Don’t do it! After a first grooming where my dog was cut. I chalked it up to an accident. Then I made appointments weeks in advance which were cancelled on the day of. Even after I was called the day before to be sure I was coming. This happened 3 times. Shame on me for not learning. The owner said. “Sorry but I can’t be responsible for what my employees do”. Did she offer to step in? No. Did she offer to get someone to come in within a day or so? No? She said “The best I can do is put you on a wait list. She cared not a bit and was not interested in resolving the issue. Mostly I feel bad for my dog.

In the 12 years I have had my Bichon/Shitzu/Mutt mix Tater Tot he has never looked better after a grooming. His rough and curly fur looked like he had a professional blow out at a salon. They even cut around his eyes so perfect you can’t even tell he only has one eye!! Prices are great also and they take very good care of my pups while there. Thank you!!

I've been a client here for 13 years. They groom our 2 dogs and do an excellent job! They are pretty busy so would recommend making an appt at least 2 months ahead. Staff is friendly and patient with our dogs.

I've got a border collie mix, so there's a lot of dog and a lot of fur. That said, I specifically took him in for a deshedding.For $70 and three hours, I expected... better than I'd get at Petco for two hours and $50, at the very least.He came back clean, but his nails were not trimmed (and it was only his dewclaws that needed it because he's active enough that the rest wear down) and he was shedding more than when I dropped him off as he had very obviously not been brushed post-bath. I took him home and brushed for ten+ minutes and was still pulling fur off the brush.I'm not sure $70 was a good price for a wash and a blow dry when he can easily get that at home. At least when I used to take my husky to Petco, she wouldn't come back billowing loose fur.The staff was kind, but I don't think I'll be going back. I'm sure I can pay $70 elsewhere and actually get the deshedding and nail clipping I need from a professional groomer rather than what I can do in my own home for a fraction of the time and price.

This place is a really good size and everything is provided for you. The tubs are a nice big size and although my pup was very vocal she came out looking bright and amazing. It was $15 which I think was very reasonable!

I have been a loyal customer at Dirty Paws since 2009, it's the only groomer that I have taken my dog Dixie and my new dog Lotty. I have always been please with Hailey. In fact, I love Hailey. However, I will not take my dog there any longer. Hailey broke her leg and a new groomer had to fill in for her. Then, Monica, the new groomer had a new price point and I was never notified of that until I picked up Lotty. The cut was completely wrong. Also, Monica got too close on Lotty's back end, so she was licking it and scooting around all night. When I talked to the owner, Holly, she said that she would TRY to make things right. The best she would do is have Monica trim the ears, but fixing the cut would require a whole new cut. So essentially Dirty Paws and Monica the new groomer don't stand by the work that they do, nor do they communicate out the price increases (a $15 jump is a lot) to their loyal customers.I have referred my parents, a cousin, and several friends to take their dogs to Dirty Paws. Now I urge you to take your dog anywhere else. After 13 years I am taking my dog somewhere else. I will miss Hailey, I do love her, but I refuse to give one more penny to a company that only tries to do the right thing.

I took my shitzu to be groomed there. She came out shaved with several razor burns on her stomach. They are more expensive than most and expect a tip. I won't take her there again.

My dog loves getting groomed there. The staff work really well with him. I like the fact that when we are coming back to the house from a hiking adventure its easy for us to wash the dog at the self washing tubs. Sometimes my dog gets so dirty and muddy that he will end up clogging my drains at home.

Such a great dog grooming place! Lively atmosphere, friendly employees, and everything you could need to bathe a dog! I come here every week and my dogs always smell so good afterwards. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to do self-serve washing or to get their dog groomed professionally. Didn't even need to make an appointment to get the nails clipped! Their super-friendly groomer was happy to come trim them even though she was busy.

I love taking my very dirty dog into Dirty Paws. The staff is friendly, the place is as clean as you can get a Doggy Salon!! The shampoos perfect for tearless, scent free requirements and the dryers wonderfully efficient. If you need more supplies the staff is immediately available to help.The dogs in for more formal grooming seem happy to be there.And, the best thing is it is close to where I live with very convenient hours!

Nice option for those who don't want (or can't) to pay for a full grooming but also don't have a proper area do wash their dog. This place offers six tubs for you to give your pup a nice bath, and you have access to blow dryers, towels, brushes and they even have dog shampoo available.They also offer grooming services, that I've used in the past, and did a great job on my dog (a westie).

