I was on my way to hike at HVNP but was too lazy to make a sandwich. I stopped here and ordered a tuna on cranberry walnut bread to go. What was really great was the way the kind girl tightly wrapped the sandwich in paper and sealed it in a baggy. Perfect to go in my backpack! And wow, it was delicious. Very gourmet. The way the sweet from the cranberry bread complimented the spicy from the radish sprouts was awesome. Also, it was so big, I got two meals out of it. What I liked best was how quickly my meal was freshly made to my order. If you are looking for wholesome food and don't have a lot of time to wait, I highly recommend Eagles. They had homemade soups and chili that smelled wonderful too!Parking: Ample free parkingKid-friendliness: Kiddos welcome

If you are on your way to Volcano National Park and want a bite to eat before heading in or something to take with you while there then you'll definitely want to stop here. We got the tuna and turkey sandwiches. Not only did they taste good but they were stuffed to the brim! My husband and I shared one & the kids shared the other. That was plenty, plus some chips, for all of us. We wished we were closer to be able to come back and try more.

Okay, first up: this place is Local, With Personality. There will be Jesus signs. There will be hyper-efficient service that appears rude, until you stop & have a chat (and they're awesome people, when they're not busy). But the sandwiches are EXCELLENT for a day exploring the National Park, and easily the best sandwiches I ate in 2 weeks in the USA. The best I've had outside of a NY deli, actually!Breakfast is basic but omg get the fried rice & Portuguese sausage for a local treat and fuel up for a day of walking. You ARE going to walk, right? Don't be That Tourist Who Drives The Park. Go live a little.

Nomming on this packed $8 (choose your own bread/meat/cheese/toppings) sandwich! Delicious carrot cake too. Perfect for lunch after spending the morning at Kīlauea, a short drive from Hawaii Volcanoes NP. If you’re not feeling a cold sandwich, there are hot lunch specials throughout the week that start after 11 am. Breakfast menu (breakfast bagels, rice bowls, etc) looked great too. Outdoor covered picnic tables to chow down. Also has gas station right next door to fill up before getting back on the road. Highly recommend.

I got a sandwich, a huge brownie and a little thing of potato salad today. All of it was great. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich and the bread n butter pickles were wonderful. The potato salad was delicious. Wish I had another one.The young lady that made my sandwich was a delight. Thanks so much. It was greatly appreciated and the sandwich price was a steal. : )

We were a little surprised after seeing the strong set of good reviews to walk into this joint.We stopped for a quick coffee and breakfast on our way to the park. Coffee options were that from a gas station-style dispenser and most breakfast options (maybe minus the fried rice?) seemed to be prepackaged from Costco or the like. My husband’s breakfast sandwich felt like some Jimmy Dean. Overall, it was kinda a bummer. We were hoping for more.The facility was also kinda cramped. The order station is a 6’x6’ area between cases with a really nice guy trying manage folks coming and going. Once outside, it was okay. There’s patio tables and benches, thankfully all covered from the rain.So we really wanted to like this place. It just wasn’t our best visit in Volcano and its village. We may try again a different time of day.

Good place for an affordable meal. Fried rice bowl was a good portion size where I didn’t feel overly stuffed, but was satisfied. I got it with brown rice and Portuguese sausage. I’ve had higher quality Portuguese sausage, but it was still yummy and at a good price point. I recommend adding soy sauce on the rice & some chili oil to give it some more flavor.

Very small portions for the price. They only offer scrambled eggs in the form of a patty. Never seen it before. Lol.The person who took our order and rung us up was nice. She was wrestling a child while she was taking orders but didn’t miss a beat or a word.The food was quick to arrive and, even though it was tiny, it was something hot to eat on a chilly morning.It was beautiful, peaceful, and away from the main road. We were able to enjoy our bfast and one another’s company. Could have done without the plastic bowls/utensils and all the scriptures hanging around the place. Overall, pleasant experience.Parking: Lots of spaces. Open area.Kid-friendliness: Beautiful open area. Decent amount of tables to sit at. Kids who enjoy the nature and being outside would love it.Wheelchair accessibility: Have to climb steps in order to go inside and place an order. The seating area outside is ground level.

