We live out of state and signed a short term work contract here in Boise. Between signing that contract and leaving our home state we found that our cat was terminally ill.When I got to Boise I found this office. I've never seen a clinic that specializes in only cats before. After my experience here I am absolutely going to look for this type of clinic when I head back home. I wish I lived close enough to the clinic to use them forever, but the 1,680 mile commute from home would be a bit much.Dr. Irwin and her team are some of the most compassionate and caring people I've ever come across in veterinary medicine. Henry was our little traveling gnome. He's been to many vet's offices across the country. Dr. Irwin's exam was far more thorough than any exam I've had a vet perform on any of my animals. Her expertise in feline care was on full display.The staff is just as caring, compassionate and loving. The technicians and front desk staff made me feel very comfortable through this emotional time. Both as fellow humans and caretakers for my cat.If you need a vet for your cat this is the place to go. Prices are fair, the clinic is clean, modern and well cared for. The people are what makes it though. Everyone I dealt with cared for my little guy as much as I do.

I called with an urgent need today, and Nicole was kind, compassionate, and helpful over the phone. From a customer service perspective this was incredibly comforting, and I was very impressed. I’m always a little shy when calling a new vet, because I’ve had experiences ranging from rude, uncomfortable, to BAD, with multiple other clinics in the valley since moving here 6 years ago. Having just moved to this neighborhood, I will definitely be following up for care for both of my cats in the near future. Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. My fur baby, Kitten, is about 15 years old and I had taken her to the same clinic her whole life until recently. I switched to The Cat Clinic last month for her annual check up and blood work. They went above and beyond on Kitten’s physical exam. The vet and techs did a more thorough exam than she has ever had with previous clinics. They explained what exactly they were doing, why they were doing it, and what the were looking for. I had a lot of questions and they answered them all without making me feel like I was asking too many. The whole staff was incredible. I was very emotional due to the possible medical conditions that come with elderly cats and fear of the unknown (waiting for blood test results). The lovely lady at the front desk brought me Kleenex, held my hand, and comforted me. I firmly believe that if I hadn’t have taken Kitten to this clinic, the other vets would not have found her conditions and her health would have rapidly declined. The vet recognized “red flags” that the prior vet for years did not. If you’re looking for a vet or a new vet for your fur baby, please take them here. Sadly we lost our fur Baby Arwen. thanks to the Dr. and staff we had a final week with our little girl. they were supportive and caring and they made her last week as good as it could be. thank you all so much. we will miss her. but she was a wonderful little Kitty.

All of the reviews below are true! This place is the bees knees. Every interaction I had with doctor Irwin and many different staff members was friendly, genuine, kind, informative and helpful. I always felt like I knew what was going on within my kitty's care and that my meowy mamas boy was very well taken care of. Truly the best veterinary experience I've ever had. We have since moved out of state, and unfortunately will longer be using boise cat clinic but Nicole was able to give us some great recommendations :)Thank you so much to Dr. Irwin and all of the staff. Great work!I HIGHLY recommend the boise cat clinic.

I love Boise Cat Clinic. Every member of the staff is kind, helpful, and friendly. Costs are transparent, they thoroughly explain all steps of examinations and procedures, and I know they have my cats’ best interest above all else! I’ve personally never felt more welcomed or comfortable at another vet clinic and my cats like it too (or at least they don’t hate going, ha!) Examinations are gentle and my cats love the Churus they give to distract from anything uncomfortable. From elderly cat care to my new kittens, I’ve brought my cats here for it all, and only have good things to say. Thanks Boise Cat Clinic!

Boise Cat Clinic consistently goes above and beyond, and I am grateful to them for their incredible level of care, professionalism, kindness and overall ethos. They not only provide incredible care for my senior girl, but they are always have patience and understanding for her anxious mother (me) as well. Pet medical can be stressful, expensive, and often heart rendering. Boise Cat Clinic does everything to alleviate concerns. First, when you call for appointments, any staff answering are polite, professional, kind, and knowledgeable. They will help.When you arrive, you're expected, greeted, and treated well. The offices are immaculate and well decorated.The staff advises you and does not berate about the health of your felines. They inquire and treat you well. Your cat is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The cat's comfort and yours are always considered.I have always come away with a deep understanding of what my cat needs for treatment, what my responsibilities must be, and for what to look in recurrence. Routine appointments are just fun and relaxing.I thank the Boise Cat Clinic for what they do for pets and clients.I truly feel they know they're a business, and I respect that. I’ve taken my cats here for 5 years and we continue to love the care we receive!! All of the doctors are wonderful and the technicians are so gentle and caring. I had to bring my kids with me to an appt today and vet tech Savannah was outstanding. She took time to explain to them what was going to happen to our cat during his exam and my kids were so attentive after the explanation, big thank you to them for making the appointment go so smoothly. If you’re looking for a great clinic for your cat, this is it! Also, I so appreciate the receptionists, as they are always so easy to communicate with via email or phone - whichever you prefer. I cannot overstate how impressed I have been throughout our experience with Boise Cat Clinic, particularly Dr. Irwin. My cat has been a patient at five veterinary clinics in three different states over the last nine years and he has never received such through, comprehensive examinations with such a high attention to detail! Dr. Irwin takes a substantial amount of time after every exam and procedure to explain every single finding, healthy or otherwise, and answer all questions, and they check in the following day to see how their patients are doing. They truly care about every individual patient at this clinic, including my very difficult and aggressive kitty. Every time my cat has ever been sedated or put under anesthesia for exams/procedures he has thrown up afterwards - until we found Boise Cat Clinic, as they use a gentler anesthetic that doesn’t have the same effect as whatever all the other clinics have used on him. This is just a small example of the cat-focused care they provide at this clinic that has made a huge difference to both my cat and myself! Every single team member I have interacted with has been so caring, warm, and professional with the same attention to detail as Dr. Irwin! I feel so grateful to have found Dr. Irwin and the amazing team at Boise Cat Clinic and will refer every fellow cat parent I know there. I am absolutely blown away!

