This is one of my favorite stores.....nice and quiet but the ladies are awesome and sweet very kind with a shy nature.....with fresh coffee in the morning.....don't Forget To buy yourself a fresh musubi for breakfast it is one of my favorites...

Do not stop here if you are a smoker!The little madam at the counter tries to stop you smoking outside , contrary to Hawaii's 20-foot law.When I asked for a refund the little madam and her manager refused to refund for the unopened pack I had just bought because I used a debit card. Again contrary to Hawaii Law.

The 2 ladies are so nice and this store has everything you need to stock up in between grocery stores for a long day at volcanoes np: sandwiches, drinks, snacks, groceries, and beer and wine!

Love this place they have all kinds of stuff from food to hardware stuff. They were a lot nicer than the store just down the road. Keep going like 2 blocks where the Asian Food Restaurant is.

Good store to get the necessary items in case of emergency. It is quite expensive for folks coming from the mainland. But it works while you are traveling and there are not many stores around. The service is as good as it can get.

I stopped here at first daylight to grab a couple of supplies for coffee for our airbnb and the 2 ladies in the store were so nice! They have a good selection of everyday items.

This store is well stocked and bright. That being said, the exponential prices increase the farther you get from town, which is certainly on exhibit in this store. However, if you only shop for a certain item, they probably will have it.

So rude, everytime. It's actually kind of impressive how little class the owner, or owners wife has. I hope I'm not that bitter and hateful by her age. No need to rag on people for spending money in your establishment. I sincerely hope you go under and lose everything.True Value Hardware and the good general store with working gas pumps is a far superior shopping option.If you want to meet the rudest store manager on the aina come on down!

The gift shop is very nice, definitely full of unique gifts that I would love to have brought home! Unfortunately though you have to be a guest at the Volcano Inn to eat at the restaurant and enjoy the beautiful view! I found that rather disappointing.Other than that, it's worth the stop to check it out!!

This store lives up to its name they have many true value items. A good place to stock up on picnic items for your day at the park or golf course. Good parking. Must follow COVID restrictions such as wearing a mask 😷

Living in Hawaii I am well familiar with high priced convenience stores. It's to be expected, especially in rural areas, but this place is beyond high priced and down right offensive. It's got a decent selection compared to other stores in the area so I'm forced to go here under certain circumstances, but I would never give these people business if I didn't have to. Prices are absolutely unfair and their staff is totally unfriendly. I find it literally rude to charge your community those prices. $11.38 for a basic pack of playing cards? Who do you think you are??

Great old fashioned neighborhood store. Get everything from milk to mouse traps, water to wine. Certainly a historical landmark for all Volcano residents and visitors. Pick up water, a sandwich, and a hiking staff while you're preparing for your hike in Volcano National Park.

Small locally-owned convenience store; don't expect "big box" store prices. Gorgeous anthuriums and other island flowers: Volcano Store will carefully pack them to arrive on the mainland within 1-2 days, and they will last for weeks. Send some flowers to relatives/friends stuck on the mainland; share some aloha! We are lucky that we still have the Volcano Store, despite the loss of business during the pandemic, as well as the HVNP park closure due to Kilauea eruption in 2018

Visited daily the residents of the village get their supplies needed to get through the week till the dreaded Hilo trip for groceries. This place has been here for many many years. From gas and propane to wine and hard to find beer it has alot to choose from .Manapua hot dogs gravy burgers at reasonable prices but other things are expensive so we get that from Hilo. Right next door in the same building are two restaurants. The Ohelo Cafe and Eagles Nest . Both places has excellent food..enjoy

This is a good convenience store to have in Volcano. Fresh local anthurium bunches start from only $5! We got a large bouquet of fresh dahlias today for only $6!
