UNBELIEVABLY GOOD FOOD!I had the Hot Burger and it was excellent! The meat was extremely flavorful and juicy! Charlie was great to visit with and the folks are kind!While the restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, the historical pictures, friendly service, and oldtime atmosphere made it worth the drive up from Orofino!I'll be back!

I saw a review about this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try after our tour of the Dworshack Dam. We got there shortly before 2:00. We were the only customers at that time. We were greeted and chose our table. It's a small diner, a little off of the main road through town. Easy to find. I had the Northfork burger, husband had a "Mac & blue" burger. I'm not sure of the actual name but it was something like that. Everyone was super nice, and our food came out fast. It was delicious! We enjoyed it. I read a review about not having much of an option for "healthy" or "protein"....Uh, it's a small family diner serving great food. If you want something "healthy" go to a chain restaurant and get over yourself.

Friendly staff, worked very well with kids and were understanding of their noise and neediness. The place has character with historical photos and articles on the walls. Food was very flavorful, portions were sizeable, and it was reasonably priced: we got 5 meals for $64

This is the epitome of a back woods diner.The decor, food, and service was small town and friendly enough.The menu is simple and the food took a minute to cook but was alright.We had a good experience here.

The staff were all friendly and offered meal and drink suggestions. It was totally relaxed and pressure free.I did not get it , but my grand daughter had a monster sized chicken fried steak dinner. It was huge!

Went for breakfast to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday. They gladly accommodated our large party quickly, we asked if they could wish my mother in law a happy birthday and the waitresses and cook organized a little routine and sang to her!! So much more than we expected, made all our days and her birthday so much more memorable!! On top of the amazing service the food was phenomenal!! Definitely recommend, wonderful place and people!!

Delicious food, friendly service, I forgot to ask them to hold the mayo & the cook came out when she saw my face (when I realized what I had done) and brought me a new bun without mayo! I love this place! Sourdough Burger, Chicken Philly...everything is so good!

Could not ask for better! Best place to get a giant burger after a day up on the lake. We all tried a different burger and each was impressive. Great food, friendly service, affordable!

This is quite a place. Old country bar and grill. Great people and friendly customers. Very interesting the way it is decorated with old time stuff on walls. You will like it but don't expect fancy or new. Parking is up the hill and behind the place.

The staff wsd great, the food was good. I had the hot dam burger and it was spicy. I also got a side o curlies that are hand cut. It was like a bird nest of fries, not a complaint. No surprises here.

Shakes was truly the best I've had in a long time that's why I'm giving it a 4 star, wait time was a bit and she offered to re-make my hand cut fries if they were cold. Thanks for asking but they were just fine.

Stopped by on our last night in Orofino. This place doesn't look like your typical restaurant and that's because it's one of those lucky little jewels tucked in a residential neighborhood where you cross the street to go to your favorite Aunt's for dinner. You know the one who cooks up a storm, is funny, friendly, and can anticipate what you need before you ask. Not the Aunt who brings a jello mold with cat food to all family meals.Hubby had the chili-size and I had the mushroom, swiss chicken sandwich. Good home-cooked flavor, actually best meals we had while in Orofino! Only negative was the lighting, for folks like me with poor vision, it was way too dim in the middle of the day. Otherwise, Kudos!
