I am so deeply grateful for the people at Sawtooth Animal Center. Last week, my puppy got outside and found rat poison on a neighbor’s property; in a panic I called and took him to the nearest vet. We’d not yet established care anywhere since we only recently moved to the state.Everyone was so kind, concerned, and immediately made sure my dog was okay. They took him right back to an exam room as it was an emergency, and very quickly induced vomiting followed by nausea medicine and activated charcoal to get the poison out of him. After having thrown up, he wasn’t eager to eat and the vet tech was so amazing, helping me to get him to ingest enough charcoal. She got down on the floor with us both and was so patient with him, which can be hard with a rambunctious puppy getting activated charcoal all over your clothing. The veterinarian was fantastic as well; he clearly explained the treatment process and possible outcomes, what to expect over the next day, and what symptoms would indicate we needed to return. He also reassured me that because we got there and he was treated quickly, my dog would probably be okay (and he is).And, while my primary concern was ensuring my dog would be okay, I was very surprised at the total cost of the visit. It was much more affordable than I had expected, very reasonable pricing.I am absolutely going to be bringing my little guy back for routine care in the future. Thank you for saving his life!

10/10 amazing place! Can’t say a single bad thing. I was on vacation when my dog had a seizure and they took him right in. Gave him their full attention! Absolutely loved how I and my dog was treated! I even considered driving 9 hours back every year for my dogs health! That’s how great the experience was. This place truly cares about your pet and not alot vets nowadays are like this. I felt like my dogs health came first above money here which was so refreshing! Again I highly recommend this place you won’t go wrong here. The staff was also extremely nice and made you feel like family. Please don’t ever change because your the needle in a haystack.

Dr. Chad is always amazing to work with. He really makes you feel like he cares deeply for your animal and has your best interest and care in mind. I've had other great experiences with Mark and Lori as well. The front staff is always courteous and helpful! Both my dogs and my kitty are thankful for their veterinary care at Sawtooth Animal.

We will always be grateful to Dr. Sofia and the Sawtooth Animal Clinic. Our dog got very sick very suddenly, and they were the only ones who could see her on a Monday morning. Our 14-year-old dog was incredibly ill, but Dr. Sofia talked over the treatment process and next steps in a really clear way that was neither overly dire nor created false hope. We had to hospitalize our dog for two days, and the staff watched over her and cared for her like she was the only dog there. When it became obvious that treatment wasn’t working, Dr. Sofia explained the options in a clear and compassionate way. We had to put our dog to sleep, but everything was done thoughtfully and peacefully, with plenty of time to say goodbye. We’re so grateful that Sawtooth Animal Center worked hard to help our girl and made her last few days as peaceful as possible.

After dealing with our dog’s middle-of-the-night “digestive episodes” for longer than I care to admit, it was a God-send to be able to get him in for a same-day appointment at Sawtooth Animal Center! Dr. Lieu was so kind and informative in describing the care that our boy needed, and the antibiotics that she prescribed worked like magic. Two miracles in one: a same-day appointment with instant results; it doesn’t get any better than that!! Thanks SO much!!! : )

My cat was sick this morning I took him so he can get checked, besides that they took us in an emergency basis, the doctor was so great (Dr. Acker) he really did a thorough exam and show a lot of empathy for our baby! He was really worried and you can see he's a man who is actually in there because he loves animals, thank you so much Dr. Acker and thank you to the ladys at front that explain to us about financial support for our cat.

My dog was very sick they took such good care of her they got her in right away she stayed for a day and a half took such good care of her made sure I knew exactly what I needed to have done and made her follow-ups and everything is done in the manner it needs to be done in and make sure if I have any problems that they would get her in it anytime thank you so much for saving my dog's life

They are compassionate, and considerate. They care about your animals almost as much as you do. Everyone there always greets you with a smile and they accurately diagnose whatever may be wrong with your fur baby. You will have to pay at the time of visit, which if you're poor like me is hard most of the time, but the care they give your animals is second to none. Thank you for all that you do, and for keeping my children healthy!

Absolutely incredible Vet experience. Our dog was bitten by another dog while we were in Ketchum for the weekend. We were able to get into SAC within 30minutes of calling, on a Saturday. The staff was exceptional, extremely friendly and the vet was knowledgeable and kind. The facility is clean and well equipped. 10/10 would recommend using this clinic if you live in the area or are visiting and an issues arises. Thank you!

The best place ever to board a pet! My dog loves going there and I never worry about how she is because all the workers there give the animals much love and attention. Janelle does an incredible job making sure that all is attended to! Jenny is amazing as well, as are all the fantastic workers. It is great to have the wonderful doctors as well as their techs, right next door should they be needed. One of the times over the summer when I boarded my dog, she had a urinary tract infection that I did not know about. They discovered the problem and started her on the medication to treat it! Dee and Amber as well as all the others at the front desk are incredible as well. Everyone is so nice and caring. The best place ever. We are so very fortunate to have all of them caring for our pets!

I am a semi-retired veterinarian, no longer doing surgery, so this is my go-to hospital for my pets when they require procedures. (I have also brought orphaned birds here.) I have been uniformly happy - on every level - with all the services my animals have received at Sawtooth. The only thing I don't prefer is the reception. One is not greeted warmly by the staff at the front desk, rather one is treated with sort of cool indifference. No apologies or explanations are offered for long waits, and there is general sense of disinterest. Fortunately, the rest of the experience is very positive, from the technicians to the surgeons. I believe my pets are in excellent, professional hands while undergoing their surgical procedures.

My dog jumped out of the car at a rest stop while we were out of town and injured her leg. I really appreciated Sawtooth squeezing her in for xrays and an exam since she couldn't put weight on it. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Thank you!

Dr. Chad Cleveland is our vet. We really like him a lot. He takes his time with my dog when diagnosing her. We come up with a treatment plan that fits her needs and my budget. The practice is clean, all of the employees are helpful and compassionate. The store is well stocked with food, treats and supplies for all small animals. There is a boarding area as well. They do day care and long term boarding as well. Great animal center!

Our dog Theodore was sick on our travels. They took him in on a Saturday and we were seen within twenty minutes. The doctor was so kind and really cared about our dog's well being, and the entire staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. This was our favorite vet we've been to and honestly I would move to the sawtooths just to have them as our home vet! Thank you guys SO much for taking care of our baby!To top it off there are puppies and kittens up at the front desk to overload you with cuteness as you come and go! Could not recommend any more.

We were traveling through the area when our dog got very sick. They got our dog in quickly and took great care of him, keeping him for the day for treatment, then having us come back early the next day for followup. Dr. Laurie was so kind and explained everything very well. We felt confident that she was being thorough, yet only doing procedures that were needed. So glad that this vet was near where we happened to be on that stretch of our extended travels. Highly recommend.

I have always had great things to say about the Sawtooth Animal Center, before it switched hands. I have not had any experience during regular business hours. I just wanted people to be prepared that they no longer have an emergency vet on call. My dogs stomach flipped and I had a zoom call through their app, had to go to Twin Falls, hoping that my dog did not die on the way.

Mark and Laurie saved my Lab's life about two weeks ago when they did surgery and discovered a huge mass inside. They were so wonderful to me and my dog, Stanley, that I will forever be in their debt.
