We had been up since 6am Friday and had been driving since 9pm when we pulled in Saturday at 10am. We walked in and asked if they had a room available and they could see how tired we were with 3 kids on our road trip. They had a room flipped for us in about 30 minutes with three queen sized beds. It was heaven the staff was super friendly and it was a great stay! Would definitely recommend and we will be staying again if we come back this way!

First experience here was decent, 2nd time I called in advance once again and was told I could come in 3 hours and have a room ready. Well I got here and nobody is answering the doorbell or phone, tried for 45 minutes straight to no avail. Very disappointed after driving for 19 hours. Why tell me you'll let me sleep here and such only to ignore me upon arrival? Will not return here a third time.

Lady at desk seemed to be unable to do her job, seemed to be confused. Room was very stinky otherwise somewhat clean. Very old but appears to have been a little updated. Towels were very thin and small. Would not stay there if at all possible. Seems like it was more for truckers overnight stays. Only stayed the night because we had been on the road for fourteen hours and extremely tired. Rest area and in car would have more pleasant.

I would have given them a 5star if the television would have worked they were experiencing issues with dish network, go figure.They tried their best to fix the issue but to no avail, they were able to get a picture but the sound was intermittent.The staff was awesome and did their best to accommodate us.I suggest that they get rid of Dish Network and use Google Chromecast or even Amazon fire or something similar to that. This would allow guests to sign in under their own account that they are subscribed to and watch something besides what is normally offered.I hope that when I return they have been able to fix the system or even upgrade to something better than Dish Network.Rooms: The rooms are very comfortable but need better tv service

Absolutely perfect location, and friendly staff. The nostalgic feeling of holding a room key brought back memories of when life was simple and vacationing was about the journey, and the friendly people along the way.I would definitely recommend staying here if you enjoy the the comforts of kind and loving people that truly care about you. Five stars all the way for the loving staff.

My husband went in to make a reservation here and they told him there was no room. Not even 5 minutes later I made a reservation online and it turns out they did have room. It may be worth mentioning that my husband is black and it is likely that is why he was turned away. The check-in clerk was rude and the rooms didn't make up for it in the least. It smelled bad, it felt dirty, and was poorly built and maintained. Our door was practically open, with dozens of scratch marks on the side of the door frame, so I felt generally unsafe. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

We love staying here. This last trip we showed up around 1 a.m. and they gave us they're last room available. We had our pet with us and it was no problem for the staff the staff to accommodate us. Being just off the freeway is great too! There's gas and food nearby. The staff that was on duty were pleasant as usual. We will definitely stay here again. The 3 stars on the room were only because they were outdated and could use a little more maintenance. But they were comfortable.

Great price. Dog friendly.Clean as in no bugs. Had to clean the toilet seat before using as it was dirty. Sheets were stained. Plastic on mattress was dirty. Room had an odd smell, like masked old, stale cigarette smoke.Bug again, the price cannot be beat. Was a great find when we were too tired to continue our drive and needed a place place at the last minute.

Convenient to freeway. Lots of parking even for large trucks. Good rates and room was clean. Nice peopleIt's a get what you pay for type deal.What you all could do is put some lamps in your rooms so big overhead light isn't only thing. A bit more cleaning. Water bottle under bed. Upstairs rooms left open and uncleaned . You could do better with a little effort.

No hot water. Attendant said we had to take turns because of 1 water heater so every 30 minutes I tried and gave up and went bed grimy from the road. Very flat pillows, a goat head sticker in the carpet thank God I found it with my shoe on. At 3 AM tried for hot shower but still no hot water. Provide your own water for the hallway Keurig along with your own pod. Bed lays own a slant so you feel like you may roll out of bed. I guess you get what you pay for. And a chair with a broken leg that sets you up for disaster.

We're Simi truck drivers so when we find a place like amber inn that makes us feel like we can just kick off our shoes and relax and not cost an arm and leg. I have stayed in the 100$ room with a rude front desk person. It was not worth it.. I'm always greeted with a smile 😁 and glad to have you back, and that is worth more but here it doesn't cost.Rooms: Not fancy but clean and cozy , microwave,mini fridge, table and 2 chairs.Safety: All doors inside, on site video security.Noteworthy details: They are really good people and nice.And had Simi Truck PARKING.

Me and my buddy had our car break down, and the manager fixed it for us from free. He went way out of his way to give us a hand and was very accommodating. The service is exceptional and I'll definitely be staying a gain. Thanks Josh!

One of the worst cheap motels I've ever stayed in. Broken furniture. Broken door knob. Out of coffee. Other guests playing loud music until after 10:00. The worst WiFi ever. Huge potholes in unlit gravel driveway. Keep driving and stay somewhere else.

Due the lack of options I book a weekend here. Should have stayed in my car to be honest. Outdated throughout. My room was missing paint, has a damaged door handle and a 1970's phone. Every chair feels like will collapse. I especially liked the duct tape on bed. Very classy...no night staff, gravel parking lot and an odd smell. The coffee maker has more dirt and grim on then the rocks outside. Oh and the satellite was constantly going out every 12 minutes. Yes, I timed it since there was absolutely nothing in this town.

The gal at the check in counter was the BEST! Traveling across half the country and we needed a reasonable place to stay. Yes the rooms are old. But if you just want to sleep and don't want to spend double, stay here! I have paid more for less of a room. There was a last minute cancel after we checked in and she came and swapped keys for a ground floor room! AMAZING!

The room is very spacious but the bed is not placed correctly. It needs to be more centered to give more room for a nightstand on the other side and a place to be able to plug phones in. The clerk/manager was really nice and helpful. We had a smoking room and he had an ionizer in the room and asked me how the room smelled. You wouldn't have known it was a smoking room...it works👍🏼
