Such a lovely hotel! Shannon was so friendly and accommodating of my late check-in, parking was without hassle, and check-out was a breeze. The room was spacious and very cozy, with a nice TV and appliances. Definitely a step up from your average hotel, though the bed and pillows could be better. But I did have an issue with soundproofing. I could hear everything my neighbor was doing—walking, running water, adjusting the AC, turning over in his bed, asking Siri to set an alarm—as loudly as though he were in my room with me. I was lucky to have a very quiet neighbor staying here solo, but anything more and I think it would have been a long night.

Just got back from a visit to the island. This is a great little hotel! The rooms were super clean and quiet and the staff were very nice and helpful. It's nothing super fancy like a resort hotel or anything but if you just need somewhere to lay your head after a long day of visiting Kaua'i this is a great option. There's a couple beaches pretty close to hang out and it's right down the road from Jojo Shave Ice, Porkys & Big Save (if you need any groceries). If you do get those groceries there is a little fridge, a microwave and a little pod coffee machine. If I ever get to come back to Kaua'i and Waimea I will absolutely stay here again.

We ended up needing a place to stay last minute during our Kauai trip and we were so thankful there was vacancy here. Oscar was extremely kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room was spacious, the bathroom was very nice and large, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall great stay and we would highly recommend

We were originally supposed to stay at an airbnb on the opposite end of the island but had a terrible experience the first night and had to look for something else short notice. We found this motel after searching on Google Maps and we were so happy we decided to stay here. Oskar really took care of us and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it!

More than met our expectations! Easy to find, central location, parking, awesome property cats. We were in a new room, so first time users of the (much bigger than expected) kitchen. The bathroom had tons of room and the bed was comfy. Front desk fellow was super nice too! We'd happily stay there again.

Nice view at the back of the hotel pier. You can laterally sees sunset everyday. However you can skip the beach as it’s look dirty and filled with trash in some Areas. Oscar the caretaker is friendly and helpful and you can rely on him for anything. He and his family of resident cats ensure your stay is purposeful and provide the highest hospitality you can ever imagine for a 3 star motel.

Best 2* hotel EVER! If you want to avoid the "resort experience" this is the way to go. Oskar, Shannon and team are on their game and have looked after us so well. This is a great base from which to explore the south and west of Kauai. Clean rooms, working everything, great people!

Stayed here for one night with my wife to see Waimea Canyon.Nothing fancy but exceeded expectations. Oscar and his cat friends are very welcoming and friendly. The town is just wonderful for an evening, little shops to see, restaurants to dine at, beaches to walk along, incredibly friendly locals, and just minutes from the amazing parks and natural beauty on the west side of the island.5/5 would stay again (and pet Alfy again)

This is a relatively small place which has well equipped clean rooms. It's a good accommodation option if you want to stay relatively close to the Waimea Canyon and wake up early to drive to the Canyon. Prices are decent compared to the alternatives and what you get, we couldn't book a room online so we came knocking after we saw the green "Vacancy" sign on. The place is currently managed by a very nice Swedish guy named Oscar that is living on site and will help you with everything that you might need. The place doesn't have any facilities, so don't expect any, no pool and not even an ice machine (though you'll find small ice trays in your freezer). I would recommend this place for a quick overnight stay on the way to or from Waimea

Great room super clean and big with ac only issue is the bed was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on but that's just me maybe. Staff is super friendly and great, lots of near by places to eat. Price is on par with everything around it but if you want a resort book in town but book here to get away. I will stay here again soon.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. Everything is nice and new. Great kitchen that had EVERYTHING, even those little things you usually have to go buy right away (dish soap, new sponge in wrapper, paper towels, salt/pepper) . Manager really made me feel like I was family and went the extra mile if I needed anything. Great little home-away-from-home!

Great place to stay in Waimea! Our room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owner was helpful and friendly, plus his pet cats are also adorable. Excellent location across the street from some small diners and within walking distance to grocery stores.

Fantastic! Extremely friendly staff and fellow guests. Beautiful accomidations. Fairly quiet town, a short walk from a nice beach, shopping and local restaurants. If you are looking for a relaxing experience away from the hectic resort crowd, this is the one.

Great place to stay as long as you aren't looking for a resort feel. Nice, big, clean rooms. A little dated but many amenities, Wi-Fi, laundry, combo fridge/freezer, microwave, bar sink area. Great location to walk around the town of Waimea, beach, and pier. Great place to stay before heading up to the Pu'u O Kila lookout.

Absolutely beautiful and cozy. From check in to check out, we felt very welcomed. We were literally minutes away from the beach and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. If you are looking for a romantic setting, this is the place.

Recommended lodging to be closer to attractions on this side of the island. Clean, quiet, and friendly reception. FYI: Otis the cat is super friendly and loves his pets!

Great, chill, quiet spot to stay in Waimea. If you have to choose between West Inn and Waimea Cottages though, I'd spring for the latter. But this place is a great alternative, especially if you want more of a hotel/motel vibe. Check-in and check-out is super easy, super chill. Only reason I deducted 1 star is because whenever I ran the a/c I got super congested and coughed. So I'm wondering if they need to change the filter.

Great room, everything we needed, wonderful touches like prefilled ice cube trays and wine openers. Above and beyond. Perfect location for exploring the south part of the island.

Close to eateries on the less touristy side of island. Nice guy named Oscar runs the place. Located near a pier on a darker sand beach- water will be muddy if it’s been raining.

It's not really cheap for what you get, but not expensive by Kauai standards. Room was very clean, had a little balcony and plenty of space. Service was always super friendly. What makes this hotel special is its close location to Waimea canyon and all the hiking there.

Loved this place! The room was better than it looked in the photos. Only downside was there was no breakfast.
