We lived here long before this was an ACE, the guy at the counter was less than pleasant today. I mentioned that C-A-L ranch sells their hardware without having write down numbers, and he said well that’s C-A-L ranch go there. Well thanks for the advice I’ll just do that from now on.

We needed a few items for our RV and are new to town, unfortunately they didn't have what we needed but we're extremely helpful in helping us locate everything we needed elsewhere and that is seriously some excellent customer service. We will be loyal customers from here on out.

Great store when you need something. Only problem is when you need something no matter what it happens to be the Blackfoot ace hardware doesnt stock it, but Pocatello, Shelley and Idaho Falls always convieniently have it. Dont understand. Since I moved here to Blackfoot I still have to rely on other towns.

They have a pretty good selection for a hardware store in Blackfoot. There are some things you’ll still need to go out of town for, but for basic items it’s a great choice. They do have some paint selections, but it’s a little small so you might be better off going somewhere else for paint. Everyone is always very friendly, but not the most knowledgeable about the products. You’ll probably need to google what you’re looking for rather than asking someone.

They have really expanded their selection and inventory since they opened a few years ago. Staff is helpful. Items are a little more expensive than big box chains but then again I'm not driving 40 minutes each way and paying $15 in gas to visit an orange or blue hardware store. Great local business addition to Blackfoot.

It's okay. They don't always have things on hand and have to order. Ex: attachments for most large yard tools, compost, yard edging. I can order it on line from main site and receive it faster. But overall, it's a good store for our town.

Everytime we shop here the employees are kinda rude and unhelpful. You feel like a inconvience to the people working by even coming into the store; god forbid you have a question or need help. The prices aren't the best either. We only come here when we absolutely need to.

Really great store! Has many of the items I need, although I will agree with the review on confusing uniforms. I understand it is owned by Ridley's but I think it would help a tone if they at least had ACE somewhere on their uniforms. The staff also is quite helpful at times but there is the occasional employee who are a tad rude. But I do enjoy shopping here!

Apparently closes before their posted hours.Stopped about 3 minutes to 9 to pick up some square bits for a playset I'm building and the doors had been shut off.The guy behind the counter just looked on as he was leaning back against it. He definitely saw me.I get it. They want to get out and rarely have customers at that hour. I've worked plenty of retail to know.But it's frustrating to make the trip, knowing you're cutting it close(but can get in and out on time), only to find it's closed early.

For a small town hardware store Ace is really impressive. They have a really good selection of hardware and tools. The folks that work here are always friendly and helpful. The rewards program doesn't add up very quickly, but they send out good coupons pretty regularly.

Great store, the employees kinda just sit and shoot the breeze a lot though. I was having trouble finding something, and I had to back and ask several times, until I finally was like "can you just show me?" because they'd just give me vague directions and go back to chatting.

After my experience this evening my review had to change. Tonight we stopped by twice to get some more items for our project. The first time I felt like I was wandering the whole store to find help with an item and then when I did find help, it wasn't helpful at all and the employee kindof brushed me off. The second time there was a line and the second employee, instead of helping out, just stood behind the counter chatting with his girlfriend. Not professional at all and really affected my opinion of this store.Original review: This ace is great. Doesn't always have what we need but the staff are nice and it is close to home

The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I couldn't locate an employee. Finally one came up to me to offer help, but I would have never approached them because they were wearing shirts from a local grocery store. I thought they were just shopping there on their break or something. Turns out the grocery store owns Ace, but I think the employees should wear Ace shirts, because that was really confusing. Other than that the store is great.

It’s incredibly hard to get anyone to help you in this store, even if they’re in the aisle you need. They just vaguely point and walk off, if they respond at all. “Do you carry this kind of lightbulb?” I asked the guy stocking the lighting aisle. His response? “Don’t know”. Then walked off. Today I called ahead asking if they had what I needed, waited while he went to look, verified he found what I was looking for, went to town- they don’t sell that item or anything like it. I searched the store, went to the counter with a picture of what I was looking for, and the guy said “eh if we have any it’d be at the end of row 26”. It wasn’t. They don’t carry it. Waste of time from start to finish. I’d love to say this is the only bad experience I’ve had, but at this point I’ve had more bad experiences than mediocre experiences. I wish they took the “helpful hardware place” slogan seriously here, but they don’t. I went in once to buy an entire set of tools for my house, and they were so rude and unhelpful that we just left and bought them elsewhere. Bad service costs you money in a small town.

The store is nice but I have constantly had bad service. No one ever comes up and ask you if you need help. For example a friend and i walked around the store 3 times and no one once offered help. If you find somone they will help. Generally their are 2 to 3 people their and their almost always at the register. Whether their are people checking out or not. I have been in the store when it was just me and 1 other customer and still no help unless I hunt somone down or go to the register I dont know if their understaffed or just told to be at the register. Other then that they generally have what I need.

Not a pleasant experience. Perhaps my experience is not what others are getting, but today I stopped by looking for a specific tool. I spent 15 min looking for myself, but failed to locate the tool. I only noticed 2 employees and by the time I had spent looking there was only one, who was helping check out customers. I stood in line to ask for help. Once it was my turn in line, I explained I wasn't able to find a tool and the response I got was "well of you can't find it, it must be out of stock". I then went to Standard plumbing and supply, and was given the complete opposite experience. I was greeted at hmthe door, asked what they could help me with, I was shown the tools what the pros and cons were.

A little spendy but much better than going to the blackfoot Walmart to save a few bucks. The staff there tries to be helpful but make sure if it's important that you verify whatever they tell you. We have bought things with the advice from employees that turned out to be the wrong item. But overall we shop there often and have had positive experiences.
