I would say it's slightly on the healthier side compared to Foodland. There's organic and vegan options. ... I can't seem to find meatballs or Tyson ready grilled chicken strips for nights when I need a faster option for dinner. ... Everyone is friendly. Parking isn't too bad. And my son LOVES the carts with the fire truck or police car in the front.

I had brought a pack of 12 cupcakes for $18.99. This was a bit expensive but I bought them because an employee at the bakery said they were butter cream.They were not, they were just wiped cream. I don't think the employee did it with malicious intent, but I would not have bought them if I was told they were $18.99 for whipped cream cupcakes.

I went in for a few baking ingredients but so many items were on sale that i could always use, from cat food to green tea to gluten-free bread, I ended up with at least 3 times more stuff than on my list. Too bad I only brought 1 shopping bag with me. You can always find good bargains here! And the staff is so friendly and helpful, too!

I have been shopping here since I returned to live on the Big Island about 30 years ago. I like them best because they have always tried to offer as much local produce, meat, dairy products, and baked goods as possible.We don’t produce anywhere near as much of our own food as we used to, and they have been forced to import more food in order to meet their customers wishes, but I appreciate their continuing effort to support other local businesses.Fresh is best!

The cashier name Paula B made me feel uncomfortable and a theft! I always go shopping with my 22 month and always have a shopping bag with me. I had snacks and her water bottle from home inside my shopping bag when went KTA to do shopping because we came from the park. As I put my unpaid items on the belt she asked if I had a bad and I said yes. I put my bag on the bagging section so I can start bagging the items that were already scanned. She looked in my bag and saw my daughters snacks and started asking what about those snacks/items with a suspicios voice? . I responded nicely that it came from home, she then looked at me and rolled her eyes!.Worst experience, I never experienced this at any stores in my life! Very unprofessional! Go watch your cctv footage and learn that KTA doesn't sell individual pack mini cookies and rice krispies!

This is a good place to buy all ur necessities if u do ur cooking. Much better than Cocso Supermart only allow members to shop there. What a disappointment with Cosco.

We went to a few KTAs on the island and it seems that this is the only store that Carrie’s the Ube cake! Best grocery store bought cake I’ve ever had. Also get there early to buy Ube mochi donuts! They sell out by early afternoon.Side note: “Two Ladies Mochi” products are sold at this store, if you don’t want to drive all the way to Hilo to visit the store itself you can get it here. We made a road trip of the entire island and wouldn’t of made it to the store front itself in time, thankfully we were able to pick it up at KTA!

A pleasure to shop. Some of the best grocery goods on the island. Local seafood as well as from around the world. The best Poké is served from traditional to Marlin, Ika, or scallops. Great selection of locally sourced vegetables, beef, pork, and seafood. Such an incredible selection of locally produced goods like honey, chips, bread, cookies, mochi, sauces, macadamia nut options, and coffee. Just wander the isles and you will likely find a wonderful variety of gems to choose from.

Very friendly staff, it was small i rarely go there but it was nice. The store was clean they also had a little take out area hot foods. That was closed but still served me rice as we were on our way to the beach. I was really satisfied with my experience shopping there.
