Love this place. They have wonderful baked goods, especially the macnut bars. If anyone figures out how to make these I would love to know. We also tried the banana and pumpkin bread. They also make to order sandwiches. I have attached the menu of items that they will put on it. The store has about anything that you could need: Wine, beer, food, snacks, and baked goods.

Very expensive for such a basic shop, but does offer nicely filled subs with lots of options.If you’re like us and are unprepared for the weather then they do sell hoodies and joggers :)

$7 cappuccino and it was mostly milk. Don’t come here for coffee even though they have an espresso machine. Definitely not a good representation of Kona or Kau coffee on this island

Even though they have most of the things you probably need, the prices are ridiculous. nothing has a price written so you will have a very negative surprise at the cash desk. 2 apples for 6$, bread for 12$. I will not comeback

Great store! The staff was so nice. The chewy mac nut cookies are outta this world. Ideal place to stop and grab some provisions before heading into Volcanoes NP, or anytime!

While this place is practically in the middle of nowhere, it definitely takes advantage of that. Charging 10 dollars for 12 eggs and the same for a loaf of bread is just outrageous. Nothing in the store is priced, so you come to find this out while at the cash.However, the staff were friendly and the baked banana bread is a great hiking food.

Loved the veggie subs! There were so many veggies to choose from so the sandwich was filling and not at all boring. Great place to stop for subs to take to Volcanoes National Park for a nice picnic lunch. They even put the sauce on the side so the sandwich wouldn't get soggy. And there are plenty of snack options to go with the subs.

This general store has great sub sandwiches where you choose your own toppings and they are made fresh for you! It is a great option when a lot of other restaurants in Volcano are closed. They also have delicious macadamia nut bars and mac nut cookies!

Holy mama made-to-order subs at amazing prices (sub $10 for a large size).Like a build it yourself subway but a million times better.Take it out and enjoy it at a lookout on the way up the Mauna Loa road near the Kileau lookout turnoff.

We loved this little place. They have the best baked goodies, coffee and sandwiches. The woman that helped us this morning was probably the most helpful person we have met during our visit to Volcano. I think she said her name was Tammy?? Anyways you have to make a stop and check them out.

Nice little general store with basic staples in Volcano. Nothing fancy here for groceries, but they do offer some homemade jams and spreads as well as freshly made coffees (a nice substitute for you Starbucks junkies) and made-to-order sandwiches for just $8-$9 - perfect for taking with you on your day adventures into Volcanoes National Park or elsewhere. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

Nice local gas station connected to a diner. You can get fancy coffee, house made subs to order and pizza to go in the afternoon among other grab and go items.

We visited this grocery/general store a couple of times during our stay in Volcano and every employee we met was super nice! We don't always get this kind of friendliness from locals, so I just had to write a review! We mainly visited to pick up to-go sandwiches, as the town of Volcano doesn't have many restaurants and we needed something cheap and quick for our afternoon activities. Sub sandwiches were super tasty with fresh ingredients. There is a small window to order subs from right when you enter the store. They also have espresso coffee drinks, which was a nice surprise for a small town, as well as snacks, drinks, alcohol (beer, wine, and some hard liquor), and limited groceries. Excellent little place!

The place displayed 1.59 water instead 2.09The big woman was extremely dismissive and abrupt cut me off and said we dont price our water.When showed she said it was old.Store missed out on money because of her nasty attitude!Tourist go elsewhere!Locals encourage better!

Perfect stop before or after your hike at the national parks.They also have some 🔥 freshly made sandwiches. The pastrami on sunflower bread is so good.

Shop owner was friendly and helpful. It's helpful to be able to get basics without going down the mountain. Snacks, batteries and quick home repair supplies were all stocked. Very spacious and everyone was following the new normal ppe and distancing rules while still maintaining small town, old school charm.

Its clean little general store. It has fresh bread sandwiches and pizza that that you can add what you want on it. There were 2 of us and it filled us up with 1/2 leftover at first it doesnt look very big but its deep and worth $15. They have a little of everything except the only thing I couldnt find is a Redbox so pick up your movie before heading to Volcano Village area if your staying the night.

We stayed a mile from this store and visited very often because it has great variety and we'll stock, the lady there is so nice and helpful. If she didn't sell what I was looking for, but had it in her kitchen she would just share or point to the store that have it. Also this store is open when most others are closed.

Great stop for a simple lunch when everything else is closed. Fresh custom subs and homemade soups (we had an excellent Portuguese Bean) and chili available. Picnic tables are available in town at the Cooper Center.

Avoid if you can.Very poor selection, prices are exorbitant (5$ for a pack of crisps). Expected to buy ingredients to make sandwiches for a trip the next day, but not stocked.Nice selection of beers though, which are relatively cheap (<3$

Omg the best pizza! Everyone works very hard here. I get garlic spread, ham and onions. I am so thankful for these hard working ladies and gentlemen, especially when we are too busy with customers to cook for ourselves.

Amazing sandwiches. If you are going to the park stop here and get a sub sandwich. They make them fresh and bake the bread in-house. Sooooo good we went 2 days in a row!!
