Love the super friendly and motivated staff at this Ace. Literally been shopping for miscellaneous... STUFF there since I was 10 years old, eagerly blowing my weekly paper route salary - sixty two bucks!, if I remember correctly - on frivolous items that I "really needed"... for one of my many hair brained ideas. The one that I remember most - and most fondly - was the steep and scary water slides that I precariously arranged on small hills in pastures nearby my home. Each slightly more perilous than the last, and limited only by the distance and height I could achieve by daisy chaining the bought or otherwise acquired garden hoses, the number of which steadily growing with each successive slide project. If id have been successful at cajoling the few friends I had nearby into landing their own paper routes or some similar source of weekly pocket money with which to purchase candy and other such supplies necessary for boys to have adequate entertainment during summer breaks, id of no doubt started extracting a percentage (a reasonable percentage, of course) of their wealth in the form of waterslide tickets and would surely be an amusement park mogul by now.Alas, that never came to pass, and now I spend my free time writing over-long reviews of local businesses, hiking trails, and beaches. Oh well, maybe there's still time!

Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Had well stocked aisles. Very expensive. Brought a dust buster at Target in Kona the day before...same model was twice as much at Ace.

A convenient hardware store. It's been told that its bigger then other locations on the Big Island. They NOT ONLY sell hardware but also party supplies. They do have a garden section. Got to check out the BBQ selections. No fishing gears but good selections of coolers on stock. Good selection of paint. And also they have a garden full of variety of plants. Don't forget to check out their seasonal aisle. Sidewalk sales. Crew is helpful and friendly. LOTS of good stuff to buy. Look out for their sales. Senior discount is on Tuesday.

BEEN LIVING ON THE BIG ISLAND FOR 15 YEARS. EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO TO THIS ACE, I HAVE A PROBLEM, ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING. NO RESPECT FOR DISABLED SENIOR CITIZENS, VETS, FORMER PRISONERS OF WAR. Drove 25 miles to pick up some lawn irrigation parts. None there even though the website said in stock. Employee told me the website is mainland average inventory and it is never right for Waimea.

These folks have a huge variety of things in inventory. They've saved me many trips to Kona over the years. Not being a big box store, you do have to pay more for some things. The garden section is great, too!

I went in with a list of parts in metric, and was quickly assisted in filling as much as possible by the friendly,very knowledgeable and courteous staff.This is my GO-to store for many of the routine needs. Also have a Great cleaning & solutions center.Thank You , Ace workers !!

Not a bad store, generally a very helpful staff. Excellent craft section. Good for paint, never mixed a bad custom color on me yet. Plumbing can be spotty, poorly stocked for some common fittings. The hardware section, particularly specialty screws can be poorly stocked as well, a lot of empty bins. Need a lot of something? Go to Home Depot in Kona for a better price and better stocking or order online.

Who knew you could get Hardware items and craft items in the same place? We're having a ball making eyelash yarn leis as they have a great supply here and no one else seems to be in stock after graduation time. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Looks a little small from the outside but once you get inside they have a little bit of everything you would need. Friendly staff and fast checkout. In back of store they have live plants and supplies.

Ace hardware here in Waimea is a hardware store and craft store rolled into one. They have a wide variety of products that will help any DYIer complete their project. If you are into making yarn leis, they got material for you, want to fix that leaking faucet? Ace has the part you need. They can mix that perfect color of paint for you, cut those keys and even supply your sweet tooth with candy 🍬. For folks who live in Waimea, it is an invaluable store to have. The customer service here is fantastic and the employees are all super friendly and helpful.

I went in for some art supplies..nice assortment of canvases, brushes , pencils and paper but over priced....i usually just pick up some paper and a pencil or two for quick needs. The rest I get online.
