If you're looking for a chain hotel look elsewhere. This is a small motel about 20 miles from Craters of the Moon National Park. It's an older motel and the rooms are older as well.If you temper your expectations it's a perfectly fine place to stay. The room was cleaned and well-stocked and we had no issues staying. If I come back to Craters of the Moon national park again I will stay in this motel again as well.

The room was clean and quiet. I called two hours prior to our arrival to book and specifically asked about the WIFI and was told it worked great. When I arrived I was told we have no WIFI and it has been down for two days. We were lied too. If you want to watch TV you won't be able to, no channels to watch and if you do find something to watch it will keep giving errors and won't let you watch it. I would not recommend this place unless you are desperate. Even the locals say this place is the worst.

My mom had called two hours prior to making the reservation. She specifically asked if they had WIFI. She was told yes and it works good. Upon arrival and check in we were told there was no WIFI! We were lied to. We complained and one of the ladies ended up giving us her personal WIFI access.The room was clean and quiet. That was about the only thing good. The TV... well they had VERY few channels to choose from (of course no wifi so no streaming, which there TVs were not equipped to do that). When I finally found something to watch the DirectV would stop working and go to an error screen, that could not be fixed, so no TV.We had a two queen bed so technically it could have slept 4 people, there was only 1 tiny packet of shampoo!! Barely enough for one person let alone 4.We were charged $144 for the night. I would say not worth the money at all.I would only stay here if it was a last resort.Rooms: Nothing fancy but it was clean and quiet

Look, it’s not ritzy. As other reviews have said, the rooms are very basic and old and our curtains didn’t quite work properly. But as tiny-town motels go, it’s clean and comfortable, and the owner is VERY nice. She recommended the Golden West Cafe for dinner, which I now second as a recommendation. You also can’t beat the price. If you’re going to Craters of the Moon and not camping, consider supporting the local economy and staying here.

The inn's location is fantastic, situated near the iconic landmark of La Antigua Guatemala's Arco de Santa Catalina. This prime location allowed me to easily explore the city's vibrant streets, historical sites, and charming architecture.The rooms at Arco Inn were comfortable and clean, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the amenities provided were convenient and practical.

Nice motel. We arrived very late (midnight) and woke up the front desk lady, and she was super nice about it. I read that their late check in ends at 10pm, so I was worried about our late arrival, but she was friendly and helpful. The room itself was perfectly nice - a little dated, but the mattresses were actually more comfortable than many others we’ve recently slept on in our long road trip.The location is great - less than 20 minutes from the craters of the moon National monument (a fantastic sight!! In my opinion better views of long past lava activity than anything I’ve seen in Hawaii!)

I have no idea if this old motel is decent or not. I only drop by here when all stores are closed if I need a Pepsi. There's a soda pop machine in a tiny room next to the office. 75 cents per can... sure beats nothing lol

Beware of price add ons. My $87 room ended up being about $50 more with the large, undisclosed booking fee and taxes.Additional we arrived at 3:30 but no one was present to check us in. Sign on door says 3:30 check in but as of 4 pm, no one is present.Finally got in. No wash clothes in room. TV remote didn't work due to exhausted batteries. Room reasonably clean.

Such a plain simple super clean and charming place to stay. I fell in love with the woman who runs this motel. She is so sweet! She recommended a nearby burger restaurant and I had the most delicious American burger for dinner! If you are here to visit the craters of the moon national monument and are looking for an affordable place to stay this is where to go. Super super clean! I slept like a baby. In the morning she recommended pickles place for breakfast. That place was just as good as the burger restaurant I went for dinner. I will always remember my stay there.

The managers dogs bark constantly. I couldn't go into the office without getting startled by the dogs. Their was hair in the bed and the towels had stains on them. Also the carpet needs shampooing. The room smelled very bad. I was very disappointed in my stay. I would not recommend the hotel. If you're going to Arco an RV is recommended.