I am so impressed with this clinic! My old vet retired and I did not like the new office processes, so I switched. The clinic technicians here are amazing and accommodating, working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. Everyone is very helpful, positive, and kind. The vets are knowledgable and everyone prioritizes your kitty. The service is outstanding and they trim claws for free with every visit. There are so many extras to make yours and kitty's life better! They have a great app with fun features, including the ability to upload kitty selfies, see other's kitty selfies, and vote on them. It's a fun way to see the other kitties at this vet office. I am very pleased with Boise Cat Clinic.

I brought my cat Pharoah in because of some respiratory issues and he was extremely unhappy to be there. He's an 18 pound cat and they were great about handling him and his fussiness. The entire office, from reception staff to the vet, were all amazing. You could tell they actually loved the animals they saw there. And to top it all off, a couple of days later I got the sweetest note signed by everyone in the office. The entire staff is great and I've made this my official clinic for him!

I love the care you get for your kitty here. I moved from MT and finding new technicians who could handle my sassy one was not easy. I have a dilute calico who has a very big attitude and they are slow and kind with her the whole way. Thank you Boise Cat Clinic! Gus may not appreciate you but I do. Enough for both of us :)

Our feline family has been seen at the Boise Cat Clinic for about five years. Throughout this time we have been exceptionally pleased with the care all of our cats have received from every staff member- reception to veterinarian. Both the humans and the cats in our family have been treated with dignity and respect, and the veterinary staff clearly explains their recommendations, including price. We have never felt pressure to spend beyond our means, nor have we felt shamed when we are not able to immediately schedule pricier procedures. It always feels as if each appointment is customized to the cat that is scheduled for that day, and the Dr. Roller and Dr. Irwin provide an exceptional continuity of care, especially for some of our cats with more complex medical issues. Both doctors have contacted us after business hours to explain lab results or check in on sick kitties. The whole clinic gives the feeling of truly caring about their clients.No one wants to face the day when it is time to say good-bye to a pet, but when it was time for our beloved Emily and Willie to cross the rainbow bridge, everyone was incredibly compassionate and patient. We were allowed to remain with them as long as we needed on both occasions and every effort was made to ensure that Emily's and Willie's best interests, comfort, and dignity were paramount.As others have said, the clinic is clean, quiet, well organized, and set up with the needs of cats in mind. Every exam is "tip to tail," meaning that each body system of the cat is examined and explanation is provided along the way. Accommodations are made for shy or frightened cats, including splitting procedures/vaccines across multiple days and providing towels during the exam so that only the part being examined is in view.We are so thankful that we've found the Boise Cat Clinic and cannot imagine taking our cats anywhere else.

All the staff here is professional and they will answer any questions you have. Pricing is reasonable in my opinion. My favorite thing is that you can tell that they love cats and want them to live their best life.Update: Years later and I still love this vet. While some faces have changed, the professional demeanor and love of your pet is still there.

I cannot recommend Boise Cat Clinic enough. From the caring staff to the level of care, the treatment my cat and I received were second-to-none. Jeanette was very helpful with check-in, and as a first-time client, made us feel incredibly welcome. When it came time for the check-up, Courtney did a fantastic job keeping my nervous kitty calm during the assessment. Dr. Roller was resourceful and professional, explaining each step, going over the lab results, and providing recommendation that worked best. Treatment cost was reasonable and comprehensive, with affordable options available.

She was very thorough in diagnosing our cats ailment and suggesting the best course of action while being upfront with the costs and potential risks. Top tier vet service. Even with the covid restrictions they take the time to call and talk through everything virtually. They take the time to explain what's going on with your cat(s) and what options for them could help in various ways without being pushy. We are very happy to have this great vet for our cats!
