Nice stop for a night. Microwave and mini fridge. Absolutely nothing fancy about this but bed was comfy and shower was hot. Manager was very nice and helpful. Customer service was great, no complaints there. The room itself was not great. The outside looks cute rolling up, but don’t be fooled. The inside is nothing to write home about. The showers look like they got stolen out of a mid 70’s prison. Every door is broken or missing, even the front one has to be jimmied to get it to lock. The bed mattress was so old even if I took a deep breath it let out. huge squeak. When we showed up the thermostat was set to 90, so even though it was 20 degrees outside I slept with a window open to avoid the flashbacks of Texas nights. Great people, this place just needs some major TLC!

Ritz Carlton, it is not. But warm & comfortable is what we wanted. And that's what we got. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Be cautious of the loose boards near the front doors. Nail heads sticking up and wobbly planks etc. We were near the road, so a bit of noise from the trucks rumbling by. Nothing unreasonable.

Stayed 1 night and won't stay there again. The key to the door did not work, when we got the door open the room smelled so bad! Pet stains all over, we had to leave the door open to air it out. Woke up in the middle of the night and found earwigs in the bathroom. A little while later woke up again and found one in bed with us. I will never stay there again!

I called two days before to make a reservation, the woman on the phone was super nice and accommodating. She let me know ow they only had one room with one bed but the TV did not work but had an amazing ac, they discounted it to $75 or they had the room with 2 queen beds but everything worked and it was $150. I told her I had to talk to my hubby and would call back. Called back 10 minutes later and her husband answered I started explaining I had just called and Katie took the phone from him and took over the call. I explained would jut go with the 2 bed room because we had to wait for family and wouldn't have anything to do. She let me know atomic days was going on so it was something to do. I said oh nice to you get a break to go. She said i leave weather the owners want me to or not, i have kids that like to do stuff. So we book the room and when we arrive, we left to go help family and returned back about 10 pm. We get into our room and the TV does not work. I try go to the office but the door was locked with a note saying to call a number. I call the number but get no answer. I figured will try again in the morning. I go to theoffice again around 9 am still locked with the note. I call the number, I am outside so i can hear it ring in the managers house. No answer. I wait a few, call again and leave a message this time. We went down the road to get coffee and came back around 10 and called again. This time the gentleman answered, I explain everything and he puts me on hold and talks to his wife. Gets back on the phone and tells me I should have called last night. I explained I did call last night and a few times this morning and left a message. He tells me that when Katie isnt busy she will give me a call back. We checked out, handing the key to the people cleaning rooms in their pajamas. I waited all day to recieve NO phone call. So at about 630pm that evening I called the motel. I explained what was going on and Katie instantly started yelling at me telling me everything worked in the room and that I was just on the wrong channel. I explained we tried changing the channel, even followed the directions on the screen of how to reset the cable. I took pictures that are even time stamped but was still called a liar. Then Katie yelled and said she would not refund any of my money because I complained about the prices. Which I don't understand because I booked the more expensive room for a reason. I asked if I could get the info for the owners to discuss this further in professional manner instrad of being yelled at. Katie told me she refused to give me that info because that is what they hired her for. So who handles compaints about her. I have work in hospitality for over 15 years and never would dream of treating a customer this way.

Fir starters it definitely is not the Hilton but with that being said the rooms were great. I specifically asked for a two queen bedroom because I was sharing a room with another couple. To my surprise these rooms were actually separated I have my own room where my door would close and we had two doors to the bathroom that we could share. This was great for us and the lady there named Katie was completely awesome. We asked for some coffee for the morning and she brought us a tray with a coffee pot full of all the fixings. She let us use her lounge chairs outside because there were five of us. We really loved her and we would go here again in a heartbeat.

I called the day before my reservation and the lady on the phone sounded so very nice and friendly. When I arrived and while staying i found her to be by far the friendliest and most helpful and accommodating hotel clerk I have ever met, quite possibly friendliest employee I have encountered at any business. Not a five star motel by any means, but it’s a tiny town in the middle of nowhere Idaho. Very pleasantly surprised by my stay here and highly recommend it for anyone traveling through or visiting craters of the moon park

We started breaking down about 30 minutes outside of Arco, ID. Frantic to find somewhere to go with a mechanic who would be open on a holiday weekend, we found DK motel. The manager and her husband were beyond helpful in getting us taken care of and accommodated on such short notice. For the price and availability we couldn't have asked for more. We were able to walk around the town and wait for our vehicle to be fixed the next day, and then we were on our way. Thanks so much for all you guys did, you made a hard situation, bearable.

