This hardware store is clean and very well organized. The staff are pleasant and kind and they are always eager to help customers find their way around the store to get to the products/services that the customer is looking for. I love it that all the staff that I do bump into is knowledgeable about the products/services that they have in stock and that they are very well informed about the products/services that they have in the store. This is the biggest hardware store in the Waianae-96792 area/zip code.

I have to say I was really shocked that when you enter the store. I was greeted with "Good morning. Welcome and let me know if there is anything I can help you with." On a normal day. No one greets me when I come.I was looking for a latch to bolt down my shed. I found it and was pleased that they carried the brand that I wanted.I was also looking for a new deadbolt for my sister's front gate. The last one I bought was at another hardware store. That particular brand ( or maybe the maintenance guy who installed it) He somehow broke the bolt. So I came to my local City Mill store in Waianae to buy one for my sister.The sales associate Andy was very helpful and he helped choose the right deadbolt for.my sister's gate. My mother also has questions about cinder blocks, and cement bricks that they had. On a norm usually sales associates just brush us off or just walk away after helping with one item....Andy was very helpful, and he knew about product information/availability.I and my mother was very pleased with the service we received at City Mill at Waianae..If Home Depot is to far of a drive for you. I would definitely check out City Mill in Waianae.

The store was well organized, and the staff was helpful and friendly. There probably could have been more employees around as I had to hunt someone down for assistance. Otherwise, I'd have rated it a bit higher. But, again, the people that I did talk to were friendly.

Just had the BEST experience here. Got a paint color I wasn’t stoked on at Home Depot and the paint associate here fixed the color to something that is PERFECT just by custom adding! She is amazing!! THANK YOU!!

This local hardware chain competes with the "big box" stores by knowing their customers and carrying specific and/or inventive merchandise. When there is a power outtage, employees show up carrying flashlights to assist customers. City Mill is always my first choice for tools, furnishings, paint, electrical, plumbing, gardening, and cleaning supplies.

Don't always have everything I need but this time they had the exact key blank I needed. Their machine couldn't match it but the employee cut them manually and they worked perfectly. Much shorter drive than the big box stores who couldn't help me.

Staff was very helpful in helping me find items and right sizing. One sales associate stopped what he was doing to bring me to the isle, and helped me chose my items, instead of just directing me to the aisle. I really appreciated the help, seeing that I don't go to City Mill very often. 😊

So disgusted. I go to City Mill here and there for things I need. Prior visits were uneventful. My most recent visit I walked in 5 minutes to closing and was greeted by a young girl who said with attitude, that ugly Wai'anae I'm better than anyone attitude, "You guys know what you getting because we close in 5 minutes."I called for a manager. The manager came out and before I said a word she told me "I hope it's not her attitude." Which tells me this is an ongoing issue. City Mill has lost a customer, I will never shop here again. I feel so disrespected. The management team has made a big mistake putting this person at the front door or on the floor at all.This girl should not be an employee period. She is not able to control her behavior enough to be professional and needs more training on how to act. Sloppy very sloppy. To have this at the front door, as the first encounter a customer has, ruined my entire experience with City Mill. I expect better.

The employees are and have always been so helpful and courteous. You practically have your own personal shopper with the workers knowing where the items are and the aisles clearly noted. Its outstanding being able to get what you need easily.

The staff is very friendly. Sean in the paint department has a ton of professional experience as a painter and he is not shy about sharing it. They are all good advice. Andrew is also very helpful as well. This City Mill is my go-to place for hardware in Waianae!

The prices for some of the items are incredibly inflated. We bought a shovel from Lowes and saw the same one here for $10 more. We only grab items here when we don't feel like driving half an hour to get them. The isles aren't labeled so it's hard to find stuff in the store. You really have to walk around isle by isle and try to guesstimate where something might be.

Great hardware store and more! Have found many great things to buy here. Most employee's have been friendly and helpful. City Mill also has a wide variety of tables, chairs, desks, organizers and much more.Parking lot is nice and big.

The newly renovated version of city mill is turning out to be very much worth the wait.Their inventory is starting to expand as well.When you wanna do home repair or home improvements this is the place to go.

Friendly and helpful staff. Not much selection but I would rather shop here then leave Waianae. If you need more choices then I would go into Kapolei but for everyday items or in a pinch then I'm sure they have it. The only reason it's a 4 is not much variety for certain things. We were shopping for a weed whacker and had to make due with what they had. But overall it's always nice going in there!

I mean, if you got to, go for it. but everything is kind of generic ,overpriced, and limited selection. but if it is all you have in your neighborhood, do what you gotta do...or run like el to a Home Depot!

This is my go to store for home issues like the kitchen faucet, toilet, yard work, you know chores around the house. I would say they have all the small specialities items that their competitors would not have because it is not worth their time to have them. Plus they are a local store that was established in Hawaii in 1899.

This is my go to hardware store on the leeward coast. From my perspective prices are both higher and lower depending on which item you are buying when.compared to the big box stores so it evens out. Twenty minutes less driving each way also plays into the equation. If I’m trying to finish a project City Mill is my first choice. The customer service beats the large stores hands down.

Hard to find workers somewhere away from the register but they do help when you do find them. Things are easy to find and lots of brands to choose from. It is not like home depot but it does have the general needs. Prices could be cheaper but I guess it's okay.

Constantly low on supply. You have a 50/50 chance that they have what u want. They used to stock everything pretty well prior to renovation. But now it seems like they order stuff when they feel like it.
