I cannot say enough about how awesome this location is and the personal service excellence provided by the owners Ashley and Jared…it was a great experience. My family and I felt welcome, cared for, and it felt like we were old friends…we are DEFINITELY coming back to Avery. The Avery Motel is one of our favorites this side of the Mississippi! Don’t miss this Easter Egg of a location!Rooms: Clean, quaint, comfortable.Safety: Can’t feel anymore safe than in this tucked away haven.Noteworthy details: Personal touch, attentive owners, lovely family run business.

We spend the summers camping along the St. Joe river and frequent the Avery Store for supplies and tips on fly fishing. The new owners are very friendly, helpful and provide outstanding service. They go above and beyond- One example is my husband was hunting last year and when he was taking his Elk to the walk in cooler at the store, he lost his hunting knife. However, he did not realize he had dropped it at the store. The owner found it and kept it until he saw us again this year for camping season. Please support this business and their wonderful family. It is a wonderful community and we want to see them succeed for years to come.

We stopped by the store on our side by side while on the way to fly fish the St. Joe. We enjoyed a couple of hot dogs, the biggest cookie I’ve ever seen and picked up some local beers to try. They are a hopping place and although the beer was a tad pricey it’s come to be expected for the convenience and location so we didn’t mind! We enjoyed a drink while fly fishing and we made sure to toss our trash responsibly!

This place is great…really fun atmosphere…I totally enjoyed the experience. I was traveling alone and the owners made me feel really welcome and comfortable. Great rooms. I had one slight issue with the toilet, reported it and Jared was in the room within ten minutes and fixed the issue. Really cool guy. Definitely will stay here again.Rooms: Room was fine…I caused the issue with the toilet…fixed quickly and with a bit of humor.

This is the best store ever! They have all the supplies you could possibly need for a fun adventure out in the wilderness. The owners are absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I was looking for. Jared, even went out of his way to get me a spark plug that I had needed. Great customer service - will be coming back forever!

We rented a room for two nights as we love exploring the Avery area. The building is very old but very clean, lots of room, a full kitchen, and the bed was very comfortable. The service at the store and restaurant were both excellent and the pizza was fantastic with a great beer selection. The outside seating is awesome and a great place to unwind after a long day of playing. The only complaint is that the bar/restaurant needs to stay open to at least 9! Thanks for a fantastic weekend.

Just stayed 8/4-8/6. The room was spacious and clean. Linens smelled really good. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed hanging out with the locals. Will definitely be back.

This store has all those little last minute things you need for a trip, but forgot! Also, the beer selection is 🏽Owners reopened the kitchen after closing it to make burgers for some people when the restaurant next door closed early for no reason.Above and beyond service.

Absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism and the way the worker was treating locals. Screaming at anybody in a professional setting is going to do nothing but run people away. It's going to be a cold winter if you continue to treat locals this way.Noteworthy details: I normally go out of my way to spend money in this town but this will be one business but I'll quit spending money at for a little while.

This is one of my favorite places on earth. The hotel, store, TFPs. The staff is incredible, the store has anything you could ever want. They're open year round and the winter is very cozy. For hunters and fishermen, they have everything you need from licenses and tags to flies and meat coolers. TFP pizza is delicious. Great outfit, can't say enough how much I appreciate what they've built and the people they employ.

New owners Pete and Lori have cleaned and updated rooms. Had wi-fi and Dish network for the kids. Complete kitchen if you needed or food is available at the srore. Stayed two nights and had a great time. Food was excellent and fire pit area was nice to visit with other guests and locals. Good launch spot for the Joe.