This motel has more to offer than just a bed and a shower. The staff are motivated by the managers that are knowledgeable and dedicated to having your stay pleasant. Katie and Nick are never not willing to help when short staffed. I work there so I feel it may be useful to know that we housekeepers approach our tasks each day as if one of our own were staying there. It is true the motel is old, but it is quaint. Plan to get changes under way did not escape the pandemic crisis and were delayed. We provide the best service and products that we have at our disposal and are happy to make adjustments due to your needs. In addition, I would just like to publicly thank Katie and Nick, who have many times made sacrifices to ensure the comfort and well being of the customers and staff.

Nice size room with a kitchen. A little run down but clean. Our room was right next to the road so I was worried about noise, but we slept well. Wi-Fi but no breakfast. But, there were two restaurants within close walking distance.Nearby activities: Not much to do in town but there are a few geologic sites near by, if you are interested in that sort of thing.

I am very happy to stay here for one night. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. When I called to make an appointment, I was still in Yellowstone Park, which was far away, but the kind lady owner reserved the last room for me and has been waiting for me. I arrived here more than 11 pm, but she still entertained me warmly. She is very friendly, warm and talkative. A great experience!

Traveling in a semi truck, it can be pretty hard to find a place to stay with parking when you don’t have your sleeper. We called super late to see if there were any vacancy, the owner answered. She was super friendly over the phone and told us to come on over. We got there 5 minutes after the phone conversation. Was greeted by a friendly face and was given amazing treatment. (Even though it was almost 1 am) she made us feel like we’ve know each other for years, gave us information on good bakeries nearby, and scenery! The room was in great shape, comfy beds, ac, good water pressure! I would definitely go back!!

If I could give this place a zero I would. I stayed for 3 nights and the manager lied. She claims they found cigarette butts under the bed and was adamant I smoked in my room. I in fact did not smoke in my room. The manager Katie is a liar and can’t seem to separate her personal life from business. When I first arrived to the room the floor was trashed and the bathroom was disgusting. There was pee all over the toilet. I ended up cleaning my own room. I would not stay here. The lost river motel will definitely be getting my business from now on.

Very nice motel for a low price and great location next to laundromat, gas station and decent restaurant. Owners were very nice and welcoming, they even let me stay a bit past check out time so I didn’t have to be in a rush. The ac kept the room nice and cool on an extremely hot summer day. The brick walls kept it nice and quiet and I didn’t here anything from the rooms next to me. The room was nice and clean, had plenty of space and everything I needed. I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Clean rooms and linens, liked having a kitchenette, bed was comfortable. It is an older motel, but is under new management who are very helpful and friendly. They are in the process of upgrading room quality. On our first stay our bed was very hard, so we told Katie, one of the owners and they replaced the mattress with a nice comfortable one! We have enjoyed staying here.J & B W.

The people were nice. It is very quaint with quite a small bathroom. The air conditioning and heat work really well, and there was 1 pillow per person.Very nearby to craters of the moon. The owners helped us find a bag we thought had been taken, they went above and beyond to assist us. I had a computer inside my bag, and it ended up being behind a door in the room we stayed in.Thank you for all your help, we will give you all the stars just because you were so great!

The room was CUTE! it's an old motel, but it is very clean. Reading the bad reviews I laughed! The guests must have had a personal issue that made them upset and decide to leave a bad review. The little rooms in the back did look like little cabins. The TV's are old, but I didn't stay in Arco to watch TV, but to visit craters of the moon.Staff was great! Had wonderful recommendations for both Craters and Yellowstone having lived near both national parks. They loaned me their personal items (hairdryer and dishes) to make me more comfortable. When they said, "if you need something, let us know" they truly meant it! THAT IS SOMETHING YOU DONT SEE EVERYDAY!If you're looking for a Hampton Hotel, drive thr extra few hours to stay in the big towns like Idaho Falls or Twin Falls. If you're looking for an inexpensive, clean, cute place to stay where you are treated like a human (not a checkbook) stay here!

Anyone who says this place is clean is either blind or needs glasses. I couldn't tell if the stain on the chair was a blood stain from a recent murder or mold that just decided to grow their on its own.. the shower look like the Creature from the Black Lagoon just took a bath in there.. the TV was an old 1990 Style TV that they probably found at a garage sale.. the electrical cord hanging off the drape rod with a nice touch.. the room had a ceiling fan too bad it didn't work.. the place was decorated like a County Jail the only thing missing with bars on the window..