Absolutely wonderful!!Outdoor seating in the early morning sun! Open at 7:00🤙🏽The most decadent Frosted Cinnamon Rolls made on premises!!!So good with hot coffee after camping at the Park🤙🏽The breakfast was generous and delicious! Real scrambled eggs, savory fried rice with spam and vienna sausage! Six crispy perfectly cooked pieces of bacon!!My traveling partner Blue Dog says 5 Stars and paws up😎😍

The place is amazing. It's relatively close to the national park and is decently cheap for Hawaii. My wife and I got a full meal each with desert and only paid about $30. The atmosphere is nice with outdoor COVERED seating so you can eat any weather and appreciate the beautiful gardens across the street. The menue is limited and on a first come first serve, but each option is delicious.Vegetarian options: They offer a lot from veggie sandwiches to even bean salads even vegetarian chili. Feel free to call and inquire more prior to arriving, but all diets are accommodated.Dietary restrictions: They offer many foods that give an option for any diet. From plant based to full carnivore, they have food for all.Parking: There are a out 8 parking spots behind the restaurant and is first come first serve, but it is normally not super busy.Kid-friendliness: They offer all kinds of food and have pretty photos and several amazing diagrams and reading material on the wall in the seating area. There's lots to keep both their stomachs and imagination fed.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately it is NOT wheelchair accessible to enter the store, but there is a menue on the wall outside and a number for you to call and they will happily bring your food to you. There is wheelchair accessible seating.

Prices almost doubled on the sandwiches, but besides that…This place isn't fancy but it is definitely cozy with very inspirational quotes all over their walls. The staff is always kind. Sometimes there is a line to wait to order, but you're never waiting too long, but it's worth the wait if you do! 🤗Eagle's Lighthouse has some of the best grinds! 🤤 I go there for my lunch breaks when I'm in the area almost every time, and I usually get a sandwich, along with their famous brownie. Well, I consider it famous anyway, because they make my day much better! AMAZING! 🤗 If you dont see them, ask for them! Big enough to share.Their sandwiches are excellent, packed with a good amount of protein, cheese and veggies. Will not dissappoint!Their prices did go up a little but not like other places where they inflate their prices a lot and shrink their portion sizes... all n all it's a good price for what you get.Let's fight inflation! ABOLISH THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK!Anywho, like I said, will not disappoint.There's no inside seating for eating but they have plenty of tables outside.And I usually tip a buck or two if I have the cash. They appreciate it very much!Looking forward to my next visit!Mmmmm! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

What a great experience. Great sandwiches and plenty big. The German chocolate cake with macadamia nuts was to die for.As most have said the people who work there make the experience. The pastrami was great.I would’ve gone there for every meal if I could!!!

Fast, friendly, filling and delicious!! What more can you ask for!! Perfect freshmade sandwiches, homemade chili and much more! Only a few minutes from where I stayed in Volcano, perfect for a quick bite! Everyday I got a breakfast and a sandwich, and everytime it was perfection!

What a great find! We had just finished a long hike through the Volcanoes National Park and were beat, so we wanted something very casual. This little treat was close, and we're so glad we tried it! We were fortunate to get the last two specials of the day and they were scrumptious! LOTS of food and a very reasonable price. We enjoyed the outdoor seating as the weather (in July) was very pleasant.

Came here 3 years ago and had to revisit. They make the best Portuguese bean soup and the best sandwiches on the island. They do half portions on sandwiches - they're huge so half might be enough. Lovely staff and there's a place to sit and eat outside with shelter.

We tried the pastrami sandwiches, hamburger steak, and Lau Lau plates and can recommend them all. Everything was delicious and I cant wait til we are back in the area and can eat here again. Generous portions and fast and friendly service.

Fantastic local cafe with super reasonable prices located close to Volcano National park.Sourdough bread boule with vegetarian chili was delicious. Sandwich had generous portions & fresh toppings. Try the black forest cake topper with cherries!Super friendly & helpful staff - definitely recommend stopping in for tasty lunch

Stopped in for breakfast as it is near our hotel. We were warmly greeted with the such friendly faces! Picked up breakfast bowls and the best cinnamon roll I have had in a long time. Aloha and mahalo for such a sweet spot and your kindness!
