well, we could). To reinforce this, though, a couple years back my big girl saw one of the daycare guys at See Spot Walk and Lost. Her. Mind. Yipped like crazy and rolled onto her back showing her belly in the middle of a crowd. She's not a people puppy. Will only let people she knows pet her. And she showed her belly for him in a crowd.I trust these folks with my dogs. My dogs trust these folks. That's... that means a lot to me.

One day I decided to attach a mini recorder to my dog to see how her day at daycare was going. I almost cried after hearing what she did everyday while there. She dragged her leash around all day, went out 1 time in the 1/2 day she was there. In the background I heard "shut up", "STOP", "Be Quiet!!", they constantly yell at the dogs due to barking. Not once did I hear any reinforcement when they were quiet. Not once did they call my dog by her name and when she went outside no played with her, in fact I could not hear anyone outside with her at all. She cried for almost 3 hours on the recording and was kept in a small room the whole day. Since then we have found a new daycare where people actually play with the dogs and make them feel wanted. If I wanted her locked up all day I would put her in a kennel.

I take my dog to The Dog House every day. He absolutely loves it. He rushes out of the car to the front door every day to go play with all his friends. The employees are very friendly and helpful, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

This morning for the first time ever I went to The Dog House with my two life mascots, Spike and Arlo. We were greeted by a random off leash dog once we walked in the front door, which I found odd, but not alarming. As I sit down to fill out the paperwork (today was their 'trial day' at The Dog House) a new dog and his human walked through the door. Before they could make it all the way inside said dog off leash darted out the door and attacked the dog. The fight was ferocious, and an employee (possibly owner of off leash dog) ran outside to stop it. I immediately went and retrieved Spike and Arlo and left. I informed another employee that we would never be back. There are many situations in life that can be avoided by being smart and thinking through crisis scenarios. I would highly recommend that whoever owns this place take a serious look at the safety of your tenants and their humans. I left physically shaking with anger and disbelief, and I promise you, I will never be back.