This should be a last resort stay. Room was not clean; there was a used bar of soap in the shower and spittle on the mirror. The floors make lots of noise and you can clearly hear your neighbors.It is across from a great park however so that’s good.

I'd give this place zero stars based on the manager alone! She's rude and disrespectful to her employees (in front of costomers!) And God forbid she thinks your wrong about something because then she'll be rude to you too! She's constantly yelling and she's always letting her dogs do whatever they please!Noteworthy details: The rooms are fine just be weary of the squawking that comes with them!

Had to stay here due to the roads getting closed. Much better than expected. Yes it's old, but was very clean with comfy bed and pillows. The lady that checked us in was super nice and helpful.

Nice place to lay down for the night, beds are comfortable place is clean and tons of water pressure. Price was cheaper going in verses bookings.com like 50% cheaper. I would of gave it 5 Stars but I had to plug in the TV and the tiny fridge was on the floor and for a big guy with bad knees that doesn't work. All in all when I come back I will stay here.

Rating 5 stars since for the price, this place surprised me. Thought for sure I was in for the roach motel, but it is clean, roomy and comfortable.Has all the amenities: a microwave and a fridge which I didn't know I was getting and that was a very nice surprise. It does have a TV that works(19" CRT) but wow I haven't seen a CRT television for at least 10 years in a hotel (for those that say 'what is a CRT TV', just know it is the old school TV and not a LCD/plasma/etc. flatscreen TV).Beds are comfortable and you could smell the clean linens.The night we were there it was super quiet, which I thought I'd hear everything, but I never heard the people next door nor did I ever hear their TV. Maybe they felt differently, since I had the kids (aka herd of elephants).It does need some TLC in the rooms and you can tell the person doing the maintenance and upkeep knows just enough to do the work, but would benefit from some professional guidance/assistance.

The TV is one with a picture tube and the satellite feed didn’t workwith such old structure.The refrigerator which was plugged in and was on a higher temperature was not coldThe door to the room did not fit the door jams, leaving a gap wide enough for mice, rats, cockroaches, and also cool beverages.Another guest was unloading his rifles and his pitbull looked like he wanted a chick of me.The fridge was on a luggage holder not a table.The table was well worn out.I didn’t pull the covers back. I figured I’m so unhappy with this, I won’t fall asleep until well past midnight so I might as well go ahead and drive three hours more to get to a clean motel that I’m not in fear about.The manager was new so I’ll cut her some slack.The manager and cleaner were the only good things.JP

The town of Arco doesn't have 5 star lodging. Stayed on night at the Arco Inn while visiting Craters of the Moon. Room was clean even if some furnishings were a little tired; water was hit, and staff were friendly. I would stay there again if I happened to be in Arco again. Also recommend breakfast down the road at Mel's; everything was good and bacon was excellent!

What a breath of fresh air (literally) the Arco Inn was to my family. My husband and I are on a road trip with our 2 kids. It was such a great experience from start to finish. Bobbie was very sweet and hospitable when making reservations and checking us in. The room was simple but comfortable, clean and had zero offensive smells. It was such an oasis in a sea of multiple bad experiences.I recommend this hotel whole heartedly!!

Sorry, forgot to take pictures... The 5 stars are "rated in comparison with value & for the small town." We stayed during the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. The management did not try to increase their pricing; very neighborly and nice. The room was clean (although insufficient electrical outlets for charging all our gear; luckily, I always travel with a plug multiplier...). Air conditioning works. If we go back to Arco, the Arco Inn has earned my repeat business!

$70 a night is a very fair price for a small town old fashioned, basic motel. Clean linens.The cathode ray TV was a blast from the past. Power shower was welcome.

The toilet was backed up when we arrived, they unplugged it, however it plugged up again and we could never get anyone for 4 hours to come and unplug it. We tried the phone, doorbell, and knocked. We finally left a note and canceled our reservations for the next 2 nights. Also there was no smoke dectector in the room. I would never stay there again, and i want the owners to contact me.