I've been bringing my dog in for grooming for years now and have always loved the perfect job the groomers do. I have also used the self-serve stations many times to bathe my boyfriend's golden retriever and my yorkie and it's awesome! They have many types of shampoos and brushes to choose from.They also provide towels, blow dryers, and aprons as well as a leave-in conditioner and ear and eye wipes which is all included in the regular and $10 special self-serve wash pricing! I will definitely be going back to Dirty Paws regularly and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Dirty Paws is a real neighborhood gem! We're so lucky they are located in SE Boise, but would drive across town to go there based on the terrific groomer, employees and facilities.Our three dogs regularly have their nails clipped and anal glands expressed at Dirty Paws, and Hailey (groomer) is so great about letting us watch if we want to learn how to do some of this ourselves. Frankly, we have never quite gotten the hang of either nail clipping or, fortunately, anal gland draining, so we see Hailey a lot! ; )Our three dogs love Hailey, and feel comfortable with her. Two of our dogs are pugs, who are notoriously skittish with nail trimming. Hailey has a wonderful way of comforting and handling our dogs. Thank goodness!Dirty Paws is open 7 days a week. Nail trimming/anal gland expressing can be done without an appointment, but it's a lot better if you call them to make sure Hailey has time to see your dog. Grooming is by appointment, and we've been able to get the times we want pretty easily.The waiting area is comfortable and the front-desk person is always helpful and friendly. Dogs have fresh water to drink and the yummiest dog biscuits ever to nibble on. The cost of services is VERY reasonable, especially anal gland expressing ($5, a deal not to have to do it oneself!).We feel lucky that Dirty Paws is our neighborhood dog grooming and dog wash station. They're the best!

Super disappointed. Took my Cobberdog in for a grooming and trim. The groomer shaved our dog without any warning, or communication. Furthermore, the groomer (Monica) nicked him in multiple places and then tried to say that was a normal occurrence. This happened after they canceled our reservation twice, delaying his grooming two months. Groomer said he was too mated, so had to shave him. He had a few mats, but not excessive and no mats during the time of our original appointments. They were not able to even give him a brush out two months ago to get him by. Our long haired cobberdog now looks like a whippet! Asked to speak to the owner, was not able to. This Boise native will not be using this groomer again. Super disappointed!!

Clean. Staff was okay... But not very professional.The tubs are only 2 feet off the floor, so if you are tall like me you'll have a hard time washing your dog; lots of back pain. The only provide leave in conditioner as well. Not very helpful if your dog is a shedder. Only a few tools. Only two high powered nozzled dryers.Basically, a good place if you're on a budget and you just need a quick wash. Not good if your dog needs more than just a quick wash.I also did not like that they use choke chains to hold the dog at the tub. She did not even ask me before putting a choke chain on my dog. So I ended up taking it off.I probably won't use this place again. I'll pay the extra $5 and go to K-9 Wash n Go on Overland. There they have cloth chains, tall tubs (stools at every station to sit on), multiple rolling tables full of grooming tools, and much more.

Nice place with a decent staff and reasonable prices. The main reason we've taken all of our dogs there has been because it's close to home. The reason for the three stars, however, is that the owner simply will not get a plumber in to snake the lines. I can count on plunging the drain every week because the water backs up in the tubs. I keep pulling up nasty black gunk until the water grudgingly drains out of the tub. So my freshly-washed dog is sitting in dirty water until I can get the drain unclogged. I have complained several times to no avail. As much as I regret this, we're probably going to find a different self-wash place.

Bathing my dogs at Dirty Paws is such a positive experience. Friendly staff, nice walk-in tubs, and choices of shampoo and conditioner make it a winner! They also have two days where the cost of bathing is reduced! I have been bathing my pets there for four or five years, and love it!

My first visit was great. I used the self-serve shower to wash Jake, a fuzzy border collie mix. The cleaning station brings the dog up to a comfortable level for scrubbing, and the hair mess is contained and easily rinsed.

This facility is great I love that I can bring my dog here and bathe them without having to dirty my own tub. It is great that they provide shampoos and towels so you don't have lug your own things here. I have taken my dog to Haley the groomer so she could dremmel my dogs nails because my dog doesn't like me trimming her nails. But Haley does fantastic with dog she is gentle with my dog and comforts my dog while she is dremmeling her nails. They also have grooming tables and provide clippers to groom your own dog if you don't have the money to see the groomer. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for grooming or to just bathe and groom their dogs themselves.

I am grateful for this place because our dog is geriatric with a heart condition and no longer is able to go to the groomers. We are able to bathe him ourselves in a stress free environment. Dirty Paws provides everything you need for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have mats for elderly arthritic dogs who can't stand or grip the slippery surface of the tubs. They also have ramps for those dogs that can't jump into the tub. Seriously, I don't know what we would have done without Dirty Paws. They really have been a big help in our and our dog's life. I am glad they are in our community. Thank you!

Love this place! I took my goldendoodle here to get groomed because the last place we went was expensive and they nicked his little nose; it was a terrible haircut. When I called to make an appointment here they were much nicer and it was the perfect haircut! He didn't look too poodly or silly. Now I take him here to wash him myself when he's dirty and it's way easier than using the shower-head at home. Plus the young lady who works there is so friendly, it's an all around pleasant experience. I highly recommend them!
