Dr. Hunter is amazing. She takes time to listen which helps with accurate diagnoses. It is easy to see how much she cares about her clients and patients. The vet techs and receptionists are well trained, caring and communicative. The clinic is well organized, clean and exceptionally beautiful inside with wood window trim and hardwood floors. I love everything about this clinic!

I have been desperately trying to find a vet that doesn't just want to sell me pills with 5 worse side effects for my dogs incontinence issue. I live about an hour away from Boise but found Dr. Hunter online in my search for holistic vets and decided to give her a shot. She was so worth the time and drive and she isn't priced outrageously either. She is very smart, kind and thorough. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you! Thank you!

We love the interaction with Dr. Hunter and our pet, she really explains everything in detail. It's also a comfortable environment with just your pet being seen during the visit and not several pets all squeezed into the waiting area. The office staff are also great and really care for your pet. She will also respond to questions outside of office hours.

Dr. Hunter is amazing. She has had quite the reputation for being one of -if not THE best veterinarian in the Treasure Valley, long before opening her own practice. Just down the street from St. Al’s, the staff here were extremely kind, informative, and great with my new kitten. Nobody even bat an eye at my kitten’s (and my own) anxiety. New kitten was overall pretty comfortable and chill there -as there weren’t any other animals -sick or otherwise in the clinic and the staff were calm and gentle. The clinic by the way, is new, clean, and has a beautiful relaxing decor more akin to that of a day spa rather than a typical cold veterinarian clinic. Dr. Hunter seems to have a very conservative step-wise and naturalistic approach to her practice but is still willing to pull out the big guns (antibiotics, etc) for treatment -if it comes to that. It really feels like she prioritizes the care of her patients based on her extensive experience in naturalistic care and evidence based medicine over money or corporate interests. In between the new kitten and her new doctor, I’m feeling extremely lucky these last few days.

We took our pup to Dr. Hunter and she was amazing! We loved how informative she was and how she would explain things to us and allow us to make decisions from there, rather then just doing things to our puppy without explaining why (which we have experienced in the past with other vets). She helped us get on the right track with our puppy Jack, and we couldn't be happier! I definitely recommend her!

Dr Hunter is absolutely amazing. The office is neat clean and well laid out. The front office staff is extremely helpful and kind. And Dr. Hunter herself is pretty awesome she actually listens to all of your concerns and discusses treatment options and any blood work test results in layman's terms.

I found Dr. Hunter after I did a pet wellness life stress scan through a company in Montana, and their website had a link to Holistic Vets. My chocolate lab has had issues with his skin and red watery eyes that my previous veterinarian treated with prescription allergy medication that didn't work. On our visit to Dr. Hunter, she looked at his eyes and knew right away that his bottom eyelids were turned inwards causing the irritation, which will need to be surgically corrected. Dr. Hunter also spent a lot of time explaining the best diet for my dogs. I have switched to what she has suggested and the skin issues have subsided and they don't seem to be as hungry all of time like they used to be. I will be bringing all of my pets to Dr. Hunter, she is an excellent Veterinarian!

Recommended vet! Dr. Hunter is a rare gem, she's not only a genuinely awesome lady but she's also very much a professional in her field. It's rare to find a vet that is personable, intelligent, a true animal lover, and that understands and embraces western and eastern medicine. She's been a huge asset to my dogs well being.

We feel so blessed that Dr. Hunter opened this clinic as we have had a very hard time finding a vet that has a moderate and more holistic approach to care. Most recently, our little Boston, Zoey, was having a bout of stomach trouble. Dr. Hunter's office was so nice and responsive. We were able to pick up supplements the day of calling (without having to schedule an appointment) and when those didn't clear things up, they got her in the next day and on some antibiotics that resolved the issue. Zoey tends to be a bit anxious, but is very relaxed in the office and with Dr. Hunter. She provides a standard of care that is above what we have experienced before. We would highly, highly recommend her!

Dr. Hunter sets the bar high as far as vets go. We have gone through a few while waiting for a holistic vet option in this area. Our 14+ year old Beagles so deserve the high quality standard of care Dr. Hunter offers. One of our Beagles was recommended to be let go by West Vet. After 3 days in ICU and huge bills, he saw Dr. Hunter. After over two years of extremely high liver enzymes and lots of vets scratching their heads and trying all sorts of expensive meds, Dr. Hunter made a switch in the combination of antibiotics and threw in some Chinese medicine and his liver enzymes are almost down to normal range. He has recovered very nicely, is very energetic and is living a great life. We are grateful for her knowledge, intuition, and expertise.

So excited to have found this clinic. Dr. Hunter answered all of my question and was incredibly informative. My cute dog Gadget has dog anxiety and will nobly take on the biggest of breeds (he is a rescued 10lb Papillon mix, still learning how to dog). The staff was very understanding and made him feel comfortable before the exam. They were awesome.

Dr. Hunter and her staff are a dream come true. When we moved to Boise last fall we were afraid we would not be able to find a holistic vet for our miniature poodles. Were extremely excited and relieved when Dr. Hunter opened her practice here. They are very professional and caring. We will definitely continue to come here, even when we get into our new house and have to drive 57 minutes!

I have an older cat that was very sick. I had her at the same vet for years. I paid for so many expensive tests and they could never figure out what was wrong. After one brief visit, Dr. Hunter diagnosed her with a food allergy and prescribed new food. I got my cat back! She is 13 and thriving now! She is very happy and never gets sick anymore. Dr. Hunter saved my cat's life! And she does Naturopathic / holistic medicine too. She practices western and eastern medicine. She is literally a life saver! And a wonderful person to boot. Frida the cat and I will be forecer grateful to her.
